Chapter 608: Marriage Ties, Children Will Follow

Freddy nodded, "So you guys aren''t nning on getting married yet?"

Bonnie shook her head, "No, we just haven''t decided. We want to take it step by step."

Freddy was quick to respond, "Well then, why not get engaged first? Pick a good day for the

engagement and then pick another good day for the wedding. What''s there to n?"

Bonnie hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "Dad, that''s a little too rushed."

Freddy looked at Bonnie and analyzed the situation before saying, "Rushed? You''re already in your

mid-twenties. Myles is older than you, right? You''re thirty and still taking things slowly, it''ll be forty

before you know it. Do you n on having kids when you''re forty or fifty?"

    Bonnie was speechless.

"Are you here to pressure me into marriage?" Bonnie asked Freddy, "Most fathers hope their daughters

to stay home longer, but here I am being pressured into marrying quickly."

Freddy let out an exmation,"I''m not pressuring anyone! This is alling from..." He stopped mid-

sentence, realizing that he had said too much. "No, you''re old enough to get married."

Bonnie said calmly as she realized that Freddy had been sent by Old Cooke as his messenger, "Dad,

did Grandpa send you here to talk about this with me?"

Freddy didn''t hide anything anymore since everything was already out in the open, so he admitted it

    truthfully.

"Marriage will happen and children will be born, but we want to do things at our own pace, if that makes

    sense."

Freddy nodded his head after hearing what Bonnie had said earlier ,"Okay, I''ll go back and tell your

grandpa that you two are going to marry each other eventually, but just give you some time."

Bonnie agreed with him ,"That sounds reasonable."

Freddyughed lightly before bing serious again , "Although what I said earlier wasn''t entirely

from your grandpa, I also have the same idea, but I will respect whatever decision y''all make."

"I understand, I''ll discuss this with Myles," replied Bonnie.

After several seconds of silence, Bonnie looked at Freddy again, "How about... we get engaged first, so

Grandpa can feel more at ease?"

Upon hearing what she had suggested, Fredyy agreed wholeheartedly,"I think that''s a great idea! We

can''t leave him without any hope."

Bonnie thought for awhile before asking Fredyy if he could ask Myles'' opinion on this matter.

Fredyy replied confidently,"An elder brother is like a father figure. I''ll talk with Haider first."

Without any objections, Bonnie told Fredyy,"Okay, you handle it."Afterpleting his mission, Freddy

left Bonnie''s studio and returned to Cooke''s Mansion.

Yanis had been haunted all night by Zane''s actions fromst night. One moment he would kiss her, the

next he would hug her. She had been dreaming all night long and even felt a little disappointed that

    nothing else had happened.

When Yanis appeared in front of Bonnie with messy hair in the morning, she was startled. "What did

you do? You have such big dark circles under your eyes?"

Yanis took a sip of water. "I slept. What else could I do?"

    "Did Zane stay?" Bonnie asked.

At the mention of Zane''s name, Yanis paused while drinking water and turned to look at Bonnie. "I''m

    allergic to him!"

    Bonnie: "???"

Yanis finished her water and said, "I''m going back to sleep for a bit longer. Call me at ten o''clock so I

don''t oversleep. I want to go see Mia and them at the hospital."

Bonnie nodded as she watched Yanis leave, but called out after her just a few steps away: "Are you not

    having breakfast?"

"I''m not hungry; I want to sleep," Yanis replied before returning to her room.

Bonnie called out for Yanis again when it was almost ten o''clock before finally waking up an honest

sleeper who said: "I think I can''t make it."

Sitting on the bed, Yanis ran her fingers through her messy hair.

"What did Zane dost night that made you like this?" asked Bonnie.

Naturally, Yanis wouldn''t tell Bonnie about what she dreamt aboutst night.

"Nothing much; let me tidy up before we go to the hospital," replied Yanis as she quickly changed

    clothes.

"Do you still want to go to Vitetoter?" asked Bonnie again.

"Not right now," answered Yanis, putting on clothes hurriedly.

"How about we go together then? We can visit Marnon first and then head over there." Bonnie

    suggested.

After hesitating for a moment, Yanis said:"Okay, I''ll freshen up first, and meet you outsideter."

"You can''t stay in the hospital all day, can you? I''ll go over to the wedding and see what''s going on. You

    cane with me."

Yanis nodded, "Then I go to wash up, you go to clean up, I will see you at the gate."

    Bonnie hummed and turned away.

When they arrived at the hospital, it was already one p. m.. Yanis hade at this time because she

wanted to buy some food, so it wouldn''t seem out of ce during mealtime. She also remembered

    what Mitch had saidst night.

When they got to the elevator with all their food, Reed happened to being down from it. He was

surprised when he saw Yanis and Bonnie.

    "Yanis?" Reed said.

Yanis smiled at Reed. "Long time no see, Reed."

Reed smiled back at Yanis. "Long time no see."

    Yanis introduced Bonnie to Reed.

    "Hello, Bonnie," said Reed.

After greeting each other, Reed took Yanis and Bonnie upstairs.

"Yanis, you bought food yesterday; why did you buy more today?" asked Reed as he looked at the

    things in Yanis''s hands.

"It''s lunchtime," replied Yanis. "Did you just go downstairs to get lunch?"

    Reed nodded.

"Well then," said Yanis with a smile on her face. "We haven''t eaten yet either; let''s eat together."

Reed hesitated for a moment before nodding his head in agreement.

There were many people gathered inside Marnon''s hospital room - all members of the Miller family:

brothers and sisters alike. Although Yanis could barely remember them all or tell them apart - especially

Taylor and Payne, who looked very simr - she could still distinguish between them by their voices

alone; Taylor spoke coldly while Payne sounded carefree and rxed.

    As for Payne... yful.

When Marnon saw that Yanis had arrived, she was somewhat shocked: "Why are you here?"

"I found out yesterday while eating where Mitch works that you guys came to Manches City," replied

Yanus as he put down the food. "Why didn''t anyone contact me?"

Marnon felt a bit embarrassed. "Sorry for troubling you."

"You guys took care of me without anyints," Yannis replied kindly.

Marnon wanted to say something else, but stopped when she noticed Bonnie standing next to Yannis.

"Mom," introduced Reid gesturing towards Marnon "this is Yannis''s friend – Bonnie."

Bonnie nodded her head towards Marnon politely saying, "Hello Auntie".

Marnon smiled back warmly saying "nice to meet you."

After exchanging greetings with each other, Yaniss divided up all their food among everyone present

before giving an individual portion specifically for Marnon, saying:

    "You can have this."
