Chapter 854 Julien Putting on a Show
Sydney covered her face which was burning and squirmed.
The smile in Julien''s eyes deepened when he saw it.
Although he couldn''t read her mind, he could tell that she was satisfied with his figure.
It made him feel proud of himself.
"Alright, sit for a while. I''m going to the kitchen." He raised his head and tapped her head.
Sydney snapped out, cleared her throat, and looked at him. "Do you know how to fry pancakes?"
She bought them a long time ago.
Sometimes when she came back, she was too exhausted to cook fancy dinners. She just had
pancakes on the sofa while watching TV. It was rxing.
Since he got back together with her and moved in, their dinner had been either cooked by him or
sent from the hotel. She hadn''t cooked for a long time.
The pancakes had been in the fridge for some time.
She doubted that he knew how to fry them.
Although he had been in a cooking ss, the pancakes were a kind of snack rather than the main
dish, so he probably hadn''t learned it.
She got up and added, "If you don''t, you can just sit there. I''ll do it myself."
"It''s alright." Julien put his hands on her shoulders, sat her back down on the sofa, and gently
smiled at her, "I''ll follow the steps of the tutorials. Trust me, I can do it."
He was a fast learner regardless of the subject.
He was confident in himself.
Julien looked at his serious face, smiled, and rxed. "Okay, I totally believe you."
He hummed and nodded. "I''ll be done soon."
"Good." Sydney looked up and smiled at him.
Julien grabbed the apron from the hanger and headed to the kitchen.
From the sofa, Sydney smiled at him and turned back to look at the TV.
The screen was ck. The TV was not on.
The screen reflected her face. She was smiling, but her brows were furrowing.
She was thinking about her dress.
Whether the dress was broken or not didn''t bother Julien because he was rich.
It was a different story for her. She was poor.
The dress was bought with almost all her savings. It would be a heavy blow to her if the dress was
broken.
Sydney rubbed her brows and sighed in agitation.
Then her eyes fell on an exquisite box on the coffee table.
She was surprised and wondered when it was ced there.
Then she realized that it was probably brought over by Julien.
She remembered what Julien had said over the phone in the afternoon. He went back to his house
probably to get this thing.
Although she was curious about what was inside, she didn''t open the box.
Although they were living together, she respected his privacy. Without his permission, she would not
check on his things, his phone included.
That was her principle.
She trusted him and believed that he would not betray her.
In this world, nothing can be hidden forever. Time will reveal the truth.
So, she didn''t need to verify his sincerity by snooping on his private possessions.
Julien would not do this kind of thing either.
That was because he also believed in and respected her. They were mature and confident about
their rtionship.
At that, she looked away from the box, picked up the ss, and had a sip of water.
Soon, an aroma wafted over from the kitchen.
Sydney recognized it as the aroma of the pancake. It smelled as good as those cooked by her.
It was not bad for a beginner. Julien fried the pancake as well as she did.
His talent was impressive.
Sydney put down the ss, got up, and went to the kitchen.
When she arrived at the door to the kitchen, the aroma got stronger. She also smelled eggs.
She went in and stopped behind the man who got his hands full in front of the stove.
He was tall, and his shoulders were broad.
His shadow enveloped her.
His presence gave her a sense of security.
Sydney tilted, poked her head out from behind Julien, and peeked into the pan. The man was
adding eggs to the pancake. Her eyes glittered. "It smells so good."
Julien was aware that she came in although her footsteps were light.
Not surprised to hear her voice, he cooked with ease and curled his lips. "As I said, I won''t let you
down."
Sydney gaped at him. "You know I''m here?"
Julien turned slightly sideways and smiled at her. The answer was self-evident.
He knew.
Sydney blinked. "How did you know? I sneaked in to surprise you but failed."
She tried to surprise him for fun, but he was unperturbed.
Julien saw her puckered lips, suddenly turned off the gas, and made a shocked face. "Gee, when
did youe in?"
Probably because he had never put on a show before, his performance was terrible.

Besides, he rarely had such rich expressions. People would find it difficult to associate the shocked
look with this iceberg.
Sydney gawked at him for a long time before splitting her sides withughter. "What are you doing?"
Sheughed her head off. "You look so silly."
Julien pursed his lips and looked at her. "I''m trying to make you happy. You were disappointed that
you failed to surprise me. I have to y along."
Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he was respected by his peers and seniors.
Unlike the others in the circle who put on shows to attain their goals, he didn''t need to y with
anyone.
This was probably the first time he had done that. He was aware of his silly look, but that would
make her happy.
In fact, he was only willing to do that in front of his grandma and her.
Touched by his performance, Sydney wrapped her arms around his waist. "It was just for fun. You
didn''t have to do that."
"As long as you''re happy." Julien turned around, held her, and dropped a kiss on her head.
