Everyone looked at the Morgan family’s beloved daughter with envy in their eyes.
Cooper approached Ivy with a smile.
Ivy turned her head to look at him. “Is this one of the programs as well?” I don’t recall this being part

Cooper gave a faint smile, his aura calm and reserved. “Of course not.” Then his pupils constricted
slightly.
He noticed a man walking down the stairs on the other side, not far away. His tone softened
noticeably. “However, I believe I know who it is.”
“Who?” Ivy inquired and followed his gaze. She tensed slightly.
Simon wore a tuxedo that was custom-made for him. With his bewitching smile on his face, his
allure was unmistakable. He was holding arge bouquet of delicate roses. The meaning of the
roses was self-exnatory. He approached Ivy and gazed at her with such tenderness.
Ivy, on the other hand, stiffened. It was far toote to flee. Her scalp began to tingle immediately.
The people around them began to speak in whispers.
Everything that happened tonight was absolutely incredible. Wyatt Reed was the first to go. It was
now Simon Albert’s turn.
The surprises didn’t stop there.
Dolly Kinder, who was not far away, looked horrifyingly pale when she saw this scene.
Simon Albert had piqued everyone’s interest.
Ivy maintained her poise and dignity. She stood there as if nothing had happened, watching as the
man approached her. Her eyes flitted.
Simon approached her slowly. He had a nervous expression on his face.
Everyone was waiting for something to happen with bated breath.

“Wow, what a surprise!”
“But isn’t Wyatt Reed interested in Ivy as well? Otherwise, why would he send her such expensive
gifts?”
“Both of these men are excellent choices. I’m curious who Ivy will choose.”
Ivy could no longer hold back when Simon appeared in front of her. She couldn’t stand by and
watch as things deteriorated.
Everyone’s gaze was drawn to them. Ivy noticed Wyatt, who was standing in the crowd, with a light
sweep of her eyes. His cold and mesmerizing eyes were fixed on them.
Ivy stiffened slightly, but she didn’t have time to consider it. She took a gentle step forward, a faint
smile on her lips, and looked at Simon.
Simon raised the roses in his hands, but Ivy softly interrupted him just as he was about to say
something. She gave him a vague smile and spoke in hushed tones that only the two of them could
hear.
It was both a threat and a warning. “I’ll break your knees if you dare to kneel!”
Simon wentpletely still. His body became numb. The joy in his eyes vanished in an instant,
reced by a tinge of gloom and mncholy.
Hmph! It appears that my guess was correct. Simon has arrived to ruin my party! Ivy pondered.
“Simon Albert...” A cool, trembling female voice spoke up from the side.
Dolly Kinder, President of Kinder Corporation, answered the phone. “Aren’t you going a little too far
with your joke, Mr. Albert?” Dolly knew that Simon had only seen Ivy as his world since the
beginning.
Dolly couldn’t stop herself at that point. Dolly Kinder, who had always kept her emotions hidden,
finally lost her cool. It was truly unexpected.
Simon was taken aback.
He paid no attention to Dolly. Her words fell on deaf ears, forcing Simon to purse his lips and speak
slowly under everyone’s burning gaze, “Happy birthday, Ivy. I wish you the best of luck.”
When he heard those words, Hades couldn’t help butugh. “Best of luck! Simon is quite thorough
in his birthday greetings, isn’t he?”
Cooper gave Hades a stern look, and Hades quickly shut his mouth.
Everyone patiently awaited what happened next. But nothing else happened!
Ivy epted the bouquet with a satisfied smile. “Thank you very much; I really appreciate this gift.”
Simon hung his head, his disappointment visible in his eyes.
Hades soon diverted everyone’s attention elsewhere.
Ivy took advantage of the situation by grabbing Simon’s sleeve and pulling him away. She didn’t
notice Dolly’s relieved yet frustrated eyes following them.
When they arrived in an empty room, Ivy let go of Simon’s arm. “Simon Albert, what were you
thinking?!?”
Simon Albert, who is usually frivolous, appeared sincere at this time.
Ivy’s reaction had clearly hurt his fragile heart. It was not, however, to the point of devastation. After
all, this was only the start! “All I wanted to do was surprise you!”
Unfortunately, Ivy detected what was going on and thwarted his n.
Today was a fantastic opportunity. What a shame.
“Surprise? You nearly scared the living daylights out of us!” Ivy crossed her arms and stared at him,
speechless.
Ivy didn’t have to be concerned because they were close friends. That’s why she was so direct. It
wasn’t a calcted attempt to make him look bad.
Simon’s desired oue, however, was impossible to achieve. Instead of wasting his time on Ivy,
Simon wished he could go back in time. Simon’szy and charming smile was captivating.
“You stopped me just in time, but I won’t be so obedient the next time.”
Ivy was immediately enraged by his words. “Albert, I’m not like any of your other e. Why are you so
obsessed with me?”
All of his exes were sweet, cute, and lovely. They werepletely unlike Ivy’s style! Was he looking
for a change of pace?
Simon paused briefly beforeughing. “How can those women stand up to you? They have never
moved me.”
Ivy was uninterested in hearing his spiel. It was not the right time. She motioned with her hand to
stop him. “Albert, I’m not interested in your love life. We’ve known each other for a long time. We

“You’re jealous!” Simon asserted himself confidently. His eyes shone brightly.
Ivy was rendered speechless. ‘How do I demolish his confidence without undermining his self-
esteem?’ Her hair was flipped back. “Ignore it. I’m going downstairs.”
But as soon as she turned around, she was dragged back. “Your zipper is unzipped.”
