Sun Hu was in the middle of talking when he looked up and saw Xia Xin standing there, staring at him. He paused and then turned to Jing MO, “Are you two living together? That escted quickly!”
Sun Hu’s voice grew louder, and Jing MO just rolled his eyes at him.
Xia Xin calmly exined, “No, I’m just staying temporarily.”
Xia Xin then briefly recounted the situation, and although Sun Hu understood, he still gave Jing MO a meaningful look and said, in a drawn-out tone, “Oh, just staying temporarily. I see. You called me over early in the morning just to help you out of this predicament.”
Xia Xin started to feed Sun Hu some ttery. She said, “But mainly because
your PR skills are exceptional. You’re a well-known talent agent in the industry. Even someone like me, who doesn’t pay much attention to the entertainment circle, knows your name. Who else could I turn to for help in this matter?”
Compliments were music to anyone’s ears, especially Sun Hu’s. When he heard someone praising him, he became all proud, flipping his hair and saying, “Well, that’s true. It’s hard to find another outstanding talent agent like me in the entertainment industry. You can leave this matter to me.”
After his boast, he suddenly felt something wasn’t right. He spoke with a ferocious tone, “You two, no wonder you can get along so well, both experts at manipting people! Jing MO, how did you manage to turn Xia Xin, who used to be such a quiet and sensible girl, into this?”
Jing MO casually remarked, “This is her true nature.”
Sun Hu was speechless. He thought, ‘Is it toote to run away now?’
Jing MO retrieved three bottles of drinks from the fridge, and everyone sat down on the couch to brainstorm.
After Sun Hu briefly analyzed the situation, he said, “Theizens are going crazy, and they’ll definitely flood the social media tforms of your TV drama and variety show with negativements. The directors will most likely cut all your scenes from all of it.”
Xia Xin frowned and said, “I don’t mind all that. I’m just angry about being falsely used, and I don’t want Wu Jia and Wan Wan to be too smug. I want them to know that I’m not easy to mess with!”
Sun Hu drank most of his drink before saying, “Don’t me me for being a downer, but you’re in a situation where everyone is against you. Unless you can provide evidence to prove that Wu Jia’s usations are false, you’ll have to swallow your pride. Do you really expect Wan Wan or Wu Jia to issue a statement telling the truth? That’s wishful thinking.”
‘Telling the truth themselves?’ Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in Xia Xin’s head. She had the Enchanted Puppet; she could control both of them and make them apologize through online videos. That would solve the problem!
Xia Xin pped her forehead with her palm, wondering, ‘Why didn’t I think of this sooner. What a waste of time!’
However, Xia Xin didn’t know if she could use the Enchanted Puppet remotely. If she couldn’t it would be a bummer.
While everyone fell into contemtive silence, Xia Xin excused herself and said, “You guys think about it. I’m going to change my clothes.”
In her room, Xia Xin immediately essed the system to check if she could use the Enchanted Puppet remotely.
The system replied.
The Enchanted Puppet can be used remotely, but based on your current stamina and control abilities, the maximum remote distance is fifty meters.
Xia Xin’s mood fluctuated greatly with that information. Her stamina was already at eighty points, and she could only control the Enchanted Puppet remotely up to fifty meters. She wondered how much it would take to achieve full remote control.
Xia Xin decided it wasn’t important now; the key was that she needed to meet with Wan Wan and Wu Jia in person. With the n in mind, she joined the others in the living room.
Sun Hu, however, was still looking at Jing MO with a meaningful expression. He asked, “Come clean now, what’s going on between you and Xia Xin?” Jing MO gave Sun Hu a sidelong nce and remained silent.
Sun Hu didn’t expect Jing MO to tell the truth; he continued with his spection, “I’ve never seen you so concerned about any girl before. You’re a guy who has OCD, remember? I tried convincing you to live together, but you wouldn’t even consider it back then. Now you’re letting Xia Xin stay with you; there’s definitely something going on!”
Jing MO rolled his eyes again and said, “Do you think you two are the same? You are a man, Xia Xin is a girl, she has no ce to go, of course I have to take her in.”
Sun Hu didn’t believe Jing MO one bit.. He thought, ‘This guy was saying one thing but probably thinking another; he thought he could fool me with his words!’
