Penelope sprained her ankle, forcing her to take a break for half a month. This seriously bummed out
Gavin.
Gavin was a fresh–faced director who had been in the business for over a decade. He had directed two
shows that did pretty well in both reviews and ratings. This time, he had set his sights on a modern
drama about corporate wars and affluent families.
Originally. Le, who had gained fame through a period drama, was cast as the lead. Along with Aaron,
and Gunner, a popr celeb, they made the show
a hot topic.
However, against all odds, Epic Entertainment threw Penelope into the mix.
Penelope was the fiancée of Lucian from the Lindberg Corporation and the future head of Epic
Entertainment Nobody dared to cross her.
Luckily, the show was an original, so the script could be altered on the fly So, the original single lead
female drama turned into a dual lead female drama.
Even though the character De was not well developed, she had a ton of screen time.
To appease Le and quell the controversy. Epic Entertainment offered her the lead role in a new
period drama, which Le begrudgingly epted. So Le had to juggle this drama and prepare for the
uing period show.
As for Aaron, he was already loaded with resources and awards, and he was only doing this show to
repay a favor to a producer. He was a special guest

He didn’t have much screen time, and his shooting schedule onlysted a month. In the end, his
rtionship with Le in the show was left open–ended.
Gavin was seriously stressed out.
Not only did Penelope sprain her ankle, dying the schedule, Gavin also had to apologize to the folks
at Epic Entertainment.
The assistant director came over and asked, ‘Gavin, what should we do with Penelope’s scenes?”
Gavin frowned and said, “Let’s focus on shooting Le and Aaron’s scenes for now. Well shoot
Penelope’s scenes when her ankle gets better. Oh, and find a few body doubles. We can shoot them
from behind or the side”
The assistant director had an idea, “Gavin, what about Allison fromst time?”
Gavin, stroking his goatee, looked at the assistant director as if deep in thought, “That waitress does
look a lot like her.”
‘Exactly. From certain angles, their body shapes and heights are almost identical. We can just give
Allison some makeup, and the audience won’t be able to tell. The assistant director said.
That’s a good idea” Gavin said.
“Yeah, Penelope never takes her acting seriously. She’s a terrible actress, and she always ad libs and
adds her own scenes. And this dy is too long. We cant afford to waste the other actors‘ time. We
might as well let Allison stand in The assistant director said.
Gavin nodded, “We don’t have any other choice.”
In one of the private rooms, a customer vomited. Allison helped the cleaner clean up the room.
The stain on the carpet was pretty big, but it wasn’t the whole thing. She calcted the bill and sent it
to the front desk, then apanied the and his assistant downstairs to pay thepensation.
After the customer left, Allison asked, “Also, a few days ago, I found a bracelet in room 506. Has
anyone imed it?”
‘A bracelet? What kind of bracelet?” The front desk staff looked up and asked.
Allison frowned a bit, “Nothing?”

Allison returned to room 506, where udia was still cleaning the coffee table. She clearly found a
bracelet and asked udia to deliver it to the front desk.
She closed the door behind her and walked over to the window. The room was filled with the smell of
disinfectant and the recent vomit, making her ufortable.
She opened the window, then said softly, “udia, you do know the rules here at the Red Jack Club,
don’t you?”
