Chapter 1435 Murderer
Felix took a deep breath to calm himself down. He willed himself to focus on the task at hand.
He poured the bag of drugs in the ss. He waited for the powder to dissolve in the water so that it
wouldn''t look any different.
He looked back the living room for onest time and there Lillian was sitting in silence. He felt sorry for
her as she had no idea that she would be dead soon.
''Sorry. I hope you don''t get mad at me. I don''t have a choice. Someone has to do it. Let''s just consider
this as a testament of your love to me. The ultimate sacrifice, ''

he thought to himself.
He gazed at the ss in his quivering hand. He knew that there was no going back once he did it.
Suddenly, Lillian called, "Honey, is everything okay over there?"
He told her that he was getting her water and it was taking an unusually long time. She couldn''t help
but worry. Did he have trouble finding where everything was because it was dark? She was so anxious.
She would only feel better if he was by her side again.
"Don''t worry. I''m going back now!" he answered from the kitchen.
He calmed himself down and acted like he normally would as he took the ss and walked back to the
living room.
When he came back to the living room, he ced the ss on the table lightly. She threw herself into
his arms and whined, "What took you so long? I was waiting for you!"
He covered her mouth with his rather passionately.
They separated a few minutester. They were both breathless after.
He had already made up his mind and he couldn''t put it off any longer. It was now or never. He didn''t
have time to pity her. The clock was ticking and he had to do it right away. The only way for all of this to
end was to kill her.
He closed his eyes and tried to put himself in the state of mind that would allow him to do this—he was
determined.
"Drink some water. Your voice sounds so hoarse. You need water to soothe your throat."
She didn''t expect that he''d be so attentive to her needs. He was so thoughtful. She was delighted. Love
was blind and that was true for her. She would agree to anything he told her.
She grabbed the ss with a huge grin. It was warm just like her heart.
But Felix wasn''t feeling the same way. He stared at her and then at the ss in her hands. She slowly
lifted it to her lips.
He fixed his gaze at the ss. His emotions were all over the ce as he watched her touch her lips to
the ss of water.
Suddenly, she paused. "Would you like to drink too? I didn''t think to offer you something to drink earlier.
You must be feeling thirsty!"
Felix thought that Lillian must have been getting suspicious. He widened his eyes as he was already
freaked out.
He touched his nose unconsciously and then let out a nervousugh. "No, I don''t want water. Go ahead
and drink."
She didn''t argue anymore as she was feeling thirsty herself. She tipped the ss and drank the water.
When she put down the ss, her lips were still wet.
A range of emotions went through Felix as he watched her drink the water. He felt some relief and he
also felt some emptiness.
There were so many emotions going through his chest right now and he started to feel his chest
constricting.
He waited for the drug to take effect. He even started counting in his mind.
After a while, Lillian said that her stomach was aching. Her face was pale and beads of sweat were
rolling down her forehead. She opened her mouth but realized she was unable to make any sound.
As Felix watched Lillian struggle, his eyes were full of sympathy. ''Just hold on for another 30 seconds
and you''ll finally be free, '' he said in his mind.
As it happened, all his memories with her shed in his mind. He could feel tears building in his eyes.
As expected, she foamed at the mouth as blood came rushing out. She struggled to lift her head and
look at him. There were understanding and disbelief in her eyes.
He lowered his head to avoid her eyes. He didn''t want to face her.
When he lowered his head, she closed her eyes and soon, fell to the floor with a heavy thump. She had
lost consciousness.
She couldn''t believe what was happening till the moment she fell. She had no time to feel anything
else. Thest thing she felt was regret.
When Lillian fell, Felix ced a finger under her nose—there was no air. He had to confirm if she was
truly gone. He had to confirm if the only person who''d known his secret was gone.
He was scared. He was trembling from head to toe. Fear was stamped on his face. He''d never killed a
human being before. He never expected that he could ever do this.
He was so scared. He stared at his hands in disbelief. He would do anything to forget everything that
transpired that night.
But soon, he came back to his senses. He snapped out of his fear. He grabbed the envelope he had
brought and put it next to her body.
After, he started cleaning the ce for any fingerprints or anything that could implicate him. He had to
make sure there was no trace of him left there. When he was done, he took onest look around the
house and left.
