Introduction: This story is another chapter in Fae Land's history. We shift to the Sunken Continent. Long ago, this island was purposefully drowned during the first War of the three Sea Monarchs. The Hierophant worried for the residents of the continent and used his power to create a series of islands from the sunken landmass to shelter the displaced residents over time. The majority of the residents would flee to other continents. fast forward 300 years, and we move to a lone island with humans making the majority and a mermaid colony and one other Fae race. These Fae are known as the Jabberwockies. The Jabberwocky are an aquatic, landlocked Fae race. They have smooth, fish-like skin, large fish lips, and a large dorsal fin on their heads. They have four strong legs with three claws. Their upper bodies are skinny with lanky arms with long, needle-like nails, which they use to write in their journals. Jabberwockies have wildly colored skin that ranges from pale pastels to darker shades.This is the story of Klint the First Jabberwocky Priest, a self-isolated Jabberwocky who will find true happiness with his mermaid life partner Noira. The two will go on to find great happiness in each other and end up creating a new future for both Jabberwockies and the Ness.!Spoilers for the Jabberwocky Race: all this is explained in the story!The Jabberwockies were brought into existence by the Eldest Monarch of the Sea, Rahab the Beast. The Jabberwockies were unlike the rest of Rahab's children; the others were strong, swift, powerful, and mindless. The Jabberwockies, however, were intelligent and weak, and they were essentially made into slaves by the other beast merfolk. Eventually they would flee to the mainland, making a home there. Queen Rahab didn't care and allowed them to leave.After several years on land, the Jabberwockies would find that they could use magic like other Fae. This set them apart from the other Beast Merfolk, who were born without the ability to use magic, but back to the Jabberwockies.The Jabberwockies, being natural scholars, would find that they had an innate allergy to water. This didn't harm them, but it would nullify their magical powers completely.After discovering their magical ability, the Jabberwockies would find that they had a natural affinity with water magic. This was both good and bad, and on top of that, the Jabberwockies would meet with other Fae creatures, and the Jabberwockies would quickly get humbled when they found out that their magic was incredibly lackluster. Despite this, the Jabberwocky would end up living in small cave communities that were comparable to secret cults. The Jabberwockies are an all-male race, with them being divided into Alphas and Betas. This is similar to an Omegaverse. The Jabberwockies, when two want to start a family, will lay eggs that will hatch into Jabberwocky pups. The pups resemble small, pug-sized salmon with slender chicken legs. Jabberwockies have a unique quality where they will remain pups until they find their awakening. This is like MLP in a way, but a Jabberwocky pup's awakening is more about realizing something that can better their family or group. It's more so about being selfless than anything else.Anyway, after discovering their awakening, Jabberwocky pups will be engulfed in an aura that will cause them to instantly grow into a Jabberwocky whelp, basically a teenage Jabberwocky.Lastly, Jabberwockies or any other Fae for that matter can learn different types of elemental magic, and for most Fae this is easier, but for Jabberwockies learning any other type of magic outside water magic is almost impossible for them....
