Chapter 539 Sweet Call (Part Two)
She remembered the day her parents were taken away clearly. Dozens of men wearing military
uniforms showed up at her home to take her parents into custody. When they were trying to drag her
parents off, Sally blocked them to try and keep them away from her mom and dad. However, two tall
men grabbed her hands and ripped her from her parents. After that, she was left crying on the floor
while her parents were dragged off. Seeing the desperation in her mother''s eyes, Sally struggled to
take her hand, but it slipped through her grasp. It never crossed her mind that would be thest time
she saw them.
Later, when the military men returned for her, Jackson showed up and she hid behind him crying.
Jackson held her hand and consoled her, telling her everything would be okay. Back then, she had faith
in Jackson, and put her life in his hands. She knew Jackson would do his best to keep her safe. He
was the only one she could rely on.
Andter, Jackson did save her, at a cost she didn''t know, which was why she was still alive. She could
still hear Jackson promising to wait for her while he held her hands.
But, by the time Sally returned, Jackson loved Cherry and had made her his wife. If not for that, Sally
knew she could admire Cherry or even have been her friend. Cherry must be quite an admirable
woman or Jackson wouldn''t have fallen in love her. Unfortunately, since Cherry was Jackson''s wife,
Sally couldn''t be friendly to her. Instead, Sally envied Cherry and tried to take revenge on her. Jackson
was everything to Sally, and he was the one she would depend on always. Cherry took him away
though, and her hatred for Cherry grew. She couldn''t just stand by and watch Cherry steal Jackson
from her.
Immersed in memories, Sally stood there crying silently. Obviously, she was oblivious to the noises
from passersby and broadcasts. Before leaving the city, she wanted to think about what her life had
been there.
A man ran towards the security checkpoint carrying a heavy package in one arm, and his ID card and
boarding pass in the other. As he raced passed Sally, his elbow jarred into her.
Sally regained her bnce and came back to reality. She reached into her pocket, took out a tissue,
and wiped her tears away. As another advertisement shed across the screen, Sally told herself
inwardly, ''Jackson, my beloved, I will be back soon. You''re the most important person to me, and I will
never let you go.''
Leaving her sadness behind, Sally confidently walked to the security checkpoint.
The ne took off into the clear, blue sky.
Standing in front of the windows on the top floor of JS Group building, Selina stared at the view of the
skyscrapers. She was grinning happily and lost in thought, ''In just a few days, I am going to be married!
Wilson is the man of my dreams, and finally, after all this time, my wish to be his wife and spend the
rest of my life with him wille true!''
The phone was ringing suddenly, which drew her attention. She reached over to grab it and smiled

sweetly when she saw the ID caller.
"Hello Wilson," Selina cooed into the phone.
"Selina, are you busy?" Wilson''s soft voice reached her ear.
"No, I am not doing anything special. I finished all my work for the day, and I''m just standing in front of
the window looking at the beautiful view," Selina replied smiling.
"I see, and here, I was afraid you might be working too hard. So, I was calling to ask you to get some
rest," Wilson''s voice was filled with concern.
"Don''t worry, I''m not a child, and I know how to take care of myself. You don''t have to call to remind me
so often," Selina said meekly, beaming with happiness inside. Each time she heard the concern in
Wilson''s words, she felt like the happiest person in the world. Sometimes Selina thought she was more
fortunate than Cherry. In her eyes, she could always rely on Wilson.
"You''re my fiancee, of course I should care for you. Do you expect me to care about other women?"
Wilson asked smirking.
"How dare you!" huffed Selina, her expression going from smiling to angry in a sh even though she
knew Wilson was kidding.
Wilson burst outughing and yfully teased,"You aren''t even married to me yet, and here you are
talking to me like a wife."
"Wilson, you are such a bully! I will tell uncle and aunt that you bully me tonight," Selina returned in an
air of anger while giggling inside.
"No, don''t do that!" Wilson said hurriedly,"My dad and aunt are partial to you, and I have be less
important. They used to dote on Joe, but you are the favored one now."
"I''m d you know that. Don''t bully me again," said Selina chuckling.
"Okay, okay! I yield, you win. I never meant to bully you," Wilson replied,"I will pick you up at the office
when you get off."
"That sounds good, it just so happens, I asked my secretary to take my car in for maintenance today.
So, you''ll have to be responsible for picking me up until our wedding day," Selina cheerfully informed
Wilson.
"No problem! I will be your personal driver from today. You can call me at any time and I''ll be there for
you," Wilson replied confidently.
"Well then, see youter!" Selina returned sweetly.
