Chapter 1966 rk''s Worry
"Trust me! I''m fine." Sheryl smiled at I because she didn''t want I to worry about her anymore. Still,
on the inside, she couldn''t ept how quickly these things were happening to her.
It had been a few days, but Sheryl still couldn''t believe it. They loved each other. How could he do that?
"Sher, I know that you''re sad and angry. You can tell me, and I can help you. But you''re not telling me
anything, and that''s worrying me." I knew that Sheryl was sad, but Sheryl wasn''t telling her anything,
and that was what worried her the most.
"I just don''t want you to worry about me. I''m fine. I just don''t understand what''s happening, but I''ll be
fine." Sheryl looked at I with a serious expression. She hoped that I would understand her.
"Well, why don''t you rest first? I''ll take the kids out for a walk and y with them a bit. When wee
back, I hope you''ll be feeling better. If you''re still feeling angry or upset, I''ll help you, okay?" After this,
I turned and left the room, leaving Sheryl alone.
The kids were in the living room. As soon as they saw I, they came running to her. They were quite
fast.
"Aunt I, what''s wrong with mom?" rk looked at I with a worried expression on his face.
I got on her knees and beamed at the kids.
"She''s fine. She''s just tired. Why don''t we let her rest while we go to the amusement park? How does
that sound?" I looked back and forth between rk and Shirley, waiting to hear their excited
screams.
Shirley didn''t know what was happening. So she smiled at I in agreement.
However, rk was still upset.
I couldn''t help but be worried about him. She patted his head and said, "rk,e with us or else,
we''ll be sad too."
rk had no choice but to agree with them even though he wasn''t really up to it.
"rk, you''re still a little boy. Don''t worry about your parents. They can solve their problems by
themselves. You just focus on yourself, all right?"
I knew that rk was mature for his age, so she exined it to him in a way that he would
understand.
"All right, Aunt I. Thanks." He still didn''t seem fully convinced, but he had already let it go.
Soon, they arrived at the amusement park.
As soon as they arrived, Shirleyughed merrily upon seeing the sea of people enjoying themselves.
She was different from her brother as she was still young, and she genuinely had no idea what had
happened to her parents.
"Aunt I, I want to ride the merry-go-round." Shirley pointed to the merry-go-round as it was much
grander and bigger than the one she had at home.
"All right. Joan, you stay with rk. I''ll go with Shirley." I noticed that rk was fixated on the
ground. She knew that he wasn''t in the mood to y.

"All right, Mrs. Zhao. I''ll stay with rk," Joan replied. I then grabbed Shirley''s hand as they headed
to the merry-go-round.
They yed for about three hours. Shirley was giddy and excited, and I couldn''t help but enjoy
herself too.
"Shirley, don''t run too fast or you''ll fall down." I followed her around religiously, afraid that Shirley
would fall from how fast she was running.
"Aunt I, you run faster. I want to y there," Shirley called to I, who was trailing behind her as she
dashed.
"I''ll catch up with you!"
It took I a few minutes to catch up with Shirley.
Soon, it was time to go home, and Shirley didn''t want to leave. I found that it was toote, and they
really needed to get home. She had to stop Shirley from ying. "Shirley, it''s time to go home."
"Aunt I, I still want to y!" Shirley begged, shaking her head.
If this were any other time, I would agree to this. However, today, she didn''t as she knew they really
needed to get home soon, or Shirley would worry about them.
"Shirley, your brother''s waiting for us. You know rk wants to go home and see your mom. Don''t you
want to see your mom too?" I said softly.
Shirley nodded upon seeing the look on rk''s face.
"rk, let''s go!" When I saw the look on rk''s face, she couldn''t help but feel bad for him.
"All right."
rk had wanted to leave as soon as they got there, but Shirley seemed happy, so he just stayed and
let Shirley have her fun.
When they got in the car, Shirley fell asleep right away. She must have been tired from running and
ying all day.
"rk, what''s wrong? You look upset," I asked rk.
"Aunt I, are you sure that my mom''s fine now?"
"Don''t worry. I couldn''t lie to you." However, she could see that rk didn''t believe her.
Soon, they arrived home. I gently shook Shirley to wake her up.
"Joan, why don''t you take Shirley upstairs and prepare her for bed?" Shirley was too sleepy and tired to
do anything, so I asked Joan to take Shirley upstairs, so she could rest. She''d been ying the
entire day.
"All right, Mrs. Zhao." Joan nodded her head and then took Shirley upstairs.
I followed behind as she wanted to see Sheryl. However, when she arrived at her room, she saw
that Sheryl had already fallen asleep.
rk kept silent the entire time. He remained sitting in the living room with his head in his hands. It
seemed as if he was in deep thought.
"rk, what are you thinking?" I asked as she sat beside rk.
When they were still at the amusement park, rk already knew what he wanted to do—he was going
to find Charles and ask him what was really happening.
"Aunt I, could you drive me to my father''spany?" rk looked at I with a serious expression.
"rk, I''m so sorry. I can''t do that!" I refused rk at once.
rk was visibly upset upon I''s refusal. However, he seemed determined.
"Aunt I, if you can''t drive me there, I can go by myself."
