Prologue:

Aegia Continent, Nation of Hoshino, Ryuga Capital Region
Year 1788, March 12th
In the blooming spring season in the Nation of Hoshino, the pink Sakura tree blossomed in all its beauty and glory. That day was also the birthday of the youngest and elegant Princess of Hoshino. The Month of March is a time every year the Lunar Blossom festival is celebrated nationwide. 12th March was the birthday of the Princess, Sakura Narukama of the royal family.
As the day progressed she got many gifts and well-wishes from her friends, family and her people. She was in a beautiful Pink Kimono representing the beautiful Sakura Blossoms and Kanzashi with a white flowers to represent the light of the Lunar crest. She looked absolutely stunning.
It was the evening as the moon was appearing amidst the disappearing dew of the sun. The dark sky was lit by the shining crescent, illuminating Sakura’s porcelain white skin and shining her green emerald eyes. As she walked outside the Palace boundaries and walls, many people saw her and were enthralled by her beauty. She made way to the Sakura Blossom Festival Zone with a few of her friends from Noble families who were close to the royal family.
Nonoa: “Sakura-san, What do you wish for your birthday and this Lunar Blossom festival”
Nonoa was a 17 year old girl part of the Noble families associated with the Narukama Royal Family, She was also of Sakura’s Age and her close friends.
Sakura: “I am not sure about it Nonoa-san……I will think about it…”
Emi: “What do you mean you will think about it? You have nothing in mind?”
Like Nonoa, Emi was also of Nobel family heritage and was also Sakura’s close friend but was a year younger.
As the 3 headed to the Festival area it was lit up with many lanterns around and with many shops and stalls selling their goods with a lively atmosphere . They then heard a cry for help and then suddenly the whole area was a chaos of people running away from something. Sakura, Nonoa and Emi were confused and anxious.
Sakura: “What''s going on!?”
Suddenly a huge green-blue lion-alien looking catastrophe creature was tearing up shops and causing huge havoc to the place. People were screaming for help, crying and the whole festive mood changed to doom and chaos.
The monster then saw Sakura and charged towards her. Sakura couldn''t do anything but stay still in fear, however someone shot the Monster and it flung to the side. Sakura awoke from her daze and looked at who shot the monster.
Blonde guy in a Black Coat and Suit: “Ladies! Leave! I will take care of this”
Sakura was a bit dazed from her initial shock, but Nonoa pulled her away while Emi ran away with the 2.
Blonde guy in a Black Coat and Suit: “Alright it''s time to deal with this Catastrophe menace causing chaos”
The Monster got up and roared at the Guy, The Guy was not a Hoshinese but a Foreign Diplomat-Trainee and Agent from Fornia for Euravian Leagues’s International Mission Committee. His name Callen Lorenzo
Callen: “You''re going down!” (Fires Shot at the Monster with Pistol)
The Monster groaned as the shots fired onto it, it charged at Callen but he used his grapple and dodged the attack. Callen kept firing shots at it while dodging the attacks elegantly with his esteemed agility.
Callen then saw a weak spot on the Monster’s back, then he took a nearby Hoshinese War Spear and used his grapple to get airtime and land a critical hit on the Monster’s weak spot, effectively defeating it. The Monster groaned as it collapsed….then its corpse withered away.
Callen: “heh…..that was a hard-time….Mama-Mia….”
From the Side some people and Sakura watched the fight, all amazed at the Foreigner’s amazing fighting skills. As Callen faces Sakura, his handsome face gleamed with his genuine smile, with his messy blonde hair waving in the air.
Sakura then felt something developing within her, Her heart beating rapidly at his appearance. She blushed and stared at him with awe, a deep desire and need growing within her.
Nonoa: “Sakura-san….You seem to be staring at him”
Sakura awoke from her daze and blushed hard like a tomato, but she found out what she was feeling and she was shocked but…accepting of her new found feelings. As the crowds dissipated, Sakura couldn''t help but run towards Callen.
Sakura: “Umm Hello?......Can we…we t-talk?”
Callen turned to look at Sakura with a surprised face, he was facing the Princess of the nation. Callen then bowed in respect suddenly.
Callen: “M-My Milady….I am sorry for being rude…..i am Callen Lorenzo working for the ELIMC, I am from Fornia”
Sakura: “N-No it''s fine….Please get up….I want to thank you for saving me….saving everyone…”
Callen: (Get up) “It''s no biggie, I was doing what i should”
Sakura: (Concerned) “Are you hurt? Let me check up on you”This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.
Callen blushed a little, A beautiful princess showing care for him was taking him off guard.
Callen: “No No it''s fine really-” (Sakura interrupted him and checked on him anyway)
Callen: (Shocked) “Milady! I said it was fine-”
Sakura: “Thank the lunar god you are not hurt ... .injuries are serious you know!” (She pouts, but it was cute)
Callen: (Blushes) “Ummm….Thank you…..Yes i will take Note”
Sakura’s heart was beating super fast, she was showing care for this foreigner who probably stole her heart. Him being close made her fall for him even more, she was already madly in-love with Callen and couldn''t even deny it.
