Chapter 625 Discharging Violet From Hospital (Part Two)
"Dad, Mom, I am genuinely sorry for what happened to Violet. Every time I see her, I am tormented with
guilt. Furthermore, I hate my school and the ss I am studying in. Lately, I can''t focus on my studies.
Since I was nning on studying abroad anyway, I decided, I would rather go now than wait till college.
I want to finish high school overseas, and then go to a university there," said Lawrence patiently while

Not knowing Cherry''s opinion yet, Jackson watched her silently.
"Lawrence, give us some time to discuss this, okay? Your Dad and I will talk, and then we''ll give you
our decision in a couple of days, sound fair?" Cherry asked. "Even if we agree to let you go, we will
need to make some formal arrangements to allow it, and that takes some time. While you are waiting
for our answer though, I hope you will continue to study hard at school. You do know it isn''t easy living
in a foreign country. You will have to adapt to a lot of new ways, and make changes," she stressed.
"I appreciate that, Mom. However, I think you should know, that while I hate the idea of leaving you,
Dad and Violet, my performance in school has sufferedtely. I have lost my drive, and feel like I am a
zombie. That''s why I..." Lawrence had a troubled look and stopped exining.
Cherry put her arm around Lawrence''s shoulder offeringfort, and in a motherly tone said,"I know
sweetheart, and I understand how you''re feeling."
"Thank you Mom," Lawrence replied calmly as he gazed into his Mother''s loving eyes.
After Lawrence left the room, Jackson and Cherryy in the bed cuddling. They were each in deep
thought and had scowls on their faces.
"Honey, what are your thoughts about Lawrence''s request?" Cherry asked.
"If he wants to go now, then I say, let him. He is grown and knows the life he wants to live," replied
Jackson.
"I was thinking the same thing. But, Lawrence has always been with me. I can''t bear to see him leave,"
Cherrymented as she stared at the ceiling upset about the ordeal.
Tightening his grip around Cherry, Jackson pulled her closer into his chest and soothed her,"Even if we
send our son to study abroad he cane home when he is on break. Don''t fret so much. Look, if you
miss him, we can always travel overseas to see him."
Cherry assessed her feelings inwardly, ''It isn''t fair! I know all good thingse to an end, but, I find it
difficult to ept my son leaving so soon. I''ll feel lost with him gone. He''s been by my side, since birth,
and he means the world to me.''
Nodding, she said,"Okay."
Cherry turned to look at Jackson and in a severe tone said,"Honey, please look into the study abroad
procedures tomorrow."
"Okay, I will," Jackson said.
The next morning, Violet opened her eyes and got out of bed, the second her rm red. Then she
quickly got dressed and made her bed.
After Cherry knocked on Violet''s door, she opened it and found her daughter ready.
"I''m ready for breakfast, Mom," Violet said ecstatically.
"Oh wow! My dearest, you are such a good girl!" Cherry smiled praising Violet as she stroked her hair.
"Let''s get downstairs and have breakfast! Then you can take me to school!" Violet suggested eagerly,
grabbing Cherry''s hand.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Cherry cheerfully replied as they walked hand in hand out of the room.
When they got downstairs, Jackson was out in the yard exercising and Lawrence was sitting at the
dining room table.
"Good morning, mydy! You''re up early today!" Lawrence eximed in amazement.
"Shouldn''t you give me some praise too?" Violet asked standing there with her arms crossed and a
triumphant look on her face. Giggling inwardly, Violet thought, ''I shouldn''t waste this chance to remind
Lawrence that I haven''t beente since I was admitted into the hospital.''
"Yes, of course! Please, my Queen, receive my sincerest greeting," Lawrence humbly said as he pulled
the seat next to his out for Violet.
Taking the seat Lawrence offered, Violet fiddled with her hair as she stated,"Well, I''m quite satisfied
with your demeanor today. Keep at it. Can you handle that, my loyal servant?"
"As youmand it, so it share be," Lawrence replied bobbing his head obediently.
Seeing her children behaving like they used to and getting along so well made Cherry happy. She
casually said,"Lawrence, ask your Dad toe join us for breakfast, please."
"Okay Mom," Lawrence said and jumped up to go get him.
Listening to her Mom, Violet stated abruptly,"Mom, next time you want Lawrence to do something,
please, ask me first, and I will instruct him to do it. I think that will be better."
Looking at her mischievous daughter, Cherry shook her head thinking, ''As always, she enjoys bullying
her brother.''
Lily came out of the kitchen with breakfast and saw Cherry and Violet sitting at the table. She greeted
with a pleasant smile,"Good morning, Mrs. Chu and Miss Chu."
"Good morning Lily!" Violet beamed,"What do you think of my outfit, Lily? This purple one is my
favorite!"
Lily gave Violet an admiring smile. ''She looks quite lovely in the T-shirt, '' she thought.
"You look very pretty today," Lily answered immediately.
"Will we be picking Alice up, Mom? Or is Aunt Amy taking her to school?" asked Violet suddenly.
"Aunt Amy didn''t ask me to pick Alice up, so, I guess she will drive Alice in today, and I will escort you
to school," Cherry replied thinking, ''If Amy didn''t have time to bring Alice, she would call me as usual.
But, Amy didn''t call, which means she is free today. So, I only need to worry about getting Violet off to
school.''
