The Strongest Transcendent In History Is The Strongest

    Chapter 3: The Answer

I respond with a thoughtful tone, "Well, I can tell you that the reason behind my success is quite straightforward; I approached it with complete honesty and sincerity. It''s not really all that complicated if you think about it."

Kurokami raises an eyebrow, her voice tinged with a hint of curiosity as she questions me, "So, you''ve done something similar before, huh?"

I nod slightly and reply in a calm manner, "Yes, that''s absolutely correct. I''ve had previous experiences that have prepared me for this particular situation."

A look of understanding washes over Kurokami’s face as she says, "Ah, I see now. That certainly explains a lot about how you managed this."

I reply with a casual confidence, "Yep, that''s pretty much it. So, is there anything else you’d like to discuss?"

Kurokami considers for a moment, then responds in a steady voice, "Not for now; I think I''m good."

I acknowledge her with a serene expression, saying, "Very well then."

Kurokami glances at me with an easygoing smile and adds, "Well, I''ll catch up with you later."

I return her smile and affirm calmly, "Sure thing. Talk to you later."

With that, Kurokami gives a slight nod and begins to walk away, her silhouette gradually fading as she moves down the path.

After finishing my lunch, I take my time savoring the last bite of my sandwich, enjoying the blend of flavors. As I swallow, I glance at the clock on the wall, realizing I’m running a bit late. With a sense of urgency, I get up from the table, gather my things, and start walking toward my classroom.

The corridor buzzes with the sound of students chatting and laughter, but my attention is drawn to my teacher, Zen''nō, ahead of me. He stands out in the crowd, easily recognizable by his striking appearance. As I approach, I see Kurokami waving enthusiastically, gesturing for me to join her at the table. Her friendly grin is infectious, and I can''t help but smile back.

Zen''nō is dressed immaculately in a fitted black instructor''s outfit that commands respect, with his long, vivid orange hair cascading down his shoulders like flames. His yellow eyes glimmer with a mix of authority and warmth as he addresses the class. "Hello everyone! My name is Zen''nō, and for the next three years, I will be your combat instructor, starting today!"

With a calm demeanor, Zen''nō continues, "Kiro, you may sit next to Ms. Kurokami." I nod in acknowledgment, replying, "Yes, sir," as I make my way to the empty seat beside her. Sitting down, I feel the excitement in the air; there’s a mix of anticipation and nervousness among my classmates.

"Now, as your combat instructor," Zen''nō begins, his voice resonating with confidence, "it''s my job to whip every last one of you into shape. So, follow me, everyone." At his command, we all rise from our desks, the sound of shifting chairs echoing in the classroom as we prepare to head out.

Zen''nō leads us briskly through the hallways and out to the training grounds, which loom ahead like a welcoming challenge. Once we arrive, he addresses us with a calm yet assertive tone. "Let''s start with laps. Everyone give me 500 laps around the training ground!" The collective groan from my classmates makes it clear we’re in for a serious workout, but I’m determined to push through.

Without further hesitation, I start running alongside my peers, the rhythm of our footsteps creating a symphony of determination as we circle the expansive training area. The hour unfolds like a relentless challenge, with the sun beating down on us. Sweat begins to trickle down my brow, and soon, everyone is panting heavily, collapsing onto the ground as we finally complete our grueling task.

Just as the fatigue sets in, the bell rings, echoing through the training grounds and signaling the end of our class. Zen''nō''s voice cuts through the tiredness, calm and composed. "That’s all for today, class. You’re dismissed." Relieved, we get up and make our way out, chatting quietly about how challenging yet invigorating the session was.

Eventually, I arrive home, the familiar sights and sounds wrapping around me like a warm blanket. As I reach my doorstep, I open the door, only to be met with a sudden soft thud as a pillow is thrust into my face. Confused, I stumble back slightly, trying to regain my composure.

Turning to my sister, I see her expression is far from pleased. Dressed in her cozy pink pajamas, her long black hair frames her face, contrasting sharply with her piercing purple eyes that glare at me. "Big bro, you said you''d be back by 6 o''clock! It''s 8. Care to explain?" she says, annoyance dripping from her voice.

This is Katsume, my little sister. Though she often tries to act tough and unbothered, I know her well enough to see that beneath that tough exterior is a heart that cares deeply, even if she rarely shows it.

“Well, uh—you see—” I stammer, feeling the heat rise in my cheeks, a mix of embarrassment and the light hint of fear at her wrath.

Without missing a beat, Katsume throws another pillow at my face, expressing her frustration in a way only siblings can understand. "Shush," she says firmly, her attitude masking the concern she feels.

"Dramatic sigh, oh no, the world is ending!" I exclaim, trying to deflect the tension with humor, but she’s having none of it.

With a swift move, she hurls yet another pillow toward me. "Shut up, jerk," I retort playfully, attempting to recover my dignity through banter.

    ....

Katsume, satisfied with her small conquest, says smugly, "Good. Now run along." I turn, walking quietly toward my room, thankful for the reprieve.

As I retreat to my sanctuary, Katsume lets out a sigh of relief behind me. “Good riddance,” she mutters, and I can’t help but smile at her over-the-top reaction.

Once I lay down on my bed, I let my thoughts wander. I realize I need to find a way to lighten her spirits; maybe some fun plans for the weekend or a small surprise would help bridge our sibling gap. I am determined to lift her mood and bring us closer together, like we always used to be.

...And that’s where my thoughts linger, as the day’s chaos slowly fades into the background.