Sakura: “Callen-San….can we meet again?” (She blushed)
Callen: “M-Meet? Did I hear it correctly?”
Sakura nodded, she looked away a little…hiding her blush.
Callen: “S-sure my Milady…as you wish…” (Blushes)
Sakura''s expression then beamed with happiness when she heard Callen agree to it. She then told him to meet in a private spot where they can hang out secretly. From there, the two’s relationship then went deeper intimately, creating a connection of unbreakable love between Princess and Foreign agent, a Forbidden Love.
Present Day
Year 1780, April 4th
In a grand, ornately decorated room within the palace, a beautiful princess with long, flowing black hair sat alone on her bed, illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight streaming through the window. Her eyes, filled with sorrow, glistened as she fought back tears. Tomorrow was to be her wedding day—a union arranged with a noble family close to the Hoshinese royal court. Yet, her heart yearned for someone else: a foreign diplomat from Fornia, a distant nation on the Euravia continent. She met him two years ago at the enchanting Lunar Blossom Festival, and from that moment, their hearts became intertwined in a secret romance forbidden by the xenophobic traditions of her homeland, despite its nominal membership in the Vanguard Global Alliance.
The youngest of four royal siblings, Sakura had always felt suffocated by her station. All she truly desired was freedom—freedom to choose her path, to love whom she wished, and to live without the constraints of duty and expectation. As she grappled with her despair, the faint sound of movement broke the silence. Startled, she turned towards the window to see a tall, blonde man, clad in a crisp suit and white capelet, standing casually on the sill.
“Oh my, my… Are you the beauty dating my younger brother?” he said, a playful smirk lighting his face.
“Who’s there?” Sakura demanded, rising to her feet, her voice a mix of fear and indignation.
The man stepped lightly into the room, offering a small bow. “My name is Callux,” he said smoothly. “I am the head captain of the Fornia Overseas Patrol Mission stationed in Hoshino. And yes, I’m Callen’s brother.”
Sakura’s eyes widened in shock. “Y-You’re Callen’s brother?” she stammered.
“Indeed, my lady,” Callux replied. “You two may believe your relationship is a closely guarded secret, but I’ve known about it for quite some time. And might I say,” he added with a wink, “it’s rather touching.”
Tears welled up in Sakura’s eyes, her carefully maintained composure unraveling. “I… I love him so much,” she admitted. “But this marriage… I hate it! I despise—”
“Why don’t you elope?” Callux interjected nonchalantly.
Sakura stared at him, stunned. “We tried,” she confessed. “But Callen was afraid… afraid for my well-being, as if I’d somehow manage without him!”
Callux chuckled. “Well, dear sister-in-law-to-be, that’s exactly why I’ve convinced him otherwise.”
At that moment, another blonde figure appeared beside Callux, this one shorter but no less striking. Sakura’s breath caught as she recognized him.
“Callen?” she whispered.
He stepped forward, his expression earnest. “Sakura,” he said softly, “I’m ready. If you want this… if you want us… then let’s go.”
Tears spilling over, Sakura ran to him, throwing her arms around his neck. “Please take me away from here!” she cried. “I don’t care about anything else. I just want to be with you!”
Callen held her tightly, his voice firm. “I will, Sakura. I promise.”
Callux clapped his hands. “Alright, lovebirds. Let’s not waste any more time. Callen, pick up your queen—princess style, if you please—and let’s grapple out of here.”
Without hesitation, Callen swept Sakura into his arms. She clung to him as he and Callux used grapples to descend silently from the palace and escape into the shadowed streets. Their destination was Ryuga Port, where a passenger ship would ferry them to safety.
As they reached the docks under the cover of night, Callux handed Callen a pouch containing money and forged visa tickets. “Take these,” he said. “The ship will take you to Temasek in Eastern Aegia. I’ll meet you there in three days. Until then, stay hidden.”
Sakura looked at him with tearful gratitude. “Thank you, Callux. Truly… I will never forget this.”
Onboard the ship, the couple secured an empty cabin where they could remain unseen for the journey. In the quiet intimacy of their room, the weight of their decision began to sink in. Sakura leaned against Callen, her head on his shoulder, as they shared a moment of reflection.
Breaking the silence, Callen took her hand. “Sakura… do you want to be my wife?”
Her heart skipped a beat. Tears of joy filled her eyes as she gazed up at him. “Y-Yes,” she whispered. “More than anything.”
He smiled, relief and love evident in his eyes. “Then we’ll build our life together,” he said. “In Temasek, where my mother’s journey began, we’ll start our own chapter.”
Snuggling closer, Sakura sighed contentedly. “Temasek… it sounds like a beautiful place. I can’t wait to make it our home.”
After a moment, she looked up at him, her cheeks pink. “Callen… how many children do you think we’ll have?”
He chuckled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “As many as you want, my princess.”
Sakura’s eyes sparkled. “I want a big family… six kids!” she declared eagerly, imagining the life ahead.
Laughing, Callen pulled her close. “Anything for you,” he said warmly. And as the ship sailed towards freedom, they held each other, their hearts full of hope for the future they would build together.
