Chapter 2: Valeron Village
Upon waking up this time, i had a headache.
So i stood up and took a look at my surroundings.
It seems LandFall teleported me in some sort of grassland nearby a forest .
I also noticed that nearby the place where i was lying, there was a sack.
So when i opened it, i found some clothes, a sealed envelope, and a small pouch at the bottom wich contained gold coins.
I opened the letter ;
" If you are reading this, it means that my teleportation was a success! although there was only a 50% chance that it will fail and that you will die an horribly painful death , it''s still good news ! hahahahaha.... "
WHAT?! THAT A**H***!!! He never warned me about the possibility of failure!!!!
I maddly clenched my fists for a second, and continued reading...
" ... well enough of that. I said i will teleport you the closest possible to my son, he is currently living with my wife Elsa in Valeron village. It''s 2 miles north of your position.
If i remember correctly, that woman ....euuh hemm.... my wife was the owner of the guild''s tavern . Anyway just ask some passerby and he will indicate you the way..."
wow ... that''s some respect for the woman he loves...
" Ah one last thing! Don''t forget to show her the ring i gave you, she will know what to do after that. Well good luck!

At that last sentence, i blushed a little and quickly teared the letter apart ....
I carefully inspected my surroundings, then i undressed and changed to the clothes that were in the bag, they looked like casual clothes that an adventurer would wear.
The sun was still clear in the sky, thus, i began my journey to the north...

After walking 10 miles to the north, i finally arrived at Valeron Village.
That liar... 2 miles? i shouldn''t have trusted his words back then ...
At the village''s gate, i came across two gards.
One of the gards noticed me , he then raised his hallebarde towards me and said with a loud voice.
" HALT. I don''t recognize you, who are you? "
Tsss... and here i thought that i would blend with those people entering ....
I replied with a joyful expression
" Hello mister, i''m an adventurer who came from the south. "

For an instant, he carefully inspected my figure, and then said

I then entered the village.
Valeron village wasn''t exactly like i suspected. It wasn''t protected by any walls, so it seemed vulnerable.
Only 2 gards were stationned at the village''s gate where i passed.
On the inside, the village was quite lively.
As i walked in the narrow road, masses of people were passing by, most of them went to the market place.
Since i wasn''t pressed or anything like that, i went there to take a look.
Suddenly i hear loud voices in the air
In the lively crowd, a shop owner shouted loudly in an attempt to attract customers. Elderly housewives and merchants haggled over the price of fresh ingredients and items.
" Orc''s Skin For Sale!!! 200 silver coins each!!! "
" i want 2 skins! "
" Hey look there ! that guy is selling the blue rose petal ! "
" Blue rose Petal! good for making intermediate potions!! 1 gold coin each!!

Leasurly walking through the crowd, i directed my attention to some vegetables in a stand.
I asked the old seller with a sweet voice.
" Hey mister, how much for these vegetables? "
" 30 silver coins per unit for cabbage , 45 silver coins per gram for the onions..... etc "
" I''ll take this ......... and that please "
I then took 1 gold coin out of my pouch and gave it to him.
" Here is your change young lady "
I put the silver coins in my pouch and the vegetables in my sack , then i went to exit this crowded place.

After some detours, i asked a villager the direction to the tavern''s guild.
He kindly showed me the way, and then left.
As i was opening the door, i heard some fight sound inside.....
" You damnable kid ! I''m gonna punch that face of yours today until you wish that you weren''t born ! "
" Quit boasting old man ! you''ll have to catch me if you can hahahaha ....."
