Dear diary,
The heartbeats gone quiet. I don''t like it.
Bitsy took me to see the cocoon today, to see if it would react to me, and it did. When I came close to it the whispers became so disorientating I fainted. I dreamt of mom, and the house, our house. Before daddy died, before mommy left, and before Goodman took me away. I was listening to the baby in mommy''s tummy. It had the same rhythm as that cocoon. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
thump thump, thump thump.
Two beats, a pause and repeat. The baby would kick and mommy''s tummy would stretch. She would groan in pain and push me away.
I didn''t like the baby.
Love,
Tina
