19 - Touch me not

The previous title, The First Mini boss Fight (or lack thereof), it is lack thereof to me for 1 stupid reason. The boss can only do 1 thing. Captivate.  It does nothing at combat and needs everyone else help to capture/kill. =/

    <hr />

with them dead and gone, it was time to get upgrading once again.

8 +6 EV Points. hmmm what should I get?

    So many options.

To net up to 15 mobs,

I have the first option, 5 points to <Special>,from there I would put 2 points to the new ability <Uproot> and <Sense>.3 points in any of them or <Monster Tier Upgrade>

The 2nd option was to spread it thinly,3 points to

, 2 to <Uproot>, 2 point to <Sense> and 3 point to <Monster Tier upgrade> it would leave me with 4 points that I can put in

    , <Monster Tier Upgrade> or <Allure>

The 3rd option was something I am partial to, I could have a mixture, 5 points to <Special> and 4 to <Allure>.i would be left with 5 points which I can put to

, or <Monster Tier Upgrade> + <Sense>, <Uproot> or the new ability. That would net me up to 12 mobs

<Allure> grants me hypnotic/luring abilities.  Very useful I would say. If I went along the lines of <Allure>, I can upgrade it to tier 5 and would still have 4 points. I would be able to upgrade <Sense> and <Uproot> as well by 1 tier. That would also generate me 12 new mobs.

And then there is the greedier options.

Another that came to me was that I place 5 points to <Special>, and the remain 9 points into <Allure> that would be quite effective but by the guess it would generate me at most 9 guys? 3 from the new type that came from<Special>, 3 from tier 4 <Allure> and 3 from tier 5 <Allure> very risky.

If I upgrade <Special> I can upgrade it to tier 6 and be left with 3 points that would leave me to upgrade either <Trap>, <Monster Tier upgrade> or

or upgrade one of the new one. No matter what it can only generate me 9 mobs.

Ahhhh. All the options… I really could not decide. Given no choice, I made the call. It was time to tap into that wasted resource. Alex.

    *ring-ring*

    “Moshi Moshi?”

    “I have a little situation.”

    “You have a kid?”

“NO. What made you think that way? Wait a minute… Don’t tell me….No! Don’t answer that. I do not want to know the details.”

“Whatever you want spill it. I got more pressing matters at hand.”

In no time I gave Alex a quick recap on what is going on.

“So you have 14 points and you cannot decide on how you want to spend it..”

“Pretty much sums up the situation.”

“Ok I will break it down for you. What do you need right now? Ways to kill. Among all these, what seems most likely to give you better way to kill? <Monster Tier Upgrade> is a must. That means 3 points down.<Allure> and

are good but do you need more status effect? You want to trigger the capture effect not the others for the Singing Tree. <Sense> and <Uproot> may be good.i am not sure about <Sense> but it gave you Carpet Thorns. Investing in it will give more details about it. <Uproot> gave Pollen Dash, Sapling and Runner. Moving  plants are a good plan as well. So by idea, you have <Monster Tier Upgrade>, <Uproot> and <Sense> that amounts to 7 points. From there you have 2 options, upgrade <Special> and the new ability, or upgrade <Uproot> and <Monster Tier Upgrade> or <Uproot>. These guys feel like they are more likely to provide you Combat Units as compared to the choices. Either way you would be upgrading 5 things. That would mean at least 5 mobs. Personally I would like to see new stuff so I would choose to have <Special> and upgrade the new ability.”

11 out of 15! Not bad. 9 plants and 2 herbs. That might be usefulllll…..

What is that ? pitcher plant? Something that looks like Napthene? It sounds like one. Let me see.

Tossing one in my garden, I looked at it grow. It looked… very different to what I imagined…. It was more of a 3 legged plant that had one opening on top that looked like a hand cannon….

Moving on I grew the Glass grass.

I could barely see the Glass Grass but by the looks of it, it looks good as a indoor plant. A clear crystal plant that stands that unmoving is a straight house decoration.

Ginseng. That was how I saw it when it grew. After using the uproots skill of sensor, I see a walking ginseng. the wailing was annoying though. Good thing I could turn that off in the garden. A walking ginseng is cool in the garden.

Rootling looked like a bunch of string gone wrong. Ends sticking up everywhere, just where is the core of the plant I cannot tell. It screamed spaghetti monster from every angle.

Frenzy looking like a stem and a 10 sided shuriken on top. It looks like a fun plant. From the looks of it, Singing Tree will be making people crazy suddenly. I can imagine the scene where someone will say… “hey ! where is my heal? Wait why are you charging at me?”

Rage Bane look more like a tattooed plant. Not very nice looking to me. But it seems useful 5% mp regen. It should the perfect potion material for Clerics. They deal no damage and attack speed would not affect them. They heal for just the same amount I think.

Radar looks just like its name, a satellite dish. it looks more like a lotus pad than anything else after that first glance. It looks really promising for combat. Put it near a boss and no more back stabbing. It also act like a general. I can imagine 10 sappers shooting all at one target at the same time~

Buzzer, not sure why it is called that. I rather that it is called bell. It looked more like a temple bell you see in those ancient chinese temples.

I really liked mimosa. It is just as its name, touch me not. as a kid I have always touched it. And now, I have a 0.5m tall Mimosa… I just had to touch it....

The next thing I knew I got slapped. By the Mimosa. The shrinking is instant and my face was just too near.  It was fine until I looked around. The Pitcher plant was facing me with the hand cannon, same with the ginseng all all the other plants I had in the garden.

    Bam!

a hard seed slammed into my face, then another, and another.

The next I knew was that I was pelted by various attacks.

    I re-read Mimosa again.

    <table><tbody><tr><td colspan=''2''>Name</td><td colspan=''2''>Mimosa</td></tr><tr><td colspan=''2''>Type</td><td colspan=''2''>Plant</td></tr><tr><td width="25%">HP</td><td width="25%">160</td><td width="25%">MP</td><td width="25%">0</td></tr><tr><td width="25%">Attack</td><td width="25%">0</td><td width="25%">Defence</td><td width="25%">500</td></tr><tr><td colspan=''2''>Abilities</td><td colspan=''2''><Defense Curl> - Increase allies within 20m radius defence by 50.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Nope, it said nothing about the concentrated attack. Was it because of Radar? But just to make sure, I removed Radar. I poked at it again after it opened up again 15 seconds later. It still happened. Once again was I pelted by various attacks.

If only i had a bat...

Plant by plant I removed to see what could have caused it. I endured that many times of the attacks but nothing explained it. Then I was down to just Mimosa and a Sapper. I still got hit. I took out Sapper and placed Runner instead. I still got hit. It was not Sapper either. I sat down on my Mahogany Rocking Chair thinking what could have been the reason. Could it have been the place or could it have been a bug I had no idea. It took a while before I realized one thing.

It was not the other plants. Mimosa had a secret skill.

A nefarious scheme was put to place, or at least put in a place. A fake eden on the 2nd floor. Mimosa Maze Garden with various other plants. That sounded fun. Who does not want to touch a Mimosa, the touch me not. Touch and everyone will hit you. Perfect for a maze hedge. You could see past it but you cannot touch it. The moment you do touch it you are hit… now I just need to make an obstacle course… oh… I can’t. They can’t grow on rocks. It has to be the flat ground. Oh well. But maze here I come.
