    Chapter 670

She wasn’t keen on attending that wedding reception in the first ce, but Isaac Salter insisted on her

presence. Seeing as she was under his roof, she had no

    choice but to oblige.

Isaac seemed mildly annoyed by her behavior, but he couldn’t bring himself to scold her when he saw

    the light in her eyes.

He took a deep breath and calmly said, “You look tired. Take a rest.”

She could sleep through a makeup session, so the least she could do was rest and stay quiet during

    the car ride.

Brittany Dustin was only too d to oblige. She closed her eyes and was soon asleep.

Isaac fetched a light nket and draped it over her. While doing so he caught a whiff of her sweet

scent, and his throat bobbed. He managed to somehow suppress the urge to kiss her and forced

    himself to sit back down.

Upon reaching the wedding reception, Brittany hadn’t woken up yet.

Looking out of the car window, Isaac saw the guestsing and going. Nathan Jarvis wanted to wake

Brittany up, but Isaac stopped him from doing so.

“You go on ahead. We’lle in a bit.”

Nathan understood and stepped out of the car.

Brittany was a light sleeper. The sound of voices roused her.

The wedding reception was opulently decorated. Brittany opened the car door and stepped out. Isaac

    followed her closely behind.

    “Mr. Salter, Ms. Dustin!”

As soon as they alighted, Shona Bet turned to them. She was wearing a crescent white gown, her

    smile radiant.

She was pregnant, but people wouldn’t be able to guess that just by looking at her yet. She radiated a

soft maternal glow. Brittany smiled as she congratted her, “Ms. Bet, congrattions on your

    wedding.”

Shona sped Brittany’s hand and grinned, “Thank you.”

Ryan followed closely behind her, always keeping a close eye on her.

    “Mr. Safter, pleasee in.”

Brittany didn’te empty-handed. She pulled out a wedding gift from her bag, saying,

“Congrattions to the both of you.”

Ryan cordially epted the gift, “Thank you, Ms. Dustin. Pleasee in.”

As they walked into the reception, a few guests gasped when they saw Isaac.

    “What’s happening?”

“Mr. Salter brought his ex-wife to the wedding reception of his ex-fiancée? What a drama!”

“Remember when Brittany pped Mr. Salter? He suffered quite a bit then. Are they getting back

    together now?”

“Stop talking nonsense. Brittany wanted a divorce, but no one in Imperial City dared to take her case. I

heard Mr. Salter never signed the divorce papers. They’ll probably be entangled for a while.”

The guests murmured among themselves. The Dillion family was also present at that wedding.

Mrs. Dillion’s expression was strange when she saw Brittany.

Olivia Dillion couldn’t hold back her rage as she said, “She’s such a shameless hussy. Flirting with

William on one hand and entangled with Isaac on the other!”

“Shut up!” Timothy Dillion couldn’t bear to see Brittany being belittled as he warned her, “The past is

the past. Ms. Dustin helped us. You should speak less.”

Olivia gritted her teeth, plotting how to humiliate Brittany.

    Suddenly, an idea struck her.

She pulled Mrs. Dillion aside and shared her idea, “Aunt, don’t you want William and Ca to be

    together?”

“Of course, but William won’t agree.” Mrs. Dillion was anxious.

Ca Salter had waited for William Dillion for so many years. How could she not want them to be

    together?

    But William wouldn’t budgel

Olivia grinned slyly, “Aunt, I have thought of a way to make it happen. Let’s cook the rice till it’s done.”

Once their rtionship was established, William would have to marry Ca. That way, Brittany would

    bepletely out of the picture.

And they could mend their rtionship with the Salter family. Even a little help from the Salters would

    be enough for Olivia.

Mrs. Dilliorrhesitated a bit, “You mean…”

Did she want to finalize that marriage at the wedding reception?

Olivia whispered something into Mrs. Dilliori’s ear. Mrs. Dillion’s face changed, but then she nodded,

“Alright, let’s do as you say.”

Olivia beckoned her assistant over, “Do as I sayter…
