Chapter 594 They Gambled Their Money Away
Ca and Violet intended to y as partners, so even though there was only one vacant seat, it was
already enough for them.
After a long while of looking for an avable seat across the floors of the casino, Ca finally managed
to find one. However, just as she was about to take it, someone else upied the seat ahead of them.
"I''m sorry, this seat''s already taken," a woman told her.
Sizing her up from head to toe, Ca noticed that the woman was wearing a tight-fitting dress with a slit
on one side, which entuated her sophisticated grace as a charming woman. She proceeded to take
a seat after beaming Ca a smile.
"Damn it! She took our seat just like that even though we spent a lot of time trying to find one! Isn''t she
aware of the rule ''Firste, first served''?"
Violet was so upset as she red at the woman, visibly gritting her teeth in anger.
"It''s not that big of a deal. Don''t let it get to you. After all, this is a casino, and it''s just one seat at the
gambling table, so just try not to mind it. We''ll find another seat eventually,"
Ca tried to calm her down and was already about to leave in order to look for another seat. But
before she could go, the woman stopped them in their tracks.
"Wait just a second, you two gals. You don''t have to be in such a hurry to leave. If you could just wait
for me right here for 5 minutes, I can assure you that there''ll be at least 1 seat avable for you," she
remarked.
Hearing the woman say something like that, three men who were sitting away from each other around
the same table nced at her one by one.
Quite an attitude this woman had!
"It''s totally up to you if you''re gonna believe me or not. But I would rmend that you stay and watch
for a while. So, what do you say?"
The woman suggested, wearing an enticing smile on her face, as she lit up a cigarette and drew a
bunch of cards.
"Violet, how about we just wait here and see how the game is yed? It''s going to be of great help
knowing the rules, right?" Ca told Violet who was standing right beside her.
Without saying anything, Violet nodded her head in agreement. Given that there were no seats
avable, it wouldn''t hurt to stay for a bit and watch the others y.
Because there were a number of ways of ying poker, Ca wasn''t familiar with the rules that had to
be followed. For that reason, Violet acted like a teacher and whispered in her ears to exin how the
game was yed.
"The game they''re ying is called ''Bullfight'', a version of poker which is actually kind of easy to
understand. The yers are going to be dealt 5 cards. Each card has a value from 1 to 10, and the
face cards all stand for 10 as well. In the end, they will have topete with the banker. The winner is
decided based on who holds the cards that have thergest value," Violet exined.
She had stayed in JA City for a couple of years. Even though she rarely frequented the casinos in the
area, she had already yed this game before in private with her workmates.
Ca was all ears as Violet was talking. However, the woman''s cards were kept face down on the table
so there was no way for her to see her cards.
"Her style of ying is called ''covered cards'', which means she will be paid double if she wins. But, I
would like you to know that this way, she could lose twice the money as well. So, it''s high risk and high
return,"
Violet went on and added, ncing at the man next to her who had already revealed his hand.
"Are you getting it so far? Were you able to see what card he was holding?"
Violet whispered under her breath.
Looking at the man sitting close to her, Ca gestured toward Violet the number 8.
"Nice! You catch on real quick! Just keep that up and you''ll do just fine! Still, there are a lot more tricks
you need to know about, but you''ll figure it out as you y more," Violet eximed, praising her for
being a fast learner.
Soon, two of the yers threw their cards to fold, leaving one guy, who was broad in the beam, to keep
ying his hand.
When it reached this point, Ca watched as the woman flicked the ash off of her cigarette in a
leisurely manner, moving more of her chips toward the center of the table.
Looking down his nose at the woman, the plump guy quickly pushed his chips to the pot and went all-
in.
The most thrilling part of the game was about toe. The woman took a quick puff and revealed her
flop one at a time with her elegant hand decorated with sexy purple nail polish.
"Oh, my! What a surprise! That was a good start for me! Today must be my lucky day!"
The woman gave off a cunning smile as she turned to look at the plump guy, "It''s your turn to show
your hand now!"
Realizing that the total point of his cards was 8, while that of the woman was 9, the fat guy threw his
cards out of frustration and had no choice but to ept that he had a stroke of bad luck. He sprung up
from his seat immediately and took his leave.
After that, the woman waved at Ca to invite her to take the vacant seat.
"Come here, sweetie. You can take this seat. With this, I''ve fulfilled my promise," she said to her.
