    Yanis tidied up the things on the table and then looked at Linda. "You guessed right!"


    Linda was shocked when she heard Yanis'' words, but then sheughed. "Wow, our boss is finally


    getting married! It''s not easy!"


    Yanis couldn''t help butugh and said, "If you say that in front of your boss, she might dock your pay!"


    "Yanis, our boss can do anything, but she can''t dock our pay!" Linda had been working with Bonnie


    since Bonnie opened her studio years ago and naturally understood her well.


    Yanis didn''t tease her since Linda seemed so sure of herself. Instead, he asked: "Where is it?"


    "At Kaylin Hotel."


    "Okay," Yanis nodded. "Let''s go. I''ll drive; you wait for me at the entrance."


    Because it was hot outside, Yanis parked his car in the back parking lot to avoid overheating.

    The second floor was arge banquet hall specifically used for weddings or otherrge events.


    "It''s so big here; will they use all of it?" Yanis asked after looking at the banquet hall briefly.


    "Yes," Linda replied. "The groom has arge family while there are also many people on the bride''s


    side as well; so basically this whole area needs to be used."


    The three of them worked hard all afternoon before finally nning everything out.


    "I''m exhausted," said Linda as she sat down ungracefully on the ground. "Stanley take over for me


    while I catch my breath."


    Although there was air conditioning in their car during their trip here from work earlier today; after


    working hard like this for an hour or two they were still sweating profusely.


    Stanley looked at Linda''s face before saying: "I''m also done for now - let me rest."


    Linda turned to look at Yanis: "Aren''t you tired?"


    Wiping off his sweat with his handkerchief Yanish replied: "Not really – if I get too tired we cane


    back tomorrow."


    Upon hearing what he said Lindas quickly agreed by nodding her head vigorously saying :"Tomorrow!

    When they leftter that day outside temperatures hadn''t dropped much yet either.


    "You guys wait here; I''ll go get my car," said Yanish seeing how exhausted everyone else seemed


    before heading off alone towards where he parked earlier downstairs where it would be cooler than


    upstairs near hotel entrance parking spots which were more exposed to direct sunlight heat-wise .


    As soon as he found his car downstairs however someone suddenly tapped him on his shoulder just as


    he got into driver seat readying himself to leave…Yanis froze and turned to look at the man in front of


    her. "Miss Thompson?"


    Yanis looked at the stranger in front of her, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "Who are you?"


    The man smiled at Yanis. "Hello, I''m Ken."


    Yanis looked at the hand that Ken extended towards her but did not shake it. "I don''t think we know


    each other."


    Ken shrugged off Yanis'' reluctance to shake his hand. "That''s okay, we can get to know each other


    by chatting a bit more. So Miss Thompson, how about we go somewhere else to talk?"


    Yanis took a step back from Ken with caution. "It''s not very convenient right now."


    Ken looked at Yanis and said teasingly, "Don''t you want to know if Zane has betrayed you or not?"


    "I trust him," replied Yanis.


    Kenughed out loud and said mockingly, "You really are naive... a little cute though."


    As he spoke, Ken reached out his hand towards Yanis but she avoided it quickly and warned him


    sternly: "Mr. Huo please behave yourself!"


    Kellen''s hand remained suspended mid-air for a moment before he withdrew it casually as if nothing


    had happened: "If Miss Thompson doesn''t want us to change location then let''s just chat here."


    Just as Yanis was about to speak up, her phone rang suddenly.


    Since she had been holding onto it all this while so she saw who was calling immediately on the screen


    - Zane.


    Before she could answer however, Kellen snatched the phone from her hands first and answered


    instead: "Mr. Lawrence, this is Kellen speaking."


    Zane''s voice came through with angerced in his tone when he heard Kellen''s voice over the phone


    line:"If you dare touch her, I won''t let you off easily!"


    Looking over at Yanis, Kellen smiled before replying smoothly,"Mr. Lawrence, is that supposed be


    some kind of threat?"


    "We''ll settle our business between us two, you stay away from her!"


    "Mr. Lawrence, your words don''t seem quite appropriate. You didn''t think our business involved others


    when they were helping your cause, right?"


    With that, Kellen paused briefly before continuing,"I''m just having a chat with Miss Thompson. I won''t


    do anything bad. If you''re worried, you cane down now. We''re waiting for you in Kaylin Hotel


    underground car park"


    After hanging up, the American-born trantor turned back towards Yannis once again."Miss.


    Thompson, could we continue our conversation now?"Yanis stared at Ken for a few seconds. "My


    friends are still waiting outside, I''ll take them back and then you can give me an address and I''lle


    find you, or you can wait here for me."


    Ken smiled. "Okay, I''ll go with you and we can pick a better ce to chat."


    Yanis saw that Ken didn''t n on letting her leave alone, so she let him get in the car.


    Linda had originally nned to sit in the passenger seat but was startled when she opened the door


    and saw Ken sitting there. "Yanis, is this...?"


    "Get in the car first, I''ll take you guys back." Yanis didn''t answer Linda''s question but signaled for her to


    get in.


    Linda nodded and closed the door before sitting with Stanley in the backseat.


    Yanis dropped off Linda and Stanley at their studio before driving away.


    "Where does Mr. Huo want to talk?"


    "You choose a ce while telling Zane so he doesn''t think I did anything to you," Ken said calmly.


    Yanis drove them to Bookish Cafe in city center. After parking the car, she looked at Ken. "Can Mr.


    Huo give me his phone now?"


    Ken handed Yanis her phone when he heard her request. "Go ahead."


    When Yanis dialed Zane''s number, he answered quickly on his end of things: "Yanis?"


    "We''re over by Bookish Cafe."


    Zane had just arrived near Kaylin Hotel with Albi when he heard Yanis'' words; they immediately


    changed direction towards Bookish Cafe which was still some distance away from where they were


    "Don''t be alone with him; go somewhere crowded! Don''t worry; I''ming soon!" Zane sounded


    anxious over the phone.


    "Okay," Yanis murmured before hanging up after saying that she would wait for him there while asking


    him not drive too fast as well since it would be dangerous if something happened along their way there


    togetherter on due to speeding or reckless driving habits of any kind whatsoever!


    Pushing open her car door without another word exchanged between herself & Kellen who got out of


    his side too - both walked into Bookish Cafe together whereupon Yanin chose a window seat without


    acknowledging Kellen''s presence beside her as if nothing else mattered except getting through this
