Luo Feng tentatively spoke the sentence, only to be met by Su Meiji’s dismissive nce. He decided not to say anything more, but felt hopeful that he might kiss her at some point, and that she would reciprocate.
In high spirits after their meal, Luo Feng led the team forward, bypassing a small valley and arriving in front of a range of low hills. His eyes lit up immediately. “This is a great ce!”
“Wow! Finally! I’ve been waiting for this familiar line. He’s finally found something worthwhile! ”
“This sentence makes me feel a little uneasy.”
“Could it be another site with imperial-level fengshui?”
“Has the host finally left leave the mass burial sites behind and arrived at a good ce?”
“Quick, arrange another mass burial for the host, and make him retire on the spot! ”
Luo Feng took another look at the low hills andughed. “This really is a good ce, I’m not lying to you all! Surrounded by water on three sides…”
He went on to exin something that many people could not understand, including the attentive Su Meiji, who scratched her ear in confusion. All he needed to say was that the fengshui was good, and what level of good fengshui it was. There was no need to borate further, as doing so made him sound as if he were reading from mysterious ancient texts.
“There must be ancient tombs here!” Luo Feng dered confidently, looking at the dense pine forest in the hills.
They hade across many ces with good fengshui during their journey, but none with ancient tombs. However, even without scanning, Luo Feng knew that there must be a tomb here, and it had to be a substantial one.
“Are you sure this time, host?” someone asked.
“We’ve seen so many good fengshui ces all these days, but none of them had ancient tombs, right?”
“Is the fengshui good at Kongming’s altar too?”
Luo Fengughed and shook his head. “What kind of fengshui is there at Kongming’s altar? There’s no way this ce can possiblypare to it! However, the main point is that while you can’t bury anyone there, you can bury people here!”
He pointed to the distant pine forest and said, “Do you know? That pine forest over there was nted by the descendants of the tomb’s owner!”
“Luo Feng, how did you deduce that?” Qin Rubing handed him a bottle of mineral water and asked curiously.
“With knowledge of fengshui, you can see that theyout here has been artificially altered!” Luo Feng exined. “Thebination of that pine forest and the fengshui here is a ssic example of the immortal mountain’s fortune. The surrounding mountains and pines grow well, bringing prosperity, rank, longevity, happiness, and wealth – all five blessingsbined. People and descendants thrive, and the air of fortune lingers for a long time. This is truly a blessednd!”
“So, it’s not excessive to say that it was altered by descendants, right?”
“And if it was altered by descendants, then there must be ancient tombs here!”
After hearing Luo Feng’s exnation, Qin Rubing was left pondering. Su Meiji, on the other hand, nodded in agreement, having full faith in Luo Feng’s words.
“If there are ancient tombs here…”
Luo Feng subconsciously looked back at the mass burial sites. Were they sacrificial pits or the tomb builders’ resting ce? They were unlikely to be sacrificial pits, as the Ming Dynasty did not have such a system. However, it was unclear if there were any private burials during that time. The distance between the sites seemed too far, so it probably was not the case. After all, sacrificial pits were usually within the tomb structure or just outside it. If they were truly the tomb builders’ resting ce, that would make more sense. The puzzle that had troubled them for over ten days seemed to be unraveling atst.
“Scan the area!” Luo Fengmanded.
Once the scanning wasplete, Luo Feng found numerous treasure points densely clustered together. It appeared to be a genuine ancient tomb.
Luo Feng was able to determine that it was a Ming Dynasty tomb, and not an imperial tomb, as most of the Ming imperial tombs had already been discovered. Although the fengshui was good, it was still not on par with that of an imperial tomb.
After digging for an hour, they found a jade piece from the Tang Dynasty, which was valued at 900,000.
“Wow! The Tang Dynasty? I thought it was from the Ming Dynasty!” someone eximed.
Luo Feng squatted down to examine the jade piece. “This is a burial essory!” He did not borate further and continued digging.
[ Ding! Tang Dynasty copper coin! Worth 50,000! ]
As he stared at the coin, Luo Feng’s smile gradually turned stiff.
Typically, people used copper coins from their own dynasty as burial essories. If it were a Ming Dynasty tomb, it should have contained Ming Dynasty copper coins.
He went on to discover a silver ingot from the Tang Dynasty, valued at 3 million, and even a Tang Dynasty corpse worth 2,400.
Upon thistest discovery, Luo Feng stopped digging. With the discovery of the
Tang Dynasty corpse, he reconsidered his conclusion: this was probably a
Tang Dynasty tomb. Although they had found numerous Tang Dynasty artifacts, one could argue that they were antiques used as burial essories by someone from the Ming Dynasty. However, it was highly improbable that a person from the Ming Dynasty would use a Tang Dynasty corpse for the same purpose.
Upon reflection, the Ming Dynasty mass burial sites seemed unrted to the current tomb they had just discovered..
