REUNION
(location: India, Bangalore Highway)
Scene:1
On a highway in Bangalore, a convoy of five Audi A4s sped through the night. In the center car, a man sat, speaking on his phone

Jun: It''s fine. Matsuyama, I am a father, I wants to attend my daughter''s kenjutsu competition. I''ve been so busy that I couldn''t meet my brother for 5 years and I haven''t seen my nephews in age

Scene -2
A Bamboo sword flies in the air and falls
Kazama: good one Kazuya
Kazuya; you have gotten strong Ryu.
Ryu: damn it if hadn’t for my short reach I would have defeated you.
Kazama: It''s your loss. Accept it. (Ryu,sits on the wooden floor of the dojo) You excel in both kenjutsu and taijutsu. But, you''re still a kid. No one is born perfect. Some people have long reach, some have insane strength other may have High endurance. So, it''s not an excuse to not accept your loss. If you want to beat your brother, you must move faster than, to reach him faster than him and land’s a hit.
Ryu: But, brother is perfect in every way. He is fast, strong, and has high endurance. He''s also big and agile.
Kazama: He is merciful, unlike you. He always goes for the sword, even when he can stick your head. He has the ability to injure you with little effort. But You, would do that without thinking, as your instincts guide you. But, Kazuya is different , in a good way.
Kazama: it’s his weakness but also his greatest strength as a human.
Ryu:(raises his hand) can we train in hand-to-hand combat now?
Kazama: No, rest for now
Ryu: A little spar won’t hurt-
Kazuya: dad’s right you should rest for the day as you have a competition coming
Ryu; damn it, I wanted to show you a new move I learned
Kazama: What do you mean, "he is resting for a while?" Your uncle and aunt are coming with their daughter. She is competing in the upcoming contest. I want you to spar with her.
Kazama: (glares)don’t you dare hold back you have 100,000 yens on your head

Ryu: (leans over his brothers shoulder) make 50%

Doorbell rings
Kazama: looks like he is hear
Ryu:(stands up and about to run) uncle ju-”
Kazama: (grabs him by the back collar of his hakama) First, go wash up. You don''t want to stink in front of them.
Ryu and Kazuya: yes dad
Kazama: (in his mind) He''s gotten a lot stronger for his age. The same goes for Kazuya. But, Ryu is different. His growth is abnormal. If this keeps up, he will be as powerful as Kazuya soon, or even surpass him. But, what am I afraid of? Is it the fear of him becoming like my past self? I won’t let that happen.
Scene 3
Doorbell Rings
Aditi Kazama:(yells from the kitchen) coming
Aditi goes to the front door. She opens it and sees Jun Kazama, his wife Rina, and their daughter Akiko at the front gate. She smiles.
Jun: Hello, it’s been a while, Aditi
Aditi: yes it''s been a while, Jun
Rina: hey, I am here too
Rina comes close to Aditi and hugs her
Rina how have you been ?
Akiko peaks from the back of his father
Rina: comes here Akiko meet your aunt
Akiko: (shy)hello my name is Akiko good to meet you aunt
Aditi: (bends down to pat her head and says) She is so cute (and hugs her)

As she is leading them to the dining room
Jun: where is Jin?
Aditi: he is in Dojo with the kids
Jun: is he training them?
Aditi: yes but they should be coming here as they should have finished by no-”
Jin:(cuts in between Aditi) It seems someone is missing me so much
jun: don’t get your ahead of yourself

Jin: yeah, its been while
Jun: Akiko, come meet your uncle
Akiko: good to meet you, uncle
Jin: (look’s at Akiko’s) Phew! I’m glad she took after Rina. If she had taken after you, it would have been a disaster!

Rina and Aditi laughed A Little
Rina: That''s right it would have been a disaster if that had happened

Everyone in the hall laughed. Akiko felt confused. When she relished, she burst into laughter. After everyone calmed down, they laughed again on innocence of her

They both laughed. Then, they placed their hands on each other''s shoulders. They said, "We will be drinking the whole night."

Rina: you are right they are still like when they were 15 by the way where are Ryu and Kazuya I haven’t seen them?
Aditi: They must be taking a bath
Akiko: mamma who are Ryu and Kazyua
Rina: Right, you never met them. You were a kid then. They are your cousins. And you know one of them is your age.
Akiko: (her eyes glisters) ohhhhh! I want to meet them
Rina: yes, yes, you will meet them first let''s go to dining room
then all of them walk to the dining room
In dinning Room
Jun: did you make all of this Aditi?
Aditi: yes
Jun: it looks delicious.

