Chapter 262

    Chapter 262

The words dirty and cheap hit Cordelia like a sucker punch, leaving her weak-kneed. She was a

woman of virtue and grace; how did she end up like that, in his eyes?

"If I''m so dirty and cheap, go find your Deanna. She''s clean." Cordelia''s voice wavered as tears fell

onto her pillow. She remembered the scene at Pearl Palms, the kiss Deanna nted on Ronan''s face,

and his absence that night. She med herself for deciding to divorce him, and deciding to sever all

ties with him. Yet, now, she realized he was the one she cared about.

    She was indeed incredibly cheap.

Ronan continued to nuzzle and kiss Cordelia''s neck, and his grip on her wrists turned them blue. "I''ll

    leave tomorrow," Ronan stated.

    This is from N?velDrama.Org.

"I''d rather you leave now! Go to her bed," Cordelia growled in a voice hoarse with anger. Perhaps she

realized her feelings for him and hated herself for it. She wished to forget her past, so sheshed out at

    Ronan.

"I''ll go after I''m done fucking you!" Ronan didn''t stop his actions, his voice icy with rage.

Afterwards, he leaned back against the headboard, pulling out his phone to make a call. Cordelia cried

beside him, not paying attention to his conversation.

"Cordelia is leaving First Enterprises. I''ll cover any breach of contract penalties."

"Where is she going? Is that your concern? Remember how you begged me once. Be careful, you

might find yourself doing that again." With that, Ronan ended the call.

Cordelia turned towards him upon hearing he called Jamie. "What gives you the right to interfere with

    my work?"

Ronan looked at Cordelia, his gaze filled with mockery and calcted calm. He had regained his

Cordelia''s face, his thumb tracing her smooth skin. "Cordelia, you won''t escape me in this lifetime."

Cordelia stared at him, finally muttering, "You''re a psycho."

"You just got this?" He asked nonchntly.

It seemed like he had won a round by forcing her out of First Enterprises.

"When you first proposed to me, I thought you were rational and wise, but I never expected you to be

    this... beastly!"

Ronan leaned closer to Cordelia, whispering in her ear in a sultry tone, "That''s just my public face."

Exhausted, Cordelia fell asleep, unaware that Ronan had used her phone to call Jamie.

The next morning, she woke up at half-past nine, finding herself alone in the bed. She felt sore all over

and stayed in bed a little longer before getting up.

Ronan was seated on the couch, reading a book. He had his sses on again, presenting the image of

    a well-dressed psychopath.

"You didn''t go see Deanna?" Cordelia asked him.

He nced at his watch. "At three in the afternoon."

He had left some breakfast for her, even making an omelet. He was treating her like a child.

She sat at the dining table and began to eat. Ronan''s phone rang, and he answered it. "Yes, consider it

maternity leave. She''ll join in January after the baby." And with that, he hung up.

Cordelia felt a chill run down her spine. Was he talking about her? He had already told Jamie she was

leaving First Enterprises. "Who were you talking to?" Cordelia asked warily.

"The HR Director of Lumos Enterprises," Ronan replied.

    "Whose matter were you discussing?"

    "Yours."
