Chapter 637 A Muddled Mess
Despite Alex''s intense worry, he refrained from expressing impatience. Instead, he remained
alongside Mia as they both held their breath and fixed their gaze on the phone ced in the center.
Meanwhile, Rupert''s drunken stupor suddenly dissipated while his eyes glimmered with a chilling
yet intense hatred.
Kingsley Nicholson! He is the one responsible for how miserable I am right now!
The name Reene also rang a familiar bell to him. After all, he had been with Victoria since junior
high school and had heard her mention Reene''s name countless times.
If Rupert took a moment to ponder, he could infer the true connection between Kingsley and Victoria
based on Kingsley''s association with Reene. Unfortunately, at this moment, his mind was clouded
with alcohol and hatred that it had no room for such contemtion.
He sat up, rummaged through the ashtray filled with cigarette butts, and found a partially burnt
cigarette. Then, he ignited it with a lighter before cing it in his mouth.
Puff– He exhaled a cloud of acrid smoke and directed his words to the phone. "How do you propose
to deal with Reene?"
Alex''s spirits soared upon hearing a reply on the other end of the line, prompting him to hastily
respond, "I want to capture her and then torture her thoroughly! I want her to endure the
excruciating agony! And eventually, I want her dead by utilizing the most brutal methods avable!
Only then can we inflict extreme suffering upon Kingsley! I want to see him go crazy! I want to drive
him mad! I want him to live in agony for the rest of his life!"
Rupert''s face twisted into a malicious smile upon hearing those words. "Excellent, I was thinking the
same thing! Consider this favor done."
The moment Alex and Mia heard Rupert''s agreement; their faces lit up with joy.
"Mr. Shapiro, we''re relying on you for this matter!" eximed Alex enthusiastically. "Since I can''t
move freely, I''ll have my sister discuss the details with you. When will you be avable?"
Rupert pondered for a moment and responded, "Let''s do it within the next two days. I''ll give you a
call once I have everything ready to go."
Since he no longer held the position of second-inmand in the Jeanne Gang, Rupertcked
subordinates to carry out his orders. If he intended to abduct the chairman of a department store, he
needed to find capable individuals for the task.

Alex nodded profusely and said eagerly, "Yes, yes. I''ll be eagerly awaiting your call. Thank you, Mr.
Shapiro, for your help!"
After he ended the call, he rubbed his hands together. "Mia, we can finally take revenge this time!"
A cruel expression appeared on Mia''s weary face. "Absolutely. Reene and Kingsley have brought us
to such lows. I will make them pay with their own blood!"
While the Wynn siblings savored the satisfaction of their impending revenge, Rupert sat on the
worn-out couch and began making several phone calls. Before his expulsion from the Jeanne
Gang, he had some standing in the underworld, so he had influential figures'' contact information
stored in his phone.
Initially, due to his pride, he hadn''t considered seeking help from these individuals. But now, he
couldn''t afford to be selective any longer in order to deal with Kingsley!
While he flipped through his contacts, he muttered to himself, "Mr. Meyers, Mr. Graham, Mr.
Hensley..." And when he saw the name, Josiah Morton, his eyes lit up in excitement!
He and Josiah had somemon ground and had some previous acquaintances! If he asked
Josiah to lend him a few people, he believed the other man wouldn''t refuse!
Beep. Beep. Beep.
However, all three consecutive calls he made went unanswered, causing Rupert to furrow his brow
tightly. "Damn it, nobody answers my f*cking calls anymore!"
He was expelled by Victoria halfway through the underground meeting. Since then, he had been
living aimlessly in this small, rented house. So, he had no idea that there was a significant change
in the underworld after the meeting, with half of the prominent figures in the Sris Province getting
wiped away.
After he dialed Josiah''s number five or six times, it remained unanswered. As a result, Rupert could
only resort to calling other prominent figures. s, every person''s phone either went unanswered or
was switched off!
