Chapter 133

    Chapter 133

Wyatt Reed had only eyes for Alice Perez three years ago. Why should he care about the

appearance of the person he casually saved?

    Wyatt simply didn''t care.

''So, Ivy doesn’t know how to swim?''

Wyatt''s expression was perplexed. His dark eyes were as dark as ink and filled with a depressing

    gloom.

"I''m sorry..." All of the words he wanted to say were reduced to these two simple words.

Ivyughed because she found it amusing. "You should apologize. You didn''t expect those boxers

toe after me after I rescued you from the underground fight club, did you? That they''d seek

    vengeance from me."

This sentence caused Wyatt''s face to turn horrifyingly ugly as if he had been struck by lightning. He

grabbed her arm and looked at her with intense emotion.

    "What exactly did you say?"

    ''What makes him so surprised?''

Ivyughed indifferently as if she didn''t understand. Since it hade to this, it was unclear which

of them owed the other the most.

"Three years ago, Mr. Reed, I could swim. I don''t want to learn to swim again because my head was

pressed against the water, and I drank too much of it. Is this enough of a reason for you?" Ivy said

this indifferently, trying to forget her stiflingly dark past.

Everything happened as a result of her own decision.

Ivy had never regretted being punished for saving Wyatt.

Ivy would be resentful if this happened before.

Everything, however, was now in the past. She''d already let go of her crush on him, so it didn''t

    matter to her.

Wyatt''s expression was solemn. His eyes were filled with shock, which quickly turned to extreme

anger and hatred. He always thought that if he didn''t stay in the army, those people wouldn''t be able

to find him. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Who knew they had actually found Ivy and were only letting them go because they thought they had

    already killed her?

Wyatt dared not recall how shocking that scene had been three years before.

Ivy might not have been saved if he had been just one secondte. Would things have turned out

differently if he had asked about her or cared a little more?

Ivy had already helped him a great deal without his knowledge. But at the time, all he cared about

was being upset about being forced into that marriage.

Wyatt''s eyes were filled with resentment and rage. All he felt when he looked at Ivy was heartbreak

    and sorrow.

It was dark outside, and everything was quiet.

A cold breeze blew past them. Ivy was afraid of the cold and didn''t want to stay any longer. She

turned around, wanting to get out of this depressing ce.

''So, what if he''s aware of it? That makes no difference! If he felt any remorse, he should just get out

of my face and never bother me again!''

Before she could take a step outside, the person behind her drew her back and clutched her tightly.

Her back was pressed against a warm, firm chest, and she was immediately engulfed in his icy

    aura.

That strange yet familiar sensation engulfed her right away.

    Ivy was taken aback.

Wyatt abruptly spoke in a gloomy, raspy tone. "Ivy, I''ll track them down. I swear."

''I''ll track them down and kill them!''

Ivy frowned and jerked away from his grasp. Her voice was cold and uninviting. "It makes no

difference. Anyway, it''s all in the past."

Their drivers had arrived at the entrance at that point.

Wyatt pulled Ivy again as she was about to get into her car.

    "Wyatt Reed!"

Ivy was going crazy. ''Why is Wyatt Reed bothering me like a vexing fly that won''t go away?!''

She wished she could chastise him for being unreasonable.

Wyatt gripped her wrist firmly. His tone was solemn and solemn. "Ivy, believe it or not, I really regret

it. If… If I get another chance—"

Ivy abruptly cut him off. The agony in her eyes could no longer be ignored. "Wyatt Reed, I''ve had

nightmares about those things in the past for years. I haven''t had a single day of happiness or joy

since I met you. I have no regrets about saving you, but I beg you to let go of the past and stop

    talking about it."

Wyatt''s regret for his past actions made no difference to Ivy''s three years of agony. It was even a

    little amusing.

Wyatt''s body tensed up suddenly. He couldn''t bear looking at Ivy because her fractured voice and

the pain in her eyes had left him shaken.

Those pains were all brought on by him, and he had no idea!

Ivy focused her gaze on the man''s side profile in front of her, noting his defined jawlines, straight

nose, and perfectly sculpted features. She was once so obsessed with him that she couldn''t get

away from him. All she wanted now was to get away from him! Her pained expression was quickly

hidden. She shifted her gaze to the front and forced a smile, but she appeared unconcerned.

"You don''t have to feel sorry for me, and you don''t have to be sorry for anything. It''s all in the past

    now, so let''s move on."

Wyatt''s regret, Ivy reasoned, stemmed from the guilt he felt toward her after discovering the reason

    she couldn''t swim.

It was, in fact, unnecessary. That was her one-sided love for him at the time because he had

jumped on her to save her on the streets of Europe.

Ivy, on the other hand, refused to mention it. Her gaze was slightly averted as she turned around

    and entered the Morgans'' car.

Wyatt wanted to chase her down again, but his legs wouldn''t let him. Thinking about Ivy''s cold and

strange gaze earlier made him wonder what right he had to stop her. He stood there silently

watching as her car vanished in front of him, then turned to leave.

    RST BAR.

Wyatt pushed the door open and entered the lively private room, which had arge number of

    people inside.

Duke stood up in surprise when he saw Wyatt''s sudden appearance.

"Didn''t you have dinner with Ivy and her family, Wyatt? What brought you over here all of a

    sudden?"

Wyatt was usually present when a few of their close friends gathered once in a while.

However, he did not show up this time, iming proudly that he had a dinner to attend.

Wyatt''s eyes darkened when Ivy''s name was mentioned. His chest felt like it had been smacked

with a sledgehammer. It throbbed with pain.

Wyatt walked over and sat. The private room abruptly became silent. He took up a bottle of vodka

and leaned back to drink it. His body exuded a cold, sullen, and bitter aura.

Everyone was taken aback by this.

"Were you agitated by something, Mr. Reed? Is it because Ivy has lost her cool yet again?" A

sluggish gent next to him spoke up.

This guy had only heard Duke say that Wyatt always hit a brick wall with Ivy.

Wyatt''s cheeks were slightly sunken. His gaze was solemn and cold as he paused in his motions to

    take another swig of vodka.

Duke smirked. The gentry smugly tried to persuade Wyatt before he could stop him.

"This woman ispletely shameless. She''s just a divorced woman you no longer want. It''s already

an honor for you to look at her, so how can she treat you so poorly?"

Duke shook his head in frustration as he shushed the gentry.

''It''s all over. Because of his stupid mouth, this guy won''t be able to continue mingling in our circle!''

Wyatt abruptly raised his head in the dim light. His gloomy and cold eyes snarled at the gentry.

They were filled with bitter coldness and even a hint of rage. Wyatt mmed the bottle he was

holding onto the table in front of him.