Politely smiling back at her, Ca went ahead and sat down and expressed her admiration, "It looks
like you''re quite the veteran, but we''re just a bunch of neers whoe here to have a bit of fun,
so, would you be so kind as to take it easy on us?"
"Sure! No worries! We can just start with small chips,"
the woman replied as a smile crept onto her face. The way she moved, even from her simple gestures
and expressions, exuded such charm. And despite appearing somewhat provocative, she didn''t seem
like the type who was being supported by a man.
She simply looked like a woman who had been blessed with that innate charm.
So, they all sat down together. From the second Ca took her seat, she was already feeling so fired
up and raring to see the hand that she would be dealt. That being said, before she could even touch
the cards, she heard her phone ring all of a sudden.
As it turned out, it was from Terence.
"Hello? What''s the matter? Is something wrong?"
She whispered under her breath, sounding a bit impatient. After waiting so long to get her turn, she was
so excited to see her cards right away.
"Just wanted to check how you''re doing. What happened? Are you in the casino right now?"
Terence asked her directly, not bothering to beat around the bush.
Left at such a loss for a moment there, Ca instinctively looked around the room and asked, "Where
are you? How did you know I''m at the casino?"
"I told you that I had to be aware of your whereabouts so I can ensure your safety. Which floor are you
in right now? It just so happened that I''m about to head there with a client, so I''m about to see you in a
bit,"
Terence answered. It should go without saying that he never really cared about the money whatsoever.
He was just so worried about her safety, staying in that kind of ce and all.
"I''m in the 6th floor of the casino. If you want, you cane here to find me yourself. If that''s all, then
I''m going to hang up now. I don''t want to keep the people here waiting for me,"
Ca told him, hanging up the phone the second she was done talking.
Violet, who was sitting right beside her, kept prodding her, "Come on, let me see your cards. This is
going to be our first time ying, so we shouldn''t just keep our cards face down."
"Rx, I''ll take a look at it right now,"
Ca said as she took a nce at her cards. As she examined the hand she had just been dealt, she
looked at Violet with confusion written all over her face.
"Violet, it seems that I''m having a bit of bad luck! Would you look at the cards in my hand?"
Upon saying that, she quickly showed the cards to Violet,pletely clueless as to what type of hand it
was that she had. The individual cards were quite low, so the total points wouldn''t go over 10.
What did that mean? Was it a winning hand or not? Ca had no idea.
After checking her cards, Violet tried her best to hold back herughter, otherwise, the other yers
might have caught on. Then, she whispered close into her ears, "You''re a funny one, aren''t you? That''s
actually a lucky hand. Cards like these are called ''Five Calves'' which have the secondrgest points.
That means you can just sit back, rx, and wait for the money toe to you."
As she stared at the cards one more time, Ca still couldn''t understand how such a low number could
getrge points at all.
Completely clueless as to how great of a hand she had, she threw her cards away and shrugged her
shoulders.
They weren''t the highest points, so Ca became the banker for this round.
As for the other two yers, knowing that they didn''t have hands that would be a match for hers, they
followed suit and threw their cards as well.
As it turned out, Ca''s points were indeed the highest out of everyone.
It seemed that she got lucky and ended up winning 5, 000 chips.
"Well, what do you know, you''re actually quite lucky, sweetie. What do you say we turn it up a notch
and add more chips? 1, 000 chips every round. How does that sound?"
The woman took a puff and suggested. It was rather apparent that betting 500 chips at a time was a bit
too little for her.
So, Ca decided to humor her and they started adding 1, 000 chips.
It was at that point that Ca came to realize how frustrating it could be, as she lost a couple of times.
The chips she had won from the first round disappeared in just a blink of an eye. She decided to add
another 1, 200 chips, only to lose all of it as well.
Maybe she just had beginner''s luck, so it was too soon to celebrate.
"Ca, we should stop while we haven''t lost that much money yet,"
Violet pressed her hand against Ca''s back and gave her a piece of advice.
Be that as it might, Ca wasn''t sure whether she should stop already or just continue ying. She
was thinking that it just wouldn''t feel right to leave the table so soon.

There was a deafening silence around the room. In fact, it was so silent that one could probably hear
the sound of a needle dropping.
When she turned to check what was going on, Ca saw 2 to 3 men walking toward her. And among
them, there was a tall and handsome man walking ahead of the others.
