Pov: Serne


    I’ve just met a god.


    He is… odd.


    Nice, but odd, and also powerful. I don’t know what to make of him.


    After looking at him more, i noticed his eyes. His pupils are thin lines, like something you might see in a horror movie. His fur makes him look like a demon, orange and red like fire, with charred paws.


    So strange.


    But it his appearance is that of a fox, I discovered this after looking at some on my holotablet.


    Although, his outfit is strange.


    It’s almost modern, with the sleek design, but it’s incomplete.


    He has no technology, whatsoever.


    Maybe he has no need? He can crush a planet.


    When I asked him if he was a god, he just nodded. Nothing happened, no divine music or beautiful display to show his power, only a nod.


    The question is, should I run?

    He just stares, he guessed, so why is he so surprised?


    He probably was just guessing, but my confirmation just stopped him.


    I try to snap my fingers, but fail due to the fur, so I use my outside view to make a snapping sound while I snap to get his attention.


    He stares intently into my eyes, then my paws, my clothes. He’s sizing me up!


    I snap again.


    Snap snap snap.


    He asks, “So, why are you here?”


    I ignore his question by asking, “Do you want to fly?”


    He looks at me and says, “Maybe, do I have a choice?”


    He did before he asked that, so his doubt in me takes away his choice.


    “Nope”


    He answers, “Okay”


    We wait in awkward silence, this time me sizing him up.


    Oh right, flight.


    Hmmm… how do I make him fly without dying.


    I project flight onto him, then invulnerable, and finally comfortable. His body relaxes, and he gets a look of greater clarity in his eyes.


    I tell him, “Now you can fly!”


    And then he starts flying, straight into the ceiling, but very very slowly.


    Maybe I should make him have fast flight instead of just flight? I do so, and now he goes at a reasonable pace.


    What to do now.


    Scare people, but first I need to get his opinion on how.


    “Hey, Serne, how would I go about looking terrifying?”


    He questions, “In what way?”


    I respond while stretching out my legs and getting up, “like a terrifying monster in the dark.”

    I’ve spent the last few minutes becoming terrifying, I can lurk in the shadows, but my eyes glow orange in the dark.


    My teeth are so completely white, they almost shine.


    My clothes, some plain clothes that are similar to something Serne showed me on the internet.


    They have the internet! Or at least something very similar.


    I suppose it would be an internet?


    I gave Serne some wings, and then something that covers his face and entire identity.


    Time to go scare some people while Serne flies in the sky.


    And so, we leave to find someone to scare.
