Chapter 263
Izabe was gone, she left.
Brett sorted out all his thoughts before realizing that Izabe had nned to leave him from the
beginning.
First, she signed the surgery agreement to make him rx his guard, then she used his guilt to
make him stay away from her for the following week. After that, she took advantage of his rxation
and left.
Brett never thought Izabe would leave him like this. She had amnesia, her nerves weren''t
recovered yet, and she was pregnant and penniless.
Who else did she know besides him?
Brett hung up the phone and walked straight out of the meeting room, leaving Liam in charge of the
work.
Brett grabbed his car keys and headed straight for the parking lot. His hands were shaking when he
opened the car door. He sat in the car and dialed Izabe.
"Sorry, the mobile you have dialed is switched off."
Brett''s breathing stopped hearing this response, and his heart turned ice-cold. It was as if the
coldness in the voice seeped into his blood and reached his heart.
He was afraid of Izabe leaving him, and even more afraid of something happening to her. With
pregnancy and sickness, where could she go? Did she take her medicine?
And would she go to the hospital and find out she had stomach cancer, thereby regaining her
memory?
Various spections appeared in his brain, each of them making him scared.
The name Izabe kept spinning in Brett''s head, like a blunt knife stabbing in, stirring his brain into a
mess.
The car windows were fogged up due to the rain the night before, making the outside view hazy.
Brett rolled down the window and turned on the windshield wiper to clear the ss.
The air was filled with a strong dampness. Brett drove back to the vi, and everything was the
same as usual. Nothing changed.
Lunch was set on the dining table, with Adrian, Katie, Tiara, and even the cat present. Everything
seemed normal.
Brett rushed upstairs, and the bedroom door was wide open. Izabe was already gone.
No one in the vi knew when Izabe left.
Tiara and Katie went shopping, and Adrian was called away for a while. The surveince system
was being repaired.

It was during this time that Izabe left.
The surveince system was fixed now, but it didn''t help because there was no footage of Izabe''s
departure.
Brett scanned the bedroom and realized that Izabe took a few items of clothing and two pieces of
jewelry, but nothing else.
Her departure was so quiet that it took Brett a while toe to terms with it.
Brett checked his phone and saw a text message about withdrawing 30,000 dors. The small digit
was barely noticeable among the other messages.
Brett called people to check various stations, airports, and other ces for information about
Izabe while personally essing the nearby surveince cameras. Because he knew the
approximate time, he quickly found Izabe''s figure. He watched as Izabe, with disheveled hair
and a mask, went to a nearby bank to withdraw money, and then she disappeared.
The whole person just disappeared in the crowd. By the time someone investigated the train station
records, Brett had already gone through recent videos from the vi, starting from the day he left.
He saw Izabe standing behind the curtains, watching him leave and silently mouthing something.
The video was quite clear, and he could tell that she was saying "see you"
Brett''s heart tasted bitter. Weren''t they going to meet again? Why was she gone when he came
back?
Brett''s eyes turned sour, and his heart felt as if it had been filled with lead, sinking continuously.
He stared at the screen with bloodshot eyes, his hand holding the mouse trembling incessantly. He
saw Izabe crouching on the ground, covering her face. She cried heartbreakingly with her frail
shoulders shaking violently.
He could clearly feel Izabe''s reluctance, but why did she leave him if she was so sad? Was it
because she dreamed of Ryker or was it because she was afraid he would abort her baby?
Maybe it was both.
Now that Izabe had amnesia, she seemed to have be timid and didn''t like interacting with
the outside world. How desperate must she have been to leave him?
The surveince footage was notprehensive. Some areas, such as the bed and bathroom,
were not visible due to privacy.
After watching this section, Brett stopped and turned off theputer. He started asking if there
was any information about Izabe.
When he thought of Izabe being pregnant and trembling in an unfamiliar ce, a certain part of
his heart felt as if it had been shattered by something.
Furthermore, the thought of her experiencing a stomach cancer attack, vomiting blood, copsing,
encountering bad people, and enduring a series of tragic situations made Brett''s scalp numb with
anxiety, to the point where he didn''t even dare to take a deep breath.
It wasn''t until five in the afternoon that Brett learned Izabe had gone to A City.
It took eight hours by train from J City to A City, and now Izabe was almost there. Brett booked
the earliest flight to A City.
But A City was not like J City; it had poor security and a mixed poption. If someone wanted to
hide there, finding her would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Liam was in charge of looking for Izabe''s whereabouts. A professional sent him a video of the
train station, where a familiar figure was hidden among the crowd. After a while, she raised her
head and spoke in the direction of the camera.
At night, Liam forwarded the video to Brett.
Brett could make out what Izabe was saying. She said, "I''m leaving."
Her expression was calm, without a trace of sadness.
Just two days had changed her so much, from the initial painful "see you" to the calm "I''m leaving."
Facing the camera, it was clear that she had expected him to find her trail and was using her
actions to prove she wanted to break free from his control.
No matter how much Brett didn''t want to admit it, he had to ept that Izabe had escaped from
him.
It was ironic. Izabe hadn''t left him even when he had pushed her so hard before her amnesia.
Now that he loved her wholeheartedly after her amnesia, she had left.
Where could Izabe be in A City?
Izabe was super smart. When she arrived in A City, she took all sorts of public transport, hopping
from one to another. She bought a map and a pen from a roadside vendor and drew lines to figure
out how to get from one ce to another.
When she finally reached a remote small town and settled down, Izabe let out a sigh of relief. She
had been bumping around these days and felt like her bones were about to fall apart.
These past few days, she had been surviving on sheer willpower. Pregnant and weak, she had a
tough time on the crowded and smelly buses in the small town. She either had to stand or sit in the
veryst seat.
With so many people, Izabe was worried about pickpockets, so she didn''t dare to close her eyes
and rest on the bus.
