Chapter 341 Nichs In Hospital
"Please, leave,"
Terence responded faintly, looking at the unfinished document on the table without raising his head.
"Okay, I''m leaving. I mean it. I''m really leaving now,"
Ca said, frowning as she noticed that he wasn''t about to raise his head and look at her.
"Okay," Terence said.
"Well, goodbye then!" Ca said angrily.
Terence didn''t say anything.
Ca looked at him as she bit her lower lip. She felt a despondency that she couldn''t put in words. It
brought home the thought that perhaps all her efforts had been in vain.
She had tired herself out trying to satisfy him as he sat and enjoyed her efforts. But now he was acting
like nothing had happened and barely looked at her as she began to leave.
She wasn''t up to take any nonsense from him and really walked towards the door, determined to leave.
But the moment she reached the door, something important sprang to her mind.
So she turned around.
"Umm... Do you have any cash on you?"
Ca asked. And then she saw his wallet on the table. She bent to take it but Terence''s hand shot out
to stop her.
He opened his wallet, took out all the cash in it, and put the cash on the table.
"I''ll transfer the money to you when I get back," Ca said. She took the cash and shoved it into her
pocket without saying thanks.
She didn''t take much cash though. And she also didn''t want to power her mobile phone back on
because she knew that Noah and Andrea would call her over and over again. She really didn''t want to
talk to them right now.
Therefore, she thought it was convenient to have some cash on her.
She still needed to eat and then take a taxi, so she needed money a little desperately.
And this time, Ca really did exit Terence''s office.
Once she left, Terence took a deep breath and rubbed his temples as he leaned back on his chair. He
stared for a long time at the door through which Ca had left.
His gaze shifted to the wallet lying beside him. He opened it and sifted through, and exhaled as he saw
Ca''s picture was still well stuffed into it.
He took the picture out of his wallet, opened the drawer and put the picture in there.
"Mr. Terence, I''ve postponed the meeting for an hour. But do you still want to have the meeting today? I
can cancel it if you like," Rainer asked.
Rainer finally dared toe in a while after Ca left.
"Oh, yes. I''ll attend the meeting, of course. And arrange a car for me after the meeting. I''m going to visit
Grandpa,"
Terence said as he checked the time on his watch. ''Good, it''s not toote, '' he thought.
Once Ca exited the AJ Building, she went to buy some tonics that were suitable for heart patients
and then headed for the hospital.
She had heard that Nichs had been hospitalized since long. And he would need to be hospitalized
every time the weather got cold because he had a heart problem.
Ca knew the ward that Nichs was in. When she approached the ward, she saw Race walking out
and hurried towards him.
"Race, is Grandpa Nichs in there?" she asked.
"Miss Ca? What brings you here?" Race was surprised to see her.
But he recovered quickly, smiled and said, "Yes, he is in there. He has just taken his medication and
he''s resting now."
"Could I go in and see him?" Ca asked tentatively.
"Of course. Let me open the door for you," Race said. Then, he opened the ward door for Ca.
Ca went in, only to see Nichs sitting up on the hospital bed and reading, his presbyopia sses
perched on his nose.
"Grandpa?" she called gently, smiling as she saw Nichs in his blue hospital clothes.
Hearing Ca''s familiar voice, Nichs adjusted his sses and looked up towards the door. When he
saw Ca framed in the doorway, his face bloomed into a kind smile.
He greeted happily, "Ca, why are you here?"

Ca dumped her belongings on the bedside table, walked up to Nichs and hugged him. "Why are
you hospitalized yet again? You''re not taking care of your health again?" she asked a little sternly.
Nichs patted her on the shoulder, but shook his head. He smiled as he said, "I''m old. Even if I pay
attention to my health, illness is inevitable."
Ca could feel her eyes pricking with tears and she swiped at them, trying to wipe them away before
she released Nichs. "No, you''re not old!" she retorted.
"You are the most energetic and toughest grandpa I''ve ever seen. You''ll never grow old!"
"Ha-ha! Ca, of course I don''t want to die at all. I still want to see my great-grandson that you and
Terence will create for me," Nichs said mischievously. Upon seeing the expression on her face, he
Ca recovered from the shock and looked down, concentrating on the sheets of the hospital bed.
"I''m sorry, Grandpa," she said quietly. "I''m sorry..."
Nichs patted her on the hand again, sighed before he said, "You don''t need to say sorry, Ca. I
understand. Circumstances forced you to get engaged to Noah. You had no other choice.
And I''ve gone through many things that you can''t imagine. So I understand your situation very well. I
don''t and won''t me you."
Nichs was so kind to her that she couldn''t hold back her tears.
"Ca, you are now the only daughter of the Hua family, which gives you a bigger advantage than
before. But there are more crises than you can imagine. Sometimes there will be things that will be
inevitable."
He paused for a while before continuing, "These advantages and crises make it impossible for you to
make a quick decision because your real identity is involved, along with a lot of things involving the
fall in love with someone. If you two don''t work out, then I''m afraid he''ll never again fall in love with
another woman for the rest of his life."
Nichs looked at her kindly as he said this.
"Ca, don''t be confused by things. As long as you keep working hard, you will find one day that the
sun actually shines in front of you when you look up," he said reassuringly.
As his encouragement settled into her, Ca wiped away her tears and said, "Grandpa, I will work
hard. I''ll try my best to get rid of Noah and marry Terence as soon as possible! I promise!"
She sniffed, looking up at him and smiling through her tears.
She continued, "You know what, Grandpa Nichs? My former boss took me to a fortune teller once.
The fortune teller said that I would get married and have children at the age of twenty-four. And that
fortune teller''s predictions are said to be very urate.
I will be twenty-four soon. Maybe next year, you will really be able to see your great-grandson. So you
must take care of your health, okay?"
Nichsughed. He never believed in superstition but he didn''t refute her at this moment.
He chose to humor her instead. "Okay, I''ll wait for the birth of my great-grandson. Now, stop crying.
Every time I''m in hospital, there will always be someone crying in front of me. But I''m always
discharged safely, am I not?
Ca, the doctor has said that as long as I keep myself warm, I''ll be around for three to five years. So
don''t worry about me. Just follow your own ns!"
Ca smiled and nodded. "Then tell me, Grandpa Nichs, do you like boys or girls?"
Nichs blurted out, "Of course girls! There are three sons in the Ans and they''ve been mischievous all
their lives. I''m tired of that!
Every time I see anybody else''s beautiful little granddaughters holding on to their grandpa''s neck, I
be really jealous!"
Nichs said, a smile full of longing taking its ce on his face.
"Okay! I promise I''ll give you a great-granddaughter no matter what," Ca said earnestly.
"Okay. But Ca, I''ll like my great-grandchild irrespective of whether it''s a boy or a girl, as long as it''s
created by you and Terence," Nichs said with augh.
On the other side, Terence had finished the meeting and was on the way to the hospital.
Not long after, he arrived at the destination.
"Mr. Terence, everything is ready. Shall we go in?" Rainer asked politely as he took everything they
needed.
Terence nodded grimly.
They then headed for the inpatient department.
