As Nn rushed La to the hospital, he worried about what was wrong and whether she would be okay. He signed her in at the registration desk, providing all the necessary information.


    La was then immediately taken to a VIP room, where she could rest and receive the best possible care.


    Nn sat on a bench not too far from her room, he looked gloomy. He didn’t know what to think about, everything felt over for him.


    He was the one who put La in that condition, he went too hard on his mate and she ended up unconscious.


    He felt his heart pierce as his mate was in pain, his wolf kept tearing at him ming him for whatever had happened to La.


    “Where’s La?” Aurora asked as she ran towards Nn, Xander behind her.


    “Who are you?” Nn asked, anger evident in his face.


    “I’m Aurora, La’s best friend. And you better give me a good exnation on how La ended up in a hospital” Aurora demanded fearlessly. She was never scared of anyone.


    “Aurora calm down..” Xander tried pacifying as he held her shoulders. Nn was angry and he didn’t want him to take out his anger on Aurora.


    “Let go off me this instant Xander!!” She warned. Now that she had finally met Nn , she was going to give him a piece of her mind. Something La was never able to do.


    “You know what!!” She began pointing get index finger at Nn.


    “I know you’re the cause of all these Mr Nn. You’re the reason La is in there..” she used.


    “I don’t know what happened, but I’m sure you have a hand in it..” she stated. La was pregnant and thest time they both came to this very hospital, the doctor warned her to stay away from stress because her child was in danger.


    But she was always working and working and working. She never had a chance to rest. That must be why she fainted. Aurora thought.


    “You know that La is pregnant!!’ she announced in a stern voice. She didn’t care anymore. To hell with La damn reasons for keeping the truth from him.


    “Not only is she pregnant. She’s also pregnant for you…” she voiced out.

    “Don’t tell me to calm down. You also knew about her pregnancy didn’t you. So you can as well tell him that he’s the father!!” Aurora fired at Nn who sat unmoving. What the hell was she saying?


    How could La be pregnant? She never told him now and showed any signs. F*ck!! It was all messed up to Nn.


    “Xander tell him that La is really pregnant for him..” Aurora motioned at Xander.


    “Is this true?” Nn asked with gritted teeth and Xander shook his head slowly confirming it.


    “Yes Nn, it’s true. La’s carrying your pup!” Xander said and Nn felt his breath hitched.


    La’sst words before she lost consciousness reying in his head, she asked him to save her baby.


    Was that the baby she was talking about? He signed deeply. He had messed up big time. He was overshadowed by his anger that he didn’t notice the change in La.


    He suspected it at first but he just waved off that idea.


    “How’s that possible?” He found himself stuttering for the first time in his life. He had never been this confused.


    “Well she…”


    “I’ll do the honor of telling him that…” Aurora began, interrupting Xander.


    “I hope you remember the little fun you both had back in Seattle, huh? That’s how La got pregnant!” Aurora said and the whole ce suddenly went quiet.


    “Look, Nn. La had been through so much in life. My best friend has suffered a lot, right from the hands of her family and then you..”


    “She was always abused by her stepmom, then a lot of things happened, it was so intense that she left home. Do you know why she left home?” She paused as she tried fighting back her tears. It hurt her so much that after everything that happened to La, she only ended up at the hospital.


    “She left home because she wanted to protect the chili, your own child!!” Aurora ranted in anger.


    “When she came to New York, she never knew that you would be her new boss. But you hated her at first sight and warned her to stay away from you”


    “I don’t know but La was always scared of you. She was visibly shaken by you and up till this day, I know La is hiding something from me. I know it!” She insisted. La moving out had left her suspicious and she knew La was hiding something from her.


    Even the few times they met, she knew La was hiding something, from her contenance, she could tell.


    “Aurora please calm down..” Xander tried calming her down.


    “Don’t tell me to calm down!” She yelled.


    “This is all his fault. Thest time I followed La to the hospital, the doctor told her to stay away from stress because her baby was in danger. But you kept on bombarding her with a lot of work. I’m sure she fainted out of fatigue.” She pointed out.


    “Why didn’t she tell me about this?” Were the only words that came out from Nn’s mouth as he was still in a daze.


    “Because she was scared! Don’t you get it?? La fears you a lot!” Aurora stated.


    “Just make sure La is fine. If not I’ll kill you myself..” she threatened.


    A nurse approached them as they all focused their attention on her.


    “Mr Adlen, the doctor requests to see you..” she informed and Nn immediately left with her.


    “Just calm down, she’s going to be fine. I know La is very strong..” Xander assured as he helped a broken Aurora to sit.


    On Nn’s way to the doctor’s office, he received a call, which he declined a lot of times. When the caller persisted, he decided to pick the call.


    “Spill Ca!!” He ordered in a cold steel voice.
