Chapter 569 Being Found By ident (Part One)
The next morning, Jackson opened his eyes little by little. He wanted to sleep in but knew he had to get
up. He turned to the sleeping Cherry and whispered to her,"Just sleep, okay, baby? I need to take care
of some work matters today. But I''ll be backter."
"Come back and have lunch with me," Cherry whispered back, unable to open her eyes to look at
Jackson.
"I''lle back as soon as I can," Jackson promised. Cherry nodded and went back to sleep with a light
snore. Jackson kissed Cherry''s cheek before he got up.
Jackson went downstairs after he washed up and got dressed to get some breakfast.
Joe was already at the breakfast table and his eyebrows knotted in confusion when he saw Jackson

join him at the table without Cherry. Joe wondered why his Daddy wasn''t in bed with his Mommy.
"Good morning, Daddy," Joe greeted Jackson gleefully, despite his confusion.
"Finish your breakfast, Joe. You don''t want to bete for ss," Jackson reminded Joe as he took his
seat on the breakfast table.
"Don''t worry, Daddy. I was up five minutes earlier today. And I have enough time before school starts. If
not, I will ask Bill to drive fast so I can get to school on time. But I don''t think there will be traffic going to
school so I still won''t bete," Joe exined his n to Jackson. "I''m d we live here, Daddy, in this
ce. Because there''s no traffic, not a lot of cars on the road. And it''s a quiet ce. Thank you, Daddy.
I really like living here."
"Are you giving me praises, Joe?" Jackson wasn''t used to getting praises from Joe. ''What''s going on?
Why is Joe saying stuff like this?'' Jackson wondered.
"No, I just felt the need to say it," Joe stated. He finished his food and faced Jackson. "I''m done eating
and will go to school now. Enjoy your breakfast, Daddy, and take care of Mommy. I''ll be away, but just
for a day."
Joe left before Jackson could say anything.
Jackson was speechless as he watched Joe march to the door and close it behind him. He shook his
head, incredulous at his son''s audacious words.
He broke out of his reverie when Lily came out with his breakfast, which she ced in front of him.
"Enjoy your breakfast, Mr. Jackson," Lily greeted him.
"Thank you, Lily," Jackson grabbed his fork and took a forkful of food into his mouth. "By the way, you
don''t need to prepare breakfast for Cherry. She''s still fast asleep and I don''t believe she''ll get up before
11. Just prepare lunch for her." Jackson continued to eat his breakfast. "I''m going out today, going back
to my family home. So take care of Cherry while I''m out."
Lily''s face turned to shock and surprise when she heard Jackson mention that he was going to their
family home.
"Mr. Jackson, you are going back to your family home?" Lily inquired, her face still in shock.
"Yes, why? Is something wrong? Is there a problem?" Jackson was used to Lily''s reactions and quick
changes with her facial expressions. But this was different. Lily looked nervous and Jackson wondered
if he said something wrong.
Lily forced her face to soften. "No, no," she forced herself to say.
"You can be honest with me, Lily, if there''s something bothering you. You don''t need to hide things from
us," Jackson reassured Lily. She had something to say. About what, Jackson was not sure. Lily has
been with them for years, and Cherry and Jackson treated her like family now. He''d help her, too, if she
needed it.
"I have nothing to hide, Mr. Jackson. I was just surprised when you said you are going back to your old
family home," Lily said. She pretended to be calm while a million things raced through her head. The
thought of why Jackson was going to visit the family home dominated all other thoughts in her head. If
he acted brashly in this situation, he would destroy the peace his family was living now.
Jackson thought of Lily as family and it was unnecessary to hide something from her. But even if he
told her about this, she would most likely not understand.
"There''s a thing from my past that I need now. I thought I brought it here when I moved out of the family
home. But I already searched high and low. It''s not here," Jackson exined.
"Mr. Jackson, if you''d like, I can go with Bill and get it back for you. You don''t need to go there by
yourself," Lily continued. Jackson gave such a vague answer that didn''t satisfy Lily. She asked again so
she can get a more urate answer.
"No, but thank you all the same. I''d better go back to take it myself. It''s a valuable thing," declined
Jackson. Then he looked at Lily and kept on speaking,"Don''t forget to take good care of Cherry. That''s
the only thing I want you to pay great attention to."
Jackson went back to his food and newspaper. Lily nodded. "Okay, Mr. Jackson," Lily answered before
she returned to the kitchen.
When Lily entered the kitchen, she let go of all pretenses and let the worry cover her face. She had to
hold on to the hearth to keep herself from toppling down on the floor.
A cold shiver ran down her spine. It was almost certain that Jackson muste back for the token, the
most important and precious thing for him. But the token was not at his family home now. He would not
find it even though he came back. Furthermore, Jackson should care more about the safety of Cherry
and Joe in such a hazardous situation. Why was he suddenly looking for the token anyway? Did they
force him to look for it?
