Chapter 504 Shocking News (Part Three)
"Amy, you aren''t married to Derek, yet. How can you speak up on his side? I''m your bestie! Why would
you take his side against me?" Cherry huffed and crossed her arms.
"Well, I better zip my lip then, " Amy was smiling as she conceded. ''I''ve already given myself to Derek
though, and now we just need the wedding ceremony, '' she mused while she basked in happiness.
"Cherry, you must have got lots of practice lecturing Jackson at home. Joe is such a quick boy. If you
speak to him in such a manner, he doesn''t take itying down, unlike Jackson who doesn''t argue, "
Derek quipped.
"Oh? Is that how you see me, Derek?" there was an hint of a warning in Jackson''s tone as he asked.
Theughter and light feeling in the room seemed to disappear with Jackson''s question.
Cherry was up in a sh and sitting next to Jackson, "Derek, my husband is a good man, " Cherry said
defensively as she wrapped her arms around Jackson''s waist.
Jackson silently looked down at the woman now ensconced in his arms telling himself, ''Just let her be.
Nothing is more important than her happiness.''
"I beg your pardon, Cherry. I shouldn''t be bickering with you, " Derek said looking away from Cherry.
He moved back to where Amy was and casually looped arm over her shoulders.
"Honey, would we be able to pay my mom and uncle a visitter? While we are there, we can see their
wedding room, " Cherry asked in a sweet, melodic voice while looking up at Jackson.
Jackson nodded in agreement.
"Cherry, are you going to visit uncle and aunt? I''d like to go too, " Selina cut in.

Selina looked questioningly at Wilson wanting to hear his opinion.
"Wilson, will youe with us?" Cherry asked Wilson when she saw the silent imploring look Selina
had given him.
"sure!" agreed Wilson.
"Honey, I believe there is something wrong today, " Jackson whispered in Cherry''s ear.
"What do you mean?" Cherry questioned. ''I didn''t notice anything strange aside from my behavior, '' she
thought.
"Derek, something is wrong with Derek!" Jackson answered bluntly thinking, ''When I saw Derek out in
front of the JS Group, he looked different. He is overjoyed today. I can''t assume what good news he
has.''
Cherry''s eyesnded on Derek while he was sharing an intimate moment with Amy. ''They are dating
and intend to get married, and it''s perfectly normal for them to be as thick as thieves. I don''t see
anything out of the ordinary, '' she thought.
Cherry turned around and looked at Jackson whispering to him, "Dear, I don''t see anything fishy here.
Derek looks normal to me."
"Go ahead, ask him what''s going on, " challenged Jackson with a smug grin. ''I''m positive he is hiding
something from me. We''ve been friends for too many years, I know when he is keeping something
secret. I wouldn''t deserve to be called his friend, if I didn''t see it, '' he determined.
"Okay, " Cherry said shrugging, and turned to stare at Derek as she inquired, "Derek, what are you
keeping from us?"
Heads whipped around and five pairs of eyes stared in his direction, ''Why is Cherry asking that all the
sudden?'' they wondered.
Derek immediately became anxious, and looked at Cherry, before ncing at Jackson, ''I can see it in
Jackson''s eyes, he guessed, '' Derek surmised.
"Cherry? Hmmm, erm, about that..." Derek didn''t know what to say and stammered.
Amy sat next to him thinking. ''It''s better if Derek tells them. It would be too awkward for me to since the
only person I am farmiliar with in the group is Cherry.''
"Wait, really? Are you keeping something from the rest of us?" Selina demanded. "Derek, you would
keep secrets from us! How dare you!" she screeched.
"Selina, listen, it''s not what you think. I was going to tell you, I swear, " panic was rising in Derek''s voice
as he exined.
Joining in on reprimanding him, Cherry grilled him, "Then why haven''t you?" ''He''s keeping something
to himself! He has to confide in us!'' she decided.
"Do you even consider me your sister? How can you keep me in the dark?" Selina''s voice quivered
with the twang of hurt as she pouted and frowned. ''He even kept his secret from me. Look at him. He is
behaving more bashful than I do. What does Amy see in him, '' she wondered.
"Fine, fine! Okay, I''ll tell you!" uttered Derek in exasperation. "This morning, Amy and I got marriage
certificates. We''re going to have our wedding ceremony soon too, " he gathered up the courage and
blurted out all at once.
"Wha...What?" Selina''s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open in shock and she stared at Derek.
''I can''t believe my ears! I know they''ve been dating, but it hasn''t been that long, and they are moving so
fast. What if Derek gets married before me? How could I ept it?'' Selina deliberated.
Cherry and Jackson weren''t bbergasted, ''Been there, done that. Besides, with how well I know
Derek, I''m not surprised at his decision, '' they thought.
"Selina, we just registered our marriage today. We haven''t thought about or discussed the date our
ceremony will be, so, don''t get all worked up, " Derek rushed to exin to her. ''Wow! This seems to
have really taken her by surprise. I didn''t mean to shock her so badly, '' he realized as he observed her
behavior.
After pausing to consider what to say, he continued, "But, don''t worry, we won''t hold our ceremony
before yours. Remember, we just got our certificates. We haven''t started any preparations for a
wedding. What we do, won''t affect your ns. Please, don''t be angry with me."
"Derek, it''s okay! You just really caught me off guard! Do you know how much you shocked me just
now?" Selina yfully smiled as she asked.
Amy realized Selina was picking on Derek when Selina smiled.
"You would dare trick me?" Derek asked Selina when he finally saw through Selina''s ruse.
"I was only pulling your leg! I wish you and Amy all the best, and a long, happy life, " Selina said
sweetly.
Seeing Selina and Derekughing together merrily, Cherry and Jackson nced at each other. "Dear?
It appears Derek''s news isn''t shocking. Should we tell them ours?" Cherry asked Jackson.