Kazuya takes a sigh of relief as he thinks that he didn’t get to embrace but his mom when saw him sign she as a different plan
Aditi:( looks at Kazuya) he’s as immature as Jin. Jin never puts his clothes in the laundry bucket. Instead, he tosses them everywhere.
Kazuya: I am no-
Ryu: (cuts in) You are exactly like me brother and smirks at him
Then, he grabs him under the elbow and rubs his head with his fist. Everyone laughs and has a good time.
Rina: (to Akiko) Why aren’t you eating dear
Aditi: don’t tell me you didn’t like the food it’s
Ryu: (all of a sudden) Hey Dad when are you gonna let me fight
Jin and Jun’s food gets stuck in their chest and they beat it to go down
Rina: don’t tell me
Akiko nodes
Rina: You sorry ass for a husband how can you make the children spar when they have met for the first huh
Jin: listen, its just a little spar, it won’t hu-”
Aditi: ''It won’t hurt'' You know Ryu fights like a maniac and is stronger than most of the kids his age
Jun: hey, it''s not that big of a deal Akiko isn’t we-”
Aditi: it’s not about that
Rina: She''s right, They have a tournament tomorrow. So, what''s the point of making them fight now? They''ll get to fight each other then.
Akiko: mamma but I want to spar
Rina: not you too
Rina:(glares at Jun ) What have you done to my sweet little daughter
Aditi: What should I do with you? Train them every day, I don’t say much about that, but this situation cannot continue.
Ryu: Mom please let us fight I promise we will not hurt each other we promise, right (glances at Akiko)
Akiko:(nodes) yeah we will not we promise
Both Ryu and Akiko look at their mothers with hopeful expressions to persuade them to agree.
Aditi: fine, but it better not be to anything dangerous
Jin and Jun clench their fists and say yes. They notice their wives glancing at them, signaling, "We''ll talk about this later." They gulped, feeling anxious.
Rina: one one condition we will be there to watch
Jun: why we will take-”
Aditi: we know you both will do something dumb so to avoid that we will keep a watch on you
Ryu: (stands and yells) Let go to the dojo
everyone goes to the dojo
Ryu and Akiko stand in front of each other and fist-bump to each other
Jin: It''s a light spar of Taijutsu. No weapons. Both of you will wear the same clothes to save time. So, without further ado, begin.
Akiko lunges at Ryu and punches. Ryu blocks with his left forearm. He counters with a right hook, but she dodges it to the left. She then returns with a left high roundhouse kick to his face. He blocks it with his right hand and counters with a downward elbow. She dodges again to the right.
Ryu thinks she is only good at dodging. Her attacks are weak, so she needs to hit harder. Her speed means low endurance. He needs to create an opening to lure her. After exchanging blows, Ryu leaves an opening. when he thinks he has her, she turns and hits him with a right body cross to the solar plexus. He backs up and almost falls to his knees.
Enraged, Ryu goes full force and closes the gap. He prepares to kick her ribs. As she tries to block it, he changes stance and does a right Brazilian kick. It hits her left shoulder. Ryu follows with a liver blow that lifts her into the air. He then readies another Brazilian kick to her face, but Kazuya grabs his leg.
Ryu: “what the hell” do you think you’re doing, brother?
Akiko falls to the ground. Rina and Aditi rush over to help her. Meanwhile, Jin and Jun didn’t move from their spots, thinking, We’re dead for sure...
Kazuya: fathers said it''s a light spar
Ryu: huh fine (walks away)
Ryu: (In his mind) If she goes for the vitals it’s fine, but if it’s me I went too far? What a load of crap. If I’m fighting, I’m fighting to win. Doesn’t matter who or what they are—I’m going for the win, no matter the consequences.
Kazuya: (sites on haunches along with Aditi and Rina and asks Akiko) you fine there
Akiko: why did you stop the fight and where do you think you are going
Ryu: (stares at her) Everyone knows who won so get your shi-
Jin: Ryu, watch what you are saying
Ryu: Sorry it slipped out
Akiko: (stands up) it’s my fault for losing my calm it was a good spar
Ryu never imagined her to be like this and thought that she was gonna resent him for life
Akiko: I am gonna beat you one day remember that
Ryu:(blushes) yeah, (feeling uncomfortable)
Jin: now it does not seem that serious so how about we eat and call it a night
Jun: (takes the lead) Yeah he is right they are good so what the matter
Rina and Aditi were furious because of the spar. They calmed down when they saw the kids did not hold it against each other. So, they thought it was fine.
then they go back to where dining room and everyone
After that, they enjoyed the night and ate the food. As everyone goes to sleep late at night,

Jin sat on the floor of the backyard, staring at the moonlight.

Jun: what are you doing up so late?
Jin: nothing admiring the moon isn’t pretty
Jun: well it is, but since when did you start admiring the moon huh?
Jin: Jun did you see Ryu’s eye back there
Jun: yeah, those were the same as yours from 15 years back.
Jin: Yeah, Every time I see him fight, he gets stronger. He''s outgrowing most kids his age. And, the look in his eyes... it''s like his hunger for power is growing. He wants to fight and rip apart those stronger than him.
Jun: don’t worry he won’t turn out like him (puts his fist on the chest of Jin’s chest) he is dead isn''t he
Jin: (smiles) Yeah he is long gone.
Jun: well let''s sleep now we have a long tomorrow anyway so better rest up now.
Jin: yeah by the way why’s the left side of your red.
Jun: the same reason that makes your right side red.
Jin and Jun: hahahahahahaaha and went to their room to sleep
