Chapter 668: Are You Doing This For The Johnson Family?
Chapter 668: Are you doing this for the Johnson family?
After hearing Zane''s inquiry, Finnley whispered, "It''s not necessary, but since Ken wants to do it, let
him."
Zane nodded and said, "Okay. You take care of that side of things."
Finnley replied with an acknowledgment. "But I think Ken might have a backup of that photo. What
are you going to tell your sister-inw?"
Upon hearing Finnley''s words, Zane instinctively looked at Yanis'' face and said softly, "I''ll exin
everything to her."
Finnley responded with another acknowledgment. "Alright then. Let me know if you need any help."
Zane made a sound of agreement before hanging up the phone.
"What''s wrong? Haven''t you resolved things on your end yet?" Yanis asked after Zane hung up.
Zane shook his head gently and took Yanis'' hand in his own before saying quietly, "No."
After responding to Yanis'' question, Zane fell silent for a few seconds as he tried to figure out how he
was going to exin what had happened in West City earlier that day.
However, he couldn''te up with anything suitable after thinking about it for a while.
So instead of continuing to dwell on it, Zanegave up tryingto find the right words because at this
moment, Yanis'' phone rang again. This time, it was Iris calling once more. Yanispickedupthe cand
putit on speakerphone like before,"Iris?"
"I have some news over here. I will bring Anika back safely," Iris said when she heard Yanis'' voice.
"Did Anna contact you first?" Yanis asked upon hearing Iris'' voice.
"Yes, she did. I''m heading over there now. You don''t need Myles or anyone else," Iris replied
confidently.
"Can you go alone? Or do we need toe along too?"
"No, I can handle it. She told me only one person is allowed or Anika might be in danger," Iris exined
firmly.
After listening carefullyto whatIris hadsaid, Yanistooka quick nceatZanesfacebefore saying,"Be
careful. Whenyou get there, give us your location."
"I will,"Iris answeredbefore hangingupthephone.

the screen, but sawthatitwasfromManchesCity. Zane hesitated for a few seconds before answering the
phone. "Who is this?" he asked.
"It''s Ken," came the voice on the other end, with a hint of amusement. "Did Mr. Lawrence have a
good afternoon today?"
As soon as Zane heard Ken''s voice, his face darkened and he gently squeezed Yanis'' hand before
letting go and standing up to walk away. As he walked, he spoke in a low voice, "I don''t know when I
ever crossed you."
Zane and Ken had never had any dealings with each other before. After all, one was always in West
City and didn''t venture into the city much while Zane rarely went over to West City except for some
coborations. They were supposed to be people who had nothing to do with each other.
But now they were suddenly entangled without warning.
"Mr. Lawrence seems forgetful of important people," Ken said again with a smile in his voice. "Since
Mr. Lawrence can''t remember, let me remind him."
Zane remained silent and waited for Ken''s next words.
"The Johnson family," said Ken.
As soon as Zane heard these words from Ken, he instantly understood what was going on: "So you
bought that piece ofnd in West City at such a high price just to help out the Johnson family?"
Ken chuckled: "Mr. Lawrence, let''s be precise about our words here; I''m not interested in the
Johnson family at all - I only care about those whom I want to care about."
With that statement from Kellen, Zan understood that this was all because of Anna.
Thinking about it, Zan couldn''t help but sneer:"Huo is really interesting - spending so much money just
for someone who doesn''t even love him back; truly admirable."
Kellen didn''t take offense at Zan''s sarcasm:"Mr. Lawrence should worry more about himself first. I''ve
heard that you put in tremendous effort into coaxing your wife back. If Miss Thompson finds out what
you did this afternoon, I''m sure you know what will happen, right?"
Kellen''s blunt words hit home. Zan couldn''t help but think back on what happened earlier today.
Regardless if it actually happened or not, Kellen''s photos would certainly prove something... If Ken
gave Yanis those photos, Zane felt like he might never be forgiven in his lifetime.
Ken chuckled at Zane''s silence. "Mr. Lawrence, as long as you don''t touch Anna, I won''t show those
photos to Miss Thompson. After all, it''s normal for men to have personal hobbies."
"She took my sister away."
Ken was unaware of what Anna had done, so when he heard Zane say this, he was clearly
confused. "Who took your sister away?"
"Anna."
After a few seconds of silence from Ken, he spoke up again. "I''ll have someone bring your sister
back to you but I hope Mr. Lawrence will leave the Johnson family alone from now on and not harm her
again."
"I want to see my sister and make sure she''s okay."
"Okay."
After saying that Ken hung up the phone.
As soon as Ken hung up the phone, Zane turned around and met Yanis'' worried gaze.
Zane froze for a few seconds before walking towards Yanis and saying: "Yanis let''s go back first."
Yanis looked at him with concern: "Are you feeling unwell?"
Zane shook his head: "No."
Zane led Yanis out of the hospital: "Where''s your car?"
"It''s over there," said Yanis but she didn''t give him the keys since she noticed that something seemed
off with him.
Zane didn''t say anything; he just nodded quietly.
Yanis wanted to ask what was wrong but stopped herself before any words came out.
The two left the hospital and drove straight towards D-king Castle.
Halfway through their drive, Zane suddenly spoke up: "Yanis pull over."
Upon hearing this, Yanis turned on her signal light and pulled over by the side of road after stopping
her car safely. Zanesaid:"There is something I want to talk about with you, Yanise"

"What is it?" asked Yanise
Zanesearched for his words several times before speaking because every time hesitated when tryingto
speak. He wasn''t sure how exactlyhe should express himself. Yanisdidn''t push him, she just sat quietly
waiting for himto speakup onhis own ord. Time passed by slowly, and just as Yanniswas about
readyto return home, Zanespokeup first:
"Yannis, I haven''t done anything wrong againstyou."As Zane made his way down the street, he tried to
recall everything that had happened earlier that afternoon. He was certain he hadn''t touched those two
women.
