    Ronan''s car arrived at the hospital. When he entered Cordelia''s room, she was still asleep. In her


    advanced stage of pregnancy, she could only sleep on her side, her hand cradling her belly. Tears were

    He had been out of town on a business trip and had rushed to the hospital straight from the airport.

    "What would I do if something happened to you? And the babies? You shouldn''t work anymore. I''ll take


    care of you," Jamie said, looking fretful.


    "You don''t need to. The project I got will keep our firm busy for a year. I''ll be careful in the future,"


    Cordelia said,ughing. Shepletely ignored Ronan''s expression.


    Ronan sat silently, his face ashen. At least from Cordelia and Jamie''s conversation, Ronan had learned


    a few things. Firstly, the children were indeed Jamie''s. Secondly, Cordelia had gone to great lengths to


    get the project from him. They were all for Jamie.


    And she had used a very harsh term, "us." She and Jamie were an "us."


    "Cordelia, don''t live alone in a rented ce anymore. Move in with me, my parents and the housemaid


    will take care of you. You''re so far along in your pregnancy, and I''m really worried about you living


    alone." Jamie said.
