Nn stood unmoving as it seemed that his world came to an abrupt stop. He felt like he had lost everything that very moment, as his wife and daughtery unconscious on the ground.


    He could still hear Noelle’s heartbeat but the same couldn’t be said for La whose heartbeats were very faint. She was literally half dead.


    “This is what you get… ” Ca never got to finish her statement as a blow came flying towards her.


    Nn hit her so hard that she lost three of her teeth and she began to bleed.


    Ca staggered back, clutching her mouth and groaning in pain. She looked up at Nn, her eyes wide with shock and fear.


    Ca knew it was over, Nn was never going to spare Jet, not from the look he had on his face


    But she won at least, La would never get Nn and she made sure of that and turned out victorious. Nn would not also lose La but the unborn child she was carrying.


    A cold satisfaction settled over Ca as she realized that, even though she had been defeated, she had still won in some way. She may not have gotten what she wanted, but she had still caused Nn and La pain, and that was enough for her.


    Before she knew it, she saw ten wolves running out from different directions.


    The brown and ck ones were Darren and Xander. They must have felt the Alpha’s pain that’s why they came running thinking he was in danger.


    But no one knew that the pain he felt was from seeing his whole family in that state. He was in distress.


    “Kill them” were the only words from Nn.


    His eyes were bloodshot. He looked dangerous and bloodthirsty. Ca’s eyes traveled to his hands and she could see his ws already sticking out.


    He had gone feral.


    Ca’s heart skipped a beat as she realized the danger she was in. She had pushed Nn too far, and now he was out of control. She had never seen him like this before, and she knew that there was no reason with him in this state.


    She turned to run, but it was toote. The wolves were already upon her, their teeth bared and their eyes glowing with hunger.


    It did not take five minutes as different wolves started running towards Ca.


    Ca screamed, but her cries were drowned out by the snarling of the wolves.


    She tried to fight them off, but there were too many of them. And then, she felt a sharp pain as one


    Nn Controlled himself and retracted his ws. La was still alive, he could feel it. The mate bond was still there, though it was now lying on a thin thread as he could feel only a little of it.


    She needed to be taken to the hospital immediately


    Loud screams of agony were heard as Nn ran to La, who was lying in a pool of her own blood.


    He knelt down lifelessly in front of her and could feel his eyes watering at the sight in front of him.


    The brown and ck wolves arrived in front of him as she transformed into the human form of Xander and Darren.


    “F*ck..” Xander caused it. They were only in shorts.


    “She’s still alive..” Darren informed him of La’s pulse. She had long gone unconscious.


    Nn felt a surge of hope when Darren said that La was still alive. But his hope was quickly dashed as he saw the extent of the blood she wasted.


    “What do we do?” Darren asked, looking at Xander for guidance.


    “We have to get her to a hospital,” Xander said, his voice firm.


    “Take Noelle..” Nn uttered and Xander quickly squatted to remove Noelle from La’s arms.


    From the way she held her tight, one could tell how much effort she had put in in saving her daughter. It was as if she never wanted to let her go.


    Nn carried La in his arms and the next minute he was gone.

    “Alpha..” The doctor called, a little fear hinted in her voice as she approached Nn who was seated on the bench, with bloodied clothes.


    News had gone around the pack on how the Luna was shot while trying to save her daughter.


    “How’s La?” Nn asked in a very cold voice. No expression ghosted his face.


    “I can’t tell for… ” She immediately paused as Nn suddenly looked at her with a very cold re. If eyes could kill, she was sure she would already be dead.


    She knew better than anyone to ry her message to him cautiously.


    ” She’s in aa..” she announced and she saw Nn’s jaw stiffen.


    “The baby?” He asked with the same cold expression


    La did not think before acting, she should never have been in that situation. He could have been shot instead. A single bullet was not going to hurt him.


    Not even Noelle, she was an Alpha’s daughter but that never meant he was going to allow his daughter to get shot.


    ” Luckily the fetus was not dead before the Luna was here and we were able to perform a quick surgery and brought the baby out in time. Your son is perfectly healthy and is in an incubator.. ” the doctor announced. At least it was better to share one good news. They felt it was better to save one life than lose the two, and the baby’s life was saved.


    Nn didn’t even know how to react to the needs he literally felt nothing. He was supposed to rejoice with La, not without her. Life felt bitter and void without her in his life. She was his light and he loved her more than anything in this life, and he would never think of living without her.


    When he lost Vera, he remained strong as he needed to fulfill his duties to the people. But none of that mattered anymore. What mattered was La being with him.

    He did not care how the doctor did it, but she would make sure to save La as he couldn’t see himself exining to the kids how he lost their mother.
