Chapter 73 Dont Mess With Fiona (Part One)

Chapter 73 Don''t Mess With Fiona (Part One)

The weekend was sunny but the coldness of winter lingered in the air. Outside the airport, Fiona got off

a bus with a small suitcase. She wore a simple pair of jeans and a white sweater. Her hair was a little

disheveled yet still neat. She looked simple, as if she did not care about her appearance, yet attractive.

She stepped into the hall of the airport and immediately found herself a spot in the VIP lounge where

    she saw Charles.

The moment Charlesid his eyes on her, he understood what Ryan saw in her. She was a beautiful

youngdy; he tried his best to conceal his amazement towards her. Immediately, he was lured into her

simple charms. He feltfortable with her. Charles was used tovish and luxurious women. He

thought it might be nice to be with a girl of simplicity and modesty next time.

Fiona looked around the room in search of Sophia, but to no avail. Charles, as well as the people

behind him, gazed at Fiona meaningfully.

"When will Sophia arrive?" Charles asked. "It''s time to board."

"I don''t know." Fiona was starting to feel a little anxious. No one else in the room was familiar to her.

She only knew Charles. ''Sophia,e here quickly!'' she thought to herself.

As if on cue, her phone rang. It was Sophia.

"Hello?" Fiona greeted as she picked up the phone. "What time will you be here?"

"Fiona, I have bad news. I''m sorry, but I can''t go with you," said Sophia in between sobs.

    "What''s wrong?"

"My father won''t let me go anywhere. He''s beenining about my absence. He said I hadn''t

stayed home in a long time." Sophia sounded agitated. "He locked me in my room. And he also took all

    my ID card.

    What can I do?

Just leave me here and go by yourself. I''ll call Charlester and ask him to take care of you! Be careful

around him, by the way. He''s a yboy."

Fiona''s face darkened at Sophia''sst remark. She found her statement problematic. She already knew

that he was a yboy, but why did she ask him to take care of her? She was just asking Fiona to put

    herself in an embarrassing situation.

"Sophia, don''t worry about me. I''m fine." Fiona sighed. "There''s really no way for you toe here?"

Sophia cried, "I wish! I really want to go with you."

"Sophia! Come here and be a good girl! I made dinner! I cooked it all myself. Come and join me,

    please!"

A man''s voice yelled from the distance. Sophia pulled the phone away from herself and said, "Father,

let me go! It will only be a weekend and I promise to return here soon. My friends are waiting for me!"

"No, no, no. After this weekend, you''ll be going back to school. You can join the jewelry show next time.

    I''ll make sure you do."

Feeling both helpless and amused, Fiona shook her head before hanging up. She had no problem

going alone. She was used to being alone anyway.

"How is it going?" asked Charles.

"Sophie won''t make it today," Fiona replied calmly.

"Alright." Charles was not surprised at all. He nodded calmly and stood up. "Then let''s go."

He turned to look at Fiona. "Okay," Fiona said standing up.

They left the waiting hall and went through security check and boarding together.

The ne flew steadily along M City as it headed toward F City.

It was already evening when they arrived at the airport of F City. Darkness came early during winter.

The lights in the airport had been turned on.

"Mr. Wen!" The manager of the modelpany was already waiting for them outside the airport when

they arrived. As soon as Charles stepped out of the airport, the staff rushed up to him.

"Mr. Wen, we really appreciate that you came all the way here to personally discuss the spokesperson

matters. It''s a great honor to have you here! We prepared a wee dinner for you. We hope you can

    go with us."

Charles offered them a polite smile. "Of course I''ll be there. You''ve been very sincere and hospitable to

    us."

"Great! Let''s go then!" The agent gestured for him to go.

Charles nodded and said, "Thank you."

''Wee dinner?'' Fiona thought. She frowned at the sight of the modelpany''s staff walking ahead

of them. She didn''t want to go, but she didn''t get the chance to say so. "Mr. Wen!"

Fiona ran ahead and stood in front of Charles. "Can I not go to the dinner?"

The agent''s face suddenly darkened. "Miss, are you looking down on ourpany?"

Her heart jolted, and she shook her head hurriedly. "No, no. That''s not it! I''m just..."

"Okay." Charles interrupted. "Go to the hotel and get some rest."

"Thank you, Mr. Wen," Fiona said sincerely.

The modelpany members looked at her scornfully. She shrugged them off and ran away. Charles

stared at her as she shrank into the distance.

"I''m really sorry." Charles turned his head to apologize to the agent. "She''s a new intern in our

"That doesn''t matter!" The agent looked at Fiona and gave her a meaningful smile. "Mr. Wen, you are

    so considerate."

    Theyughed.

In the starlight, Fiona rushed to the hotel with her luggage. As soon as she entered the hotel, she

rushed into the bathroom. On the way to the hotel, she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She

    thought her period came early.

''Am I too tired that it came ahead of time?'' she wondered.

She dragged herself out of the bathroom. She felt so tired that she barely had any energy to wander

around. She immediately went to bed to get some sleep.

When she woke up, it was ten o''clock.

She ced her hand on her stomach for she heard it rumble.

Hungry and still tired, she got out of bed to look for food.

The city center was a ce of debauchery, but Fiona was not interested in it at all. She just wanted to

buy dinner. She spent a few minutes walking along the road until she finally found a small restaurant.

She rubbed her ears which were a little red from the cold before entering the restaurant. She ordered

    some noodles for take away.

Charles, on the other hand, got out of the wee banquet early. He drove to the hotel with a sexy

    woman beside him.

Near the hotel, in front of a traffic light intersection, the car stopped as the traffic light turned red.

Charles stared outside the window and was surprised to see Fiona. She was carrying a steaming bowl

    of noodles.
