    “Are you threatening me with our child?” Brittany started to think he was bing more shameless.


    Isaac swallowed hard, and after a while, he let go of her hand, “I’m not threatening you. I just don’t


    want you to be with anyone else.”


    Brittany ignored him and headed back to the auction hall..


    Just as she sat down, Leo looked over and said, “Ms. Dustin, there was a pair of pearl earrings that


    would suit you perfectly. I bid on them as a wee gift for you.”


    Brittany remembered what Isaac had said and was aware that Leo might have a thing for her. She


    paused for a it before saying, “Mr. Leo, I appreciate your kindness, but such expensive items should be


    given to someone more deserving.”


    Leo wasn’t a fool. After being rejected multiple times by Brittany, he knew there was no chance


    between them.


    “Ms. Dustin, I truly admire you.”


    Brittany simply smiled and kept quiet, “Mr. Leo, we are business partners. I hope our future


    coborations will go smoothly.”


    -It was a clear-rejection. Leo got the message, “Alright, Ms. Dustin. I hope we will have the chance to


    work together in the future.”


    After the auction ended, there was a banquet.


    Brittany didn’t have much interest in the banquet. After saying goodbye to Leo, she left the banquet


    hall, only to be hugged by Daniel, “Mommy, I missed you.”


    Seeing no one around, Brittany dropped her guard and hugged Daniel, “How did you get here?”


    “I nagged Daddy to bring me to see you.” Daniel clung to Brittany’s neck, giving her little kisses.

    Brittany was surprised by Daniel’s thoughtfulness. She opened the backpack to find a box of pastries


    and a bouquet of flowers.


    After the long journey, the petals were crushed, making the bouquet look a bit messy.


    “Oh dear, they got ruined?” Daniel looked a bit confused, “Mommy, I picked these flowers from the


    garden just for you.”


    Brittany took the bouquet, recognizing them as champagne roses.


    “They are lovely Thank you, sweetie. I love them.” Brittany exaggeratedly sniffed the flowers, then gave


    Daniel a peck, “I appreciate your thoughtful gift.” Daniel’s face turned red, “Mommy, next time I will get


    you more flowers.”


    Brittany gently ruffled his hair and lifted him up, “Let’s go home.”


    Looking at her high heels, Isaac frowned and offered to carry Daniel, “Let me take him.”


    She must be tired from wearing heels all day.


    “No need.”


    Brittany carried Daniel into Isaac’s car. Since they were already there, she wouldn’t hesitate to take the


    ride. It would have been silly not to.

    Meanwhile, at the banquet on the second floor, Leo watched them get into the car together. He was a

    “Mr. Leo, we just checked. Ms. Dustin and Mr. Salter are married.”
