He got in right after her.
Nathan climbed into the driver’s seat and started the car, adjusting the windshield carefully, not daring
to nce back at the two in the rear seat.
Brittany leaned back in her seat, deep in thought. “How long till we get there?”
“About an hour and a half.”
Brittany rxed a bit and closed her eyes to rest.
Isaac remembered what the salon owner had said and asked, “Busy at work? Are some of your staff
giving you trouble?”
“As for work, Mr. Salter, you might want to stay out of it, Brittany said with a coldugh. “Or you can
investigate it yourself, since this isn’t the first time.”
