Chapter 566 A Happy Family (Part Two)


    "Oh, alright. Well, thank you. But that little monkey went upstairs without meeting me," whined Cherry.


    She was relieved that he was home, though. She looked at the time and realised it was alreadyte


    afternoon, that was usually when Joe came home. They had lost track of time while talking to each


    other.


    "Let him be Cherry. Give him the freedom to do what he wants. It is okay!" Jacksonforted her. He


    then looked at Lily and said,"Okay, thank you Lily. You can go finish your work now."


    "Right, sir," said Lily and turned to leave.


    "Also, Lily. When you prepare dinner today, please make a little extra food. I am super hungry and may


    eat a lot tonight," Cherry said, feeling embarrassed at how her appetite had suddenly surged.


    "Okay, sure madam, I understand," smiled Lily.


    Jackson smiled when he looked at the embarrassed look on Cherry''s face and said,"Well of course you


    are feeling hungry. You are not just eating for yourself now, you also have to provide enough nutrition


    for the baby. But don''t worry. I can afford to feed you as much as you want."


    Lily had left and Cherry looked at Jackson and cutely said,"Listen, I know you can afford to feed me lots


    of food but if I be fat by eating so much, you should still love me, alright?"


    "I would never dislike you, Cherry. I love you. And I would like you to be a little fat actually," said


    Jackson. He imagined how Cherry would look with a little weight on her body. ''She would look so cute,


    just like Joe!'' thought Jackson.


    "You are so annoying! You''re always teasing me like this," Cherry said and cuddled up in Jackson''s


    chest.


    In the evening, as the family sat around for dinner, Cherry attacked the food like there was no


    tomorrow. She got so busy eating that she paid no heed to whether Joe was eating his food or not.


    Jackson poured her a ss of water, in case she would choke on her food, as a result of eating so fast.


    Joe, on the other hand felt unhappy and neglected. He thought his Mommy wasn''t speaking to him


    much these days and was ignoring him. He pouted and asked Cherry,"Mommy, why aren''t you talking


    to me today? Don''t you care about me?"


    "Why should I care about you?" retorted Cherry, as she ate her food from the bowl.


    "Because you are my Mommy!" eximed Joe. He had always had Cherry''s full attention and even


    though she was strict with him at times, Joe knew that he was his mother''s darling son, no matter what!


    "Yes, right. So?" replied Cherry nonchntly.


    She continued in a calm tone,"But I also need care and looking after now Joe. I am just as vulnerable


    and in need of care as you are."


    To which Joe said,"But Daddy takes care of you. You have him by your side everyday! Isn''t that


    enough?" Joe asked her in a dissatisfied tone. He had seen Daddy look after Mommy and be there for


    her. He was at home nowadays just looking after her. So what was the matter? Did Mommy need more


    love?


    "Joe, you very well know what I mean, don''t you?" Cherry asked Joe in a serious tone. She wanted him


    to stopining.


    Joe was a sharp boy and picked up what his mother meant immediately. He said sweetly to her,"Of


    course Mommy. I am your son and I know exactly what you mean. Now have some more fish,e


    on."


    With these words, Joe tipped the te of fish towards his mother to show her that he cared too.


    "Would you call this caring for me?" Cherry pretended to ask Joe in a strict tone and turned to Jackson,


    expecting an answer.


    Jackson could not bear to see the mother and son bicker and simply said,"Oh,e on babe. You


    know you are the queen of both our hearts!"


    "Okay, sounds good now," she chuckled and went back to eating. She enjoyed how rxed and happy


    the atmosphere was. She really enjoyed being around her family.


    Suddenly, Cherry remembered something and said to Joe,"Your Uncle Wilson and Aunt Selina have

    "Sure, l will do that," said Joe.


    She looked at Joe, satisfied and happy and then turned to Jackson,"What about you? Do you have


    anything important to dotely?"


    "Nope, I''m free," said Jackson. Although Cherry''s question seemed more like an order and he had no


    option but to agree to whatever she wanted.


    "Good. Then we''ll go see them together," she said with finality.


    Jackson nodded. "Alright, you are the boss after all."


    "Mommy, when are Uncle Derek and Aunt Amy getting married? Isn''t it their turn now?" asked Joe


    curiously.


    "We have to wait until your Uncle Wilson and Aunt Selina return from their honeymoon. How will your


    Uncle Derek get married without his sister by his side? He cannot hold the ceremony just for us, right?"


    Cherry knew what she was saying was a little exaggerated. While Derek and Amy had other friends in


    the city, she wanted to draw up an analogy for her son to understand what she meant. She had to tell


    him how important Selina and Wilson were to the ceremony.

    Joe was satisfied with the answers and lowered his head to start eating again.


    "Haha, I know you just want to join in the fun!"ughed Cherry, as she too, went back to eating her


    dinner.
