Chapter 48. Jealous her
Athena was bored sitting on the bed all day. Everyone left Dominic’s mansion long ago, including
Dominic himself. Now she was alone in the house. Even Ace left with Justin and Patricia. They took her
to the park to y with other kids.
And Suzanne… only she knew how she convinced her best friend to not ask any questions regarding
anything. She had to promise Suzanne to tell her everything until the right timees. Though she
didn’t know when the right time mighte, that time wasn’t it for sure.
The answer of Suzanne’s question was going to mess things up more than it already was. She couldn’t
afford that until she got a hold of the situation again and got everything under control. Until then she
has t o be really careful.
She let out a sigh and walked down the bed. She recovered really fast this time even though she
doesn’t have her wolf with her. She knew it was the mate bond which was helping her recover so fast.

She sighed once again before pushing those thoughts out of her head and walked outside the room.
She decided to explore the house that day. It’s been weeks since she has started staying there but she
never got the chance to explore anything of this pack.
She looked around the corridor and noticed that there were four rooms on that huge floor. She was
confused.
“One of the rooms is his bedroom, the one where Ace is staying is a guest room. The other ones are
his office room and a library. Then where did Stacey used to sleep when she used to live here?” She
thought out loud, without thinking of anything. She didn’t notice that someone was standing beside her
as she said those things aloud.
“Huh, are you that stupid?!”
Athena turned around in defence as soon as she heard someone scoffing and insulting her. She was
caught off guard as she wasn’t expecting anyone there. She frowned deeply as soon as she saw who
was standing there and she felt irritation crawling up through her skin to her head.
“Stacey? What are you doing here? And what do you mean by that?” Athena asked with a scoff as well
which was matching the look of Stacey’s face.
“Why are you so shocked to see me here? Didn’t you expect me here because you forbade me from
coming here?” Stacey asked with a frown as they stood only one hand away from each other. Athena
looked at her in pure confusion and annoyance at the same time.
“What are you talking about? And why would I forbid you froming here?” She asked in a ridiculous
tone as Stacey’s unnecessary words weren’t making any sense to her.
“Don’t pretend in front of me, Athena. We are both past that after everything that happened, okay? I
know that you are jealous of me and that’s enough reason for you to forbid me froming here. As it
was the same reason you snatched everything away from me and ruined my life.” Stacey snapped at
her while taking an supposed intimidating step toward Athena. Athena gave her a ridiculous look.
“You are really delusional, Stacey. What do you have for me to be jealous of you?” Athena asked with a
scoff and that taunt angered Stacey beyond limit.
“You really want to know that answer? Then listen carefully because that might answer your first
question about where I used to stay as well.” Stacey snapped while fuming in anger but she still had a
sick smirk o n her face which made Athena frown.
She still couldn’t understand why she was having this useless and pointless conversation with a brat
like Stacey. She wanted to explore the mansion peacefully but guess she was not going to get that
done today. As even if Stacey leaves soon, her mood is already ruined for the day.
“I don’t want to know. Can you please leave me alone after doing whatever we came here for? I want to
stay alone.” Athena scoffed at her before turning around to leave and let Stacey do whatever she
wanted t o do.
She didn’t want to interact with a woman like her. But before she could take one step away from there,
Stacey spoke up again which stopped her on her steps. Her blood boiled and anger rose inside her
heart which she won’t be able to exin ever.
“I used to stay in his room with him. I used to sleep on his bed, in his arms. Exactly on the bed where
you were sitting a few minutes ago. Do you understand now what you took away from me?” Stacey
shouted, making Athena frown.
Athena turned around sharply and looked at Stacey deep in the eyes. Her eyes were turning dark
dangerously as her fisted hands were shaking to keep the race under control.
“What the fuck are you trying to say?” She asked with gritted teeth.
“What I am saying is, Dominic was mine. His love, his touch, his room, his bed, belongings and
everything rted to him belonged to mine. But you snatched that away from me in the name of some
fake bond! But guess what’s the difference between you and me regarding him?” Stacey asked with a
smirk. Athena kept looking at her with dark eyes without replying to her words. Because she knew that
there wasn’t any fruit because Stacey was going to say what she got to say anyway.
“The difference is even though he belonged to you now for the sake of the mate bond but you can
never have him the way I had.” Stacey stated proudly, making Athena angrier.
Athena couldn’t understand why Stacey’s words were bothering her. It wasn’t supposed to because she
didn’t care about the mate bond. She didn’t care about Dominic. Then why still felt a burn inside her
heart whenever Stacey was taking his name from her mouth. Why did she have this strong urge to shut
Stacey up forever so she would be able to take her name anymore.
“What. Do. You. Mean?” Athena gritted out each words from the sentence as she looked at Stacey,
ready t o murder her if she says anything she wasn’t supposed to.
“What I meant is a very simple thing. Think a little. You slept on his bed but was he with you? Was he
beside you, holding you the whole night as you slept? Before he hardly used to go to the pack house..
Most of the time he used to work from home, from here. But now that you are here, he is not here. He
went to the pack house. He doesn’t like you. He doesn’t like your presence and hence he is doing so.
He i s staying away from you. Wanna know another fun thing?” Stacey asked with a smirk, taking
another step toward her and standing very close to Athena.
“Shut up and leave. I don’t want to talk to you.” Athena scoffed while breathing hard as she was feeling
really weird at that moment. Stacey smirked seeing the difort look on her face because she was
feeling really satisfied,
“Wanna know why I came here?” She asked and didn’t wait for Athena’s response as she started to
speak again. “I came here to take my things from Dominic’s room as I already told you that we both
used to stay in his room together. And now I think he is going to stay with me in the pack house and we
are going to share a room again.” She said happily and her happiness increased ten folds, seeing
Athena angry.
“You better stop right now, Stacey. Before I do something you and I both will regret.” Athena threatened
a s she looked dangerous at that moment.
She was so lost in controlling the new feelings she was feeling whenever Stacey uttered Dominic’s
name that she didn’t notice the changes in her body. She didn’t notice how vicious she was turning and
how
sounded. But Suzanne noticed it all and she was getting scared slowly. She frowned a little as she took
a small step back, creating a little distance between them. But she didn’t want to show that to Stacey
and that’s why she nned to go with her original n ofing here.
“Why? You think you can scare me now just because you are Luna now? Do you think I am afraid of
you? Then joke on you Athena, I am not afraid of a weakling like you. Do you understand?” Stacey
snapped on her face and this time it was Athena who took a dangerous step toward her.
“Whom do you think you are calling a weakling?” She asked in a bone chilling tone.
“You, who else? You don’t even have your own wolf now and you think you scare me? You are funny,
Athena. I can kill you right this mo-….” She couldn’tplete her sentence when Athena grabbed her
throat out of nowhere and mmed her against the door.
“SHUT UP! SHUT THE FUCK UP!” Athena growled out loudly as she started to raise her hand up and
Stacey’s leg started to lose connection with the ground.
The grip was so tight that Stacey couldn’t say another word as she trashed around to get freed. It was
fruitless as Athena was in a daze. She looked dangerous and almost monstrous and her only goal
seemed to make Stacey shut up.
“I told you to shut up! Didn’t I? But you just don’t listen at all! Do you?! But now you will! You all not talk
again and take his name again. You will never take Dominic’s name again because I am going to
kill….” Athena couldn’tplete as she was suddenly pulled away from her position abruptly and
