La stood in front of the altar as her coronation took ce. It was nighttime and the moonlight shone.


    The pale light of the moon shone down on La as she stood before the altar, her gown glittery with diamonds. She looked radiant. Around her, the gathered crowd whispered and murmured, their eyes fixed on the young woman who was about to be crowned queen.


    The ceremony was long and intricate, full of tradition and ritual. La was nervous, but she tried to keep her face calm andposed as she recited the ancient vows. She knew that this moment would change her life forever, and she was determined to make the most of it.

    La felt someone’s hold on her and she looked down to see Nn holding her hand in support. He had been supporting her all this well and she felt happy that he did that.


    “You look very dashing for a queen..” he smiled and La smiled back at him.


    “The crown suits you ..” he grinned.


    La couldn’t help but blush a little at Nn’s words. He had always had a way of making her feel special, even when she was surrounded by hundreds of people. She felt a rush of gratitude towards him, for being there for her through everything.


    “Thank you, Nn,” she said , her voice soft but sincere.


    “You’re a good friend, and I couldn’t have done this without you.” La stated, as she felt it would be better to call him her friend.


    He was nice to her but she didn’t know if he epted her yet.


    “Friend?” Nn looked at her with a questioning gaze as his jaw worked.


    “Yes friends..” she confirmed.


    “It’s only best to say we’re friends, isn’t it?” She raised a brow at Nn who shook his head slowly.


    “We’re mates who are already mated and we’re expecting our first child. I can’t believe you addressed our rtionship as friendship..” he chuckled in amusement as he held up La’s hand.


    “Then what are we? Lovers?” La looked at him with a challenging re.


    No doubt she already liked Nn right before they came to the pack and all but the same couldn’t be said for him. He only started being nice to her after learning about her pregnancy.


    “I have something to tell you…” he began as La held her gaze with his.


    “But that will be after we get to the room…” a sly smile pulled up at the corner of his lips. Then he nted a kiss on her knuckles.


    “Can I have this dance my queen?” He bowed and La nodded in agreement as she smiled brightly.


    La felt her heart flutter as Nn took her hand and led her to the dance floor. The music was slow and romantic, and she felt herself rx as she let herself get lost in the moment.


    She was surprised at how easily she fit in his arms, as if they were made for each other.


    Nn held her close, his eyes never leaving hers. “I have to admit, you make a very beautiful queen,” he said, his voice soft.


    “A queen who sucks at dancing..” she uttered trying to match out with the slow music ying in the background.


    Nnughed, a rich, deep sound that made La’s heart flutter.


    “You don’t suck at dancing,” he said, his eyes twinkling. “You just need a little practice, that’s all.”


    “Just follow my lead and you’re good to go..”


    La followed his lead, her feet moving with more grace than she thought possible. She found herself rxing even more, letting the music and Nn’s touch guide her.


    It felt like a dream, like something out of a fairy tale.

    They both danced for a while and then the music stopped.


    “Thanks Nn..” La uttered as he led her out of the dance floor.


    “My pleasure…” he said as they both looked up to see Aurora approaching them.

    La was about to approach Aurora when Ca suddenly appeared in front of her.


    “Ca..” La called looking surprised to see her. Ca had been scared these few days and theirst experience was not so pleasant.


    “I see you’re enjoying your time with Nn..” Ca said as her eyes traveled to Nn who was busy speaking with one of the guests.


    “I don’t get you..” La looked at her with a perplexed look on her face. Taking a second look at Ca, La discovered she was almost dressed like her.


    Ca wore a dress whose designs were almost like hers, the main difference was that Ca’s was short and her hair.


    “I said enjoy the fun while itsts. You’ll never be a good queen, you’re nothing less than a human vessel carrying Nn’s child. He would have long thrown you out if not for the pregnancy which you obviously used to tie him down..” Ca used as she stared at La with hatred.


    “You just have lost your mind..” La said not surprised by Ca’s words at all. She had always known her to be very cruel.


    “No I’m not. Sooner orter. Nn will choose his mistress. Oh did I say mistress! I meant mistresses La..” Ca deadpanned and La’s face wore a state of shock.


    “Enjoy his presence now because it won’tst for long, my queen..” she spat with pure sarcasm.


    “And I’m going to make you pay for that p La and I’m going to start by taking Nn from you. Wait till he chooses me as his mistress..” Ca uttered with a triumphant look on her face and La wanted to burst outughing at that moment.


    “You should be ashamed of yourself Ca..” sheughed.


    “I don’t me you though. I me your childishness. You can dream big but I’m certain Nn will never choose you as his mistress not to talk of even choosing someone else..” La stated in a firm voice now she knew Ca was still interested in Nn. What a bitch!!


    “Enjoy the party Ca. I have people to meet. I mean my subjects..” La patted her shoulders as she made way to walk away from Ca.


    But Ca had other ns in mind, just when La was leaving, she stretched out her leg and La unknowingly stumbled on her feet resulting in a fall.
