    Chapter 28 Her sweet revenge


    Danielle and Lauren came out of the car giggling as they walked into the shopping mall.


    "Oh! So you met the famous kpop singers Bts.." Elleughed.


    "Yeah, they were really cool in person. Now I understand why most of ourdies are fangirling over


    them. They are handsome too.." Lauren smiled.


    As they walked in, people started greeting them. LA VITA was one of the best and most expensive


    shopping malls in the city. Most celebrities and prominent personalities visit the mall asionally.

    pulled out of the hug.


    "We should go do some shopping immediately.." Elle said and they both giggled.


    Meanwhile Lauren smirked.


    "My son really hit the jackpot with her. We will be more wealthy and affluent when she bes


    our family. I can''t wait for that day.." Lauren thought and faked another smile at Elle who returned it.


    But both women knew what their sweet smile entails,it was not an innocent smile.

    Night.


    Elle walked into the house with shopping bags. Damien was waiting for her in the living room.


    "You came much morete than I expected.."


    "Well, I had to y along with my fake mum inw and she''s falling for it.." Elle said and then dropped


    the bags.


    She then removed her heels.


    "I got the CCTV cameras you asked for.." Damien said and passed her a bag.


    Elle chuckled and then opened the bag.


    She brought out the button sized CCTV cameras and smiled again.


    "Just the perfect one I need.."


    "They won''t suspect a thing at all with this.." Elle smiled and continued staring at the camera.

    And just like that, the night went and morning came.


    As usual, Elle came out of her room dressed for work already. She was going to head to the office first


    and then go site seeing with Jason.


    Damien was not at home. He only told her he had to be somewhere but she doesn''t even know where.


    Elle walked out of her mansion and then to her car, she opened it and drove away.

    Tyson sat in the office, running his hand into his hair. He was not in the mood at all. Yesterday he


    awaited Elle''s call but none came in. He misses her so badly and now she will be going sight seeing


    with his brother today.


    A knock was heard on the door and he sighed.

    "Come in.." He replied and the door opened followed by the sounds of heels clicking.


    "Hi, brother inw.." A feminine voice said and Tyson looked up to see Giselle smiling innocently and

    "Giselle.." He called and then stood up.

    James sat in the living room with a ss of wine in his right hand. He was smiling as he watched the


    news. His birthday was all over the news.


    "Happy birthday hunny.." Lauren''s voice came and Jamesughed. Lauren smiled and walked to him


    with a ss of wine in her right hand also.


    "Hon, you and the kids have wished today already.. " He said and Lauren smiled.


    "So?" She said and then dropped the wine on the table. Then she sat close to her husband.


    "I''m just happy that I am able to celebrate your every birthday. You know I missed some years also.."


    She pouted. James smiled and also dropped his ss of wine. Then he hugged her.


    "I''m happy you''re with me too.." He said with a smile.


    "You know it took us years and a lot of hardwork to be together. We had to get rid of the stumbling


    block between us and she.."


    "Don''t talk about her.." James cut her off.


    "That reminds me, has Jason called you yet to wish you?" Lauren asks and James sighs and shakes


    his head.


    "You know how your son is. He won''t call. You also know fully well how he feels about it. It was so close


    to his mu…"


    "I said I don''t want to hear anything about her.." James said again and Lauren nodded.

    She took the ss of wine.


    "Cheers to 55th age of living in this earth.." She smiled and Jamesughed. He took his sses and


    just as they were about to clock their sses together.


    A maid walked in.


    "I''m sorry governor for disturbing but you have a parcel.." She said and then have them a wrapped box.


    "Okay.." Lauren said and ced the box on the table.


    "Hope you had it scanned thoroughly?" James asked.


    "Yes sir, the security team did so and they said it''s safe.." She replied.


    "It''s fine, you can leave..'' Lauren added and the maid left.


    "Maybe a citizen left a gift for you?" Lauren says with a smile and she starts unwrapping the gift.


    "The people love you too much.." Lauren chuckled while James just smiled.


    She opened the box and then her eyes widened when she saw it.


    She screamed and then ran off. Even James was not left out, he stood up hurriedly and scurried off his


    life.


    "My gosh, what''s it?" He asked his trembling wife.


    "It''s a snake.." She yelled and James'' eyes widened. He took slow steps closer to really confirm it.


    "Hun,e back. What are you doing?" She asked.


    "Security! Security!" Lauren yelled. Soon they came rushing in.


    James''s eyes widened when he saw the snake but the most surprising part of it was that the snake


    was not moved. It was glued on the spot.


    He moved closer to it and then he saw it clearly. It was not a real snake! But a toy snake.


    James sighed out in relief and then grabbed the toy snake before throwing it down.


    "Governor, are you okay?" The head guard asked but James signalled him to stop talking.


    Then he noticed a picture. It wad a picture of Lauren and him that had been marked red. And then a


    card.


    He picked the card and read.


    "Happy birthday governor, hope you liked my gift.."


    James clenched his fists angrily.


    "Who sent this?!" He yelled.

    Elle came down from the car and lolled around. She had gotten to the ce already. Her phone rang,


    she answered the call immediately.


    "It''s done.." Damien said and she chuckled.


    "That''s it. They are yet to see.."


    "Hey!" A masculine''s voice boomed behind her. She turned and flinched in fear and as she did, her leg


    slipped, she lost her bnce, she closed her eyes in fear anticipating what came next and just as she


    was about tond on the ground, a hand grabbed her waist protectively.


    She grabbed unto his shirt as he pulled her up, their faces so close. Just then she opened her eyes


    and her breath hitched when she saw him.
