Chapter 611 Her Secret (Part Three)


    The moment she left, Mike whispered to Jason,"Jason, she''s acting very suspicious; follow her."


    Mike had been covertly watching Reba since the first time her phone rang. He noticed she looked


    over at Lawrence, so, Mike naturally thought she was worried the noise had bothered Lawrence. When


    it rang the second time, Reba''s behavior became suspect, like she was trying to hide something


    and right after, she hurried out of the room. Reba was usually quiet and cautious, now she seemed


    to be anxious, and acted out of character, so, Mike gathered something serious was going on.


    Jason gave a quick nod and scooted silently out of the room after Reba.


    Mike turned and nced at Lawrence, who was still engrossed in his reading. It left Mike wondering


    whether or not Lawrence had noticed Reba''s behavior. Had Lawrence even noticed that Reba


    had walked out of the room?


    Mike turned his attention back to the novel he was reading, but couldn''t focus on it. He was too busy


    wondering what would happen next with Reba.


    Not surprisingly, Mike''s phone vibrated after a while. He pulled it out and saw it was from Jason. So, he


    answered the call quietly.


    "Yes Jason?" he whispered.


    In a hushed tone, Jason said,"Mike, tell Lawrence to go to the fifth floor of the Comprehensive Building.


    Reba and Dan are in the rehearsal room."


    Mike realized that the texts Reba had gotten were from Dan asking her to meet him.


    "Okay, I will," Mike said before ending the call.


    Mike walked over to Lawrence and stared at his lowered head, and said,"Follow me, let''s go."


    Lawrence casually asked in low voice,"Where are we going?"


    Mike knew from his question that Lawrence knew exactly what happened in this ssroom just now.


    Answering Lawrence''s question with a question, Mike asked,"Don''t you want to know the truth? Okay


    then, follow me." Wanting to get this over with, Mike tugged Lawrence up from his seat, and pulling him


    along, left the ssroom.


    As the two walked, Mike told Lawrence,"Jason said Reba and Dan were up on the fifth floor, in the


    rehearsal room."


    Not saying anything, Lawrence strode through the hallway with Mike. He knew if he had waited


    patiently, he would learn all the facts.


    Outside rehearsal room door, Jason quietly sat eavesdropping on Reba and Dan.


    When Mike and Lawrence got there, Lawrence peered in and saw a dim figure dressed in casual dark


    blue clothes, wearing expensive sneakers. Lawrence knew from the attire the man was from a noble


    family, and directly in front of the person was Reba.


    Dan gave Reba a serious look and asked,"I heard Lawrence didn''t pick you up this morning, Has he


    discovered your purpose?"


    Reba was astonished and wondered how Dan Chu knew. She asked,"How do you know that


    Lawrence didn''t pick me up today?"


    Dan smugly stated,"Because, I have people watching you," Reba had no idea the lengths he had


    gone to, and only he was aware of just how much he had done for this girl.


    Reba shouted angrily,"Watching me?" Reba enjoyed spending time with Lawrence and hadn''t


    thought Dan would have someone watching her.


    Dan chuckled and asked,"Do you think it''s important? My purpose is not to watch you..." Interrupting


    him before he finished, Reba hastily said,"Dan Huo, you shut up! I love Lawrence, and I want to be


    his girlfriend!"


    Her sentimental words didn''t surprise Dan and he sneered.


    Laughing grimly, he stared at Reba and asked,"Do you really love Lawrence? Come on, it''s his


    money you love, right? Everyone knows what you are after. Maybe, silly Lawrence is the only one in


    the dark on that, right?"


    Not letting up, Dan Huo continued to tease her,"I know Lawrence has a lot of friends. Don''t you realize


    they know what you really are? Don''t you think they warned him? After all, he is the prince of the JC


    Group, the future master of our city''s business. and he is tricked by you. That''s so ridiculous."


    Reba shot back,"Are youpletely nuts, Dan? Who are you to judge me?" Reba knew Dan


    was annoying. If she had power, she could kill him, possibly. He was a rich ck sheep. So, why did he


    pester her?


    When he heard Reba swear at him, he became furious. He stepped closer to her, grabbed her


    arms, shoved her against the wall and asked,"Reba, seriously, what do you love most on this earth?


    Lawrence or his money?"


    Dan thought maybe he was really crazy. Even though he knew Reba was a cheap woman, and


    what she had done in the past, he had a crush on her, and wanted her all to himself.


    Reba stared into his deep eyes and couldn''t think.


    Reba shouted,"Yes, yes, alright? You''re right. I love his money. For god''s sake, Lawrence is the heir


    to the JC Group. He has money, power and he''ll be able to satisfy all my needs!" Reba wanted to


    wake Dan up, and make him leave her alone.


    Reba ridiculed Dan saying,"And you? You, Dan Huo, you''re nothing!" She gradually calmed down


    as she spoke,"That''s right, you''re indeed rich. But, are you richer than Lawrence? Can you do the


    same things Lawrence can? I''ve investigated and learned that your father is a subordinate of


    Lawrence''s father! So, Dan Huo, you cannotpare to the likes of Lawrence. He is superior, noble.


    And you? You are just the dog guarding his door."
