Chapter 352 You Two Are Shameless


    After squinting against the sunlight, he saw that it was his sweet grandson Zed. Although delighted,


    Benjamin didn''t let it show on his face and scolded Zed,"Howe you are here? Why aren''t you


    working in office?"


    Just as he finished his sentence, Benjamin looked at Jean from the corner of his eyes to see her


    reaction.


    ''Is she afraid that she will be bullied by us? Is that why she has asked Zed toe and help?


    But why did she meet us first? Was it to let me change my impression of her?''


    Benjamin thought in his heart. ''If she is a scheming person, there is no way I would ever ept her as


    my granddaughter-inw.''


    Turning towards her, Benjamin tried to read her face with a piercing gaze.


    Benjamin''s dissatisfaction at Zed''s appearance was obvious to Jean. She felt his dislike for her grow


    and shuddered in her heart. Nevertheless, she put on a brave smile and looked in Zed''s direction who


    closed his car door.


    "Grandpa, look at the time!" Feigning hurt by Benjamin''s words, Zed walked up to his grandpa and


    miss your precious Zed having not seen him for almost half a day? I thought of you, so I came to pick


    you up for lunch!"


    Zed''s affection soon melted Benjamin''s heart. He realized he had unnecessarily thought wrongly of


    Jean.


    If Jean was conniving, she wouldn''t embarrass herself like this.


    His face rxed and the stern look in his eyes softened after Benjamin was cajoled by his grandson.


    Calm and collected, he nced in Jean''s direction and then with a hint of annoyance in his voice, said


    to Zed,"Who knows for whom you havee, me or or your wife?"


    "Of course I am here to pick you up!" Zed replied without any hesitation. "In my heart, you are the most


    important ..."


    "Don''t be honey-tongued in front of me! You brat!" Before Zed could finish his words, Benjamin


    interrupted him with a taunt. Though he still looked cross, there was a smile ying on his lips.


    Noticing Benjamin''s pleasure, Jean felt relieved. As both the grandson and grandfather engaged in the


    yful banter, she too couldn''t help but smile. Looking at Zed''s brown eyes look at her with love, she


    thanked him from the bottom of her heart silently.


    What Zed had said was right!


    The elders were quite like children. They needed to be amused and pleased, no matter how imposing


    they were back in their heyday.


    As age approaches a person, what they long for the most is nothing but affection from their family.


    Dan and Jesse were surprised to see Zed walk in.


    More so Jesse, who wore a weird expression on her face as she gawked at Jean. Both of them couldn''t


    understand why Zed was here.


    Jean took no notice of Jesse''s confusion. Instead she brushed her hair and refused to see in Jesse''s


    direction. It was almost as if she were not in the room. She lithely joined Zed in supporting grandpa to


    get in the car.


    Jesse was nothing in Jean''s thoughts anymore. A serene-looking Jean didn''t care about what Jesse


    thought or wanted.


    After she supported Dan to get in the car, a confident Jean strode ahead to directly sit on the


    passenger seat.


    Jesse''s jaws tightened at what Jean just did. She gritted her teeth as everyone else sat inside and she


    was left alone on the curb. She had no choice but to follow Zed''s car on her own.


    "Grandpa, what do you want to eat?" Zed asked as he drove.


    "I''ve reserved a table at the Safwan Restaurant. Let''s go straight there." Pat came Jean''s reply to Zed.


    Smiling at him, she said,"I know the vegetable dishes both the grandpas like and Safwan Restaurant is


    famous for that in H City. We''ll have a delicious lunch there for sure."


    Zed too, looked in her direction catching her poise in front of both the grandpas. He was pleasantly


    surprised. He mumbled in a low whisper,"I didn''t expect you to be so thoughtful!"


    If he had known that Jean could cope with all of this, he wouldn''t have rushed over in a hurry.


    Knowing the meaning behind Zed''s words, Jean held his hand and in a soft voice, said,"I told you not to

    big and puppy-like to convince Jean of his innocence.


    "If you two have pillow talks, I suggest you find another ce, not in front of us elders! You two are


    shameless!" Dan quipped when he saw Zed and Jean intimately whispering to each other and smiling


    yfully.


    "I agree with you," echoed Benjamin, after he too saw what was going on right in front of him.


    Both the grandpas''s scolding made Jean blush. Feeling awkward, she tried to pull her hand away from


    Zed''s.


    Looking deep into her eyes, Zed sped on to her hand stronger. He lightly lifted their joined hands


    and showed it to both the elders sitting behind. With a mischievious smile on his face, he said,"Then


    we will show it off more in front of you. Or let me hold her hand properly. What''s the use of all of this


    scolding? Otherwise, It''s not worthwhile!"


    "You are unabashed, Zed!" Benjamin couldn''t help but burst intoughter after hearing what Zed had


    said. "Can''t you restrain yourself in front of your Grandpa Dan? Don''t you think your behavior is


    unseemly?"


    "I don''t care about it in front of Grandpa Dan. He has seen me grow up and treats me like his own


    grandson. Grandpa Dan, am I right? You won''t mind it, will you?"


    Zed teased Dan.


    "You are right! Young people need to be like this. So, Benjamin, don''t scold them any more!" Dan


    elbowed Benjamin yfully.


    Helpless, Benjamin''s stern face too broke into an affectionate smile. He finallypromised and


    uttered,"Fine! Then you two can continue!"


    His words amused them so much that everyone in the car broke into peals ofughter.


    Even a hotfaced Jean smiled from cheek to cheek.


    Meanwhile, a seething Jesse narrowed her eyes as she felt foolish for driving behind Zed''s car with no

    Green with envy, her nostrils red as she caught sight of Jean lightly touching Zed''s shoulder. She

    Her whole body was tense and her breath was shallow as she heard waves ofughter reaching her

    ''Jean, how barefaced you are!


    Why did youe when I had taken Grandpa Benjamin out for fun?


    You have stolen my thunder! What a shameless bitch you are!'' she hissed at Jean in her heart.


    Turning around a corner, both the cars stopped one by one. Turning the ignition key off, Jesse changed


    her expression and got off the car. As Zed came in front of her, she tried to look beautiful and appealing


    with a smile on her face. In fact, she cheerfully greeted him,"Hi, Zed!"


    "Jesse!" Zed replied instantly. "Thank you so much for apanying the two grandpas for the whole

    "The pleasure is all mine! Your grandpa is also my grandpa," A broad smile beamed at Jesse''s face.


    She then said,"Don''t just stand here, let''s hurry up to get in the restaurant!"


    As long as Zed knew that she was doing all of this for him, she could bear any kind of wrongdoing or ill-


    treatment.


    "Okay, let''s go! Jean is all alone with both the grandpas. " Zed creased his brows into a frown as he


    quickened his steps towards the entrance.


    Struck by a thought, Jesse stopped right in her tracks. Zed marched in haste and seemed to have not


    noticed that Jesse was no longer walking with him. She was stunned by Zed''s love for Jean. As he


    grew smaller and smaller walking further from her, a furious expression came over her face.


    ''Zed, why do you care about her so much?


    How could you worry about her in just a second of separation from her?


    You said that you hadn''t changed, but look at yourself! I can''t see any room in your life for me!


    You really make me disappointed and desperate!''


    Zed walked into the private room. Hearing the door open, Jean looked up.


    Both of them exchanged loving looks and Zed seated himself. Jean poured water carefully for the


    grandpas and took her seat right next to her husband.
