Bailey''s pov
My eyes widened in shock. "What?" I whispered as his gaze bored into mine. His expression was a
mixture of hurt, anger and betrayal.
What the hell is he talking-
Oh.
The dare.
Stefan, still being held by Kaleb spoke up. " I keep fucking telling him it was just a dare."
Kaleb''s eyes darken and he whipped back around, and was just about to lung for Stefan again
when I grabbed his arm.
" I let him." I whispered, clutching his arm tighter. He stiffens by my words.
" He didn''t lie, it was a dare. But we didn''t really kiss." I added when I felt the anger roll off of him in
waves.
" It didn''t look like you two didn''t really kiss Bailey."
"Well we didn''t." I gritted my teeth, now feeling frustrated that he was mad because of the dare.
Stefan and I didn''t even kiss!
" And if we did, it shouldn''t be any of your concern Kaleb," I let his arm go.
Kaleb snapped to face me, a chilling re on his face. I stood my ground and lifted my chin up.
" You have no right to barge into Stefan''s home because of a stupid dare." I uttered, folding my
arms. " Especially when I am not that important to you."
He flinched, his eyes dimming with hurt before the pop of his jaw indicated that I struck a nerve. "
How can you possibly think you are not important-
" Wait." Stefan cuts in, wiping the blood trailing down his chin. " What''s going on here? Are you two
together or something?" He looked between Kaleb and me, his brows drawn in confusion.
" No!" I rushed out the second Kaleb responded with a yes.
I should have been happy to hear him im me in front of the boys but I felt anything but that. I felt
the tingling feeling in my stomach that revealed my nerves and the tickling feeling on my neck.
I was squirmy and kind of irritated that we did not speak about our rtionship enough for him to
im me in front of them. Especially when we had issues having to do with Juliet and now the dare.
We clearly had to talk.
Ryan and Stefan look between the two of us confused.
I red at Kaleb while he red right back at me. " Yes we are." Kaleb gritted out every word,
rubbing his teeth in frustration.
I tipped my chin up to show that he did not intimidate me. " We are not. Not until-
He took a step forward and cut in. " Until what Bailey? Until I marry you, impregnate you? Until
when?"
My mouth ckened and so did Ryan and Stefan''s. Their eyes are as wide as mine,pletely
shocked by Kaleb''s words.
I flushed and looked away. " It''s too early to even talk about this Kaleb. We''re still in high school
and-
He''s almost pressing up against me when he takes that step forward and I held my breath. " This is
our future Bailey. It''s already set. Have you forgotten what I said to youst night? You''re mine. And
I am yours."
I am not sure what to say, in fact, I am tongue tied to the point I can only stare at him silently.
" Uh-" Ryan cleared his throat. " It looks like you two need to talk privately. Stefan."
Looking at Ryan and Stefan, I whispered. " Can we keep this to ourselves? I don''t want Mira to
know yet." I looked down in shame, wondering why I didn''t have the courage to tell Mira as yet.
I would at least want her to know about it through me first.
" Your secret is safe with me Bailey," I can hear the smile in Ryan''s response. " It''s not my ce to
tell anyway. "
I lift my head only to see him spare a nce at Kaleb while he whispered. " I get why you''re scared
to tell her." Looking back at me he smiled. " Hopefully one day you will be able to tell her."
It felt he said it for the both of us His eyes swept to Stefan who stayed rooted where he was and
staring at me stunned. " Stefan." Ryan called out to him again.
This time Stefan''s gaze drew away from mine and he nod silently. Ryan motioned with his head to
follow him and Stefan nces at me onest time before following him out of the room quietly.
Now that it is just Kaleb and me, the tension in the room spins.
I scan his features that now dotted with more frustration and hurt.
I shook my head, frowning. " You have no right to feel this way Kaleb. Remember you left with
Juliet, God knows what you two done."
His forehead creases into a frown at my words. " Is that why you went ahead and had Stefan kiss
you? Because I brought Juliet home?"
I scoffed. " If only you had actually brought her home and not in your bed. I know she slept in your
bed Kaleb."
I try to keep my voice stern but I will not lie and say I am not hurt by this. It was very clear to me that
I am falling for Kaleb. And perhaps I am already too far gone.
He flinched, his eyes storming before he nod. " She did, " he admit. His admission made my
stomach twist with unease and I swallowed.
" Okay," I whispered. At least he was honest with me this once. " Then I guess this is it."
I turn around to leave, blinking back the sting in my eyes. This shouldn''t hurt as much as it did right
now, but it does.

But fingers wrap around my wrist, stopping me from walking away. His hold was gentle, but firm,
keeping me from resuming my steps.
I stay facing the door, not wanting him to see the evident hurt in my eyes at his admission.
" She slept in my bed Bailey, but I didn''t sleep beside her. I slept on the couch." His voice was
gentle, like a teacher trying to soothe a wailing child. " What you''re thinking is not what happened."
I ground my teeth and clench my hands and whirled around to shoot him a re. " Not what I
think?! Kaleb you''re a yer, I don''t trust your words right now." I snapped.
He still had a firm grip around my wrist and he uses that to draw me closer. My front press against
his and I sucked in a sharp breath through my nose.
His eyes narrowed down on me and I can see his expression clouding over with frustration. " Not
anymore. I am not the same guy Bailey! Do you still not get it?" He hissed and dipped his head
lower until our eyes are leveled.
" You are it for me. You''ve always been it for me. The second I kissed you, tasted you, hell you''ve
always been it for me Flower. I just never realized. But now that I do, I am not going to let you go."
