I awoke as two guards dragged me inside of the warden’s office. I had been here before, a couple of days ago when I was admitted here. They tossed me onto the ground where I landed on my face on the floor. The warden was looking out the window and wasn’t facing me.
“Pleased to see you, Proxima.” she said.
I remembered the warden. She had long blonde hair and brown eyes and wore a monocle on her left eye. She wore a black suit that had army badges on the chest area. She was a human. An idiot. Her office was fairly big with her big white desk in the middle with all of her gadgets. The guards who had tossed me in threw just in front of her. I got up and I walked towards her.
“Why have you brought me here?” I asked her, “Was it because I kicked someone in the balls?”
“Partially.” she said. “Did you seriously think I wasn’t aware of your training?”
“You were? But then that means you could have put a stop to it.” I said. My eyes glanced around and I noticed the scalpel on her desk! The guards were looking at me though. I didn’t want to raise suspicion.
“I didn’t put a stop to it.” says the warden. “I didn’t because I was interested in the end product. What good could stopping it have done. Solitary would push you and your killer friends over the edge, Proxima.”
“What do you mean by that?” I said squinting. She just stayed silent and then continued.
“Are you gonna send me to solitary?” I ask.
“No. No. You’re a princess… former princess.” says the warden. “That would be shameful.”
“I think kicking someone in the balls is pretty shameful.”
“You did good. I would have done the same.” said the warden. “I’m Kira.”
“Kira.” I said.
“You can refer to me as mistress or warden Kira.” said Kira. “Because I want you to join my team of guards. We could use some girl power here. You’ve got the strength.”
“I get it. You wanted me to join, so that’s why you didn’t stop my training.”
“Ah. You understand.” says Kira.
“If I work for you, can I get rid of the electrified residue on my arm?”

“Unfortunately not, a safety measure placed on prisoners working as guards is that they still have the marking so that if they were to try to escape, they would be shocked instantly.” she says. She goes to her closet inside of her office and picks out a guard uniform. The uniform was grey and had blue highlights that went around the side of my legs and torso.
“Put it on.” she said.
“Now?” I asked.
“Yes.” she said. She pushed me into the closet and closed it. I changed into the outfit and came out with it on, handing her the prison jumpsuit.
“Good.” she said. She led me to the elevator where we headed inside.
“Where are we going now?” I ask.
“We are going to solitary, so I can demonstrate what we do there and also what happens if you misbehave,” said Kira. The elevator arrived at the lowest point where we walked into the dark grey and black hallways of solitary. She led me into a room, which looked like a shooting range. At the edge of the shooting range was a prisoner that had gotten into a fight recently. I remember him being taken away by the guards. The shooting range was a long room with him tied to the wall and a piece of rope in his mouth. The guards were all throwing a new weapon that they all received. It was a dagger that was coated in poison. One hit the prisoner and blood began to pour as he started to cry. Kira just walked in and smiled.
“I’m sorry.” she said to the prisoner. “You aren’t gonna misbehave anymore right?”
The alien man was in tears as he nodded to her phrase. I was shocked. Then I remembered two things, the first thing I remembered was that this was the Morvit institute and that he probably committed some terrible actions. The second thing I remembered was what Linc said about Kira. He said that she was awful and that she didn’t treat people well. I wasn’t aware of what I was getting myself into, working for this psycho. I just needed the scalpel.
The guards removed him from the range and dragged him back to his cell, upstairs.
“Do you do this with all of the solitary prisoners?” I asked.
She nods.
“I always do. This teaches them that they need to work. You agree too, right?’ Kira asks.
“I do.” I lied.
“I knew it. I knew we’d click.” says Kira. She took her hand around me and then gave me an order.
“Your first task is to monitor the prisoners and make sure they are working. Have them be sent to solitary if they don’t work, okay?” she said.
“Yes, ma’am.” I said. I walked through with the keycard I managed to find in my pocket and I walked back inside of the factory and Linc, Jakob and Byne looked at me as I walked in. Linc frowned seeing the uniform. I walked to them.
“She recruited you?” said Linc. “She’s crazy.”
I came closer to them and whispered.
“She is.” I whispered. “I’m gonna get out of here.”
“What do you plan to do?” said Linc.
“I need to get close to her to get that scalpel. I will gain her trust.” I said. “I’ll take her scalpel later.”
“Okay.” says Byne. “Linc, when do we get involved?”
“When Prox says so,” said Linc.
“Just give me more time.” I said. “Tomorrow night is when we will get this plan up and running.”
“Sounds good.” says Linc.
“STUPID PIECE OF CRAP!”
I turned to see a buff alien, one of Mickestro’s lackey yelling at some other inmates inside of the factory. The lackeys shoved another alien onto the ground. The alien was super boney and was 1 metre tall. He seemed to be old as he cried on the ground.
“You think you are such a disgusting old man,” said the lackey. I walked up to him. His face saddened as he saw me in a guards uniform. I started to threaten the stupid idiot.
“I can report this straight to the warden now. BACK OFF!”
I slapped him in the face as he stepped back.
“Princess Proxima. What would your dead mother think of you now?”
I just stood there frozen when he mentioned my mom. I knew he was trying to spit stuff to try to get me to freeze or back off, but I didn’t think of my mom. I knew my mom was caring and always tried to avoid violence in a conflict. I did say I wanted to be like her.
“Proxima. Knock him out!” yelled one of the guards behind me. I stood frozen as the guard pressed a button and tased him onto the ground.
“Let’s take this one for solitary.” said the guard.
“I’m sorry I froze up.”
“It was just a slip,” said the guard. “Don’t do it again!”
He walked off dragging the lackey away.
