Chapter 1797 The Same Style of Dress
The shop Le had chosen was the biggest formal dress store in Mysia. The moment she entered
the ss doors, her attention was caught by its interior. The store had white and turquoise walls, white
birdcages with flowers entwined through the bars, potted nts and mini white picket fences sectioned
off different areas, and wall decals of flowers, birds, and butterflies gave the ce a very whimsical
feel. The clothes rails lining the walls held the store''s fashion collections, which were sorted by style.
Knowing that it was famous all over the country, Le had high expectations of its sales personnel
when it came to professionalism.
"Good day, Madam." Another one of the saledies approached her with a smile. "I''m Anis. I''d be
happy to assist you in finding a perfect dress. What kind of party are you going to attend?" Le had to
pause and think for a while, an embarrassed expression shing on her beautiful face.
When Melissa had handed her the invitation card earlier, she hadn''t mentioned what kind of party it
was, but Le remembered the name of the venue. Feeling enlightened, she replied to the saledy, "It
is for a party on the ship, Twilight, tonight."
Thinking that it was a big party, Le thought the saleswoman would have an idea what type of dress
would be suitable.
"Just this one." The saledy pulled one of the dresses from the rack. She didn''t exin too much but
smiled when she saw Le''s confused expression. "Ady who will attend the same party tonight chose
a dress of the same color for another style. Although it was not the same style, I think..."
"Okay. This one, please." Le interrupted the saledy before she could finish exining. Taking the
dress with her, she went back to the fitting room to try it on. After a few minutes, she came out and
asked the saledy to pack the dress for her.
Walking out of the formal dress store, Le expressed the need to do her hair. Charles was highly
annoyed. Fortunately, the hair salon was not far from where they were. Otherwise, Charles might have
refused to go with herpletely.
"You go ahead. I will hang out in the neighborhood." Charles suddenly stopped and turned away from
Le when they reached the front of the hair salon. Not giving her time to respond, he continued
walking, leaving Le behind.
Le was aware that she couldn''t stop Charles, so she wouldn''t do anything useless. Hesitating for a
while, she just watched his back as he walked away. After another minute or two, she finally decided to
enter the hair salon.
Charles wasn''t nning to buy anything. He was just unwilling to apany Le. If they were back
home, he would have sent some random employee to apany her, sparing himself the trouble. But
they were overseas, so he had no choice but to satisfy her and his mother.
Taking his time, Charles identally saw a small shop at the corner of the walkway. Stunned, he
stopped to check out the great variety of beautiful pieces disyed in the ss cab. They all
reminded him of Sheryl. All of them were what Sheryl liked. For a second, he had the impulse to buy it
all but had to give up the thought in the end.
Sheryl had insisted on divorcing him, and until now, Charles couldn''t think of a way to solve that
problem.
Le was between them. Although he didn''t like her, they had shared the same bed several times. In
the beginning, Charles had wanted to use his money to cope with her, but it appeared that she didn''t
want his money, nor would she leave him alone. Just thinking about it gave him a bad headache.
Charles didn''t know how long he had walked, but when he got Le''s phone call, it was almost time for
the party.
He picked Le up, and they went to the ship, Twilight, together.
After Charles parked the car, Le joyfully looked at the giant ship in front of them. Although she had
been to many parties in their country, it was her first time to attend a party on a ship. Hence, she was
both excited and curious.
After they boarded, a lot of people recognized Charles. Although the party was held overseas and the
guests were a mix of foreign businessmen, a lot of them came from their country. Of course, some of
the participants from both home and abroad had a business rtionship with Charles''pany.
As soon as the party started, Le was like a prancing peacock, moving closer to Charles whenever
they met anybody else. She said hello to everybody, regardless of whether she knew them or not. She
was afraid that others didn''t know she was Charles'' woman and that the man next to her was the
president of Shining Company.
"Go have a seat over there," Charles ordered Le casually. "I am going to greet my clients." Charles
was silent the entire time until he saw a specific client from a distance.
"I wille with you," Le responded with a smile as she held onto Charles'' arm, gesturing for him to
Charles couldn''t shake off Le''s hand with all the eyes on them. So left with no choice, he walked over
to his client with her.
"Mr. Zhang."
"Mr. Lu, what a surprise. You also came to Mysia?" Mr. Zhang was Mysian, but he had a lot of
business in Charles'' country and had cooperated with him several times in the past. It was only polite
for him to say hello.
Zhang hadn''t thought he would meet Charles at this party. Moreover, he was surprised to see the
woman standing beside Charles.
Although Zhang didn''t visit Charles'' country frequently, he knew a bit about him.
For instance, Zhang was clear that Sheryl was Charles'' wife, but, obviously, this woman was not
Sheryl.
Zhang couldn''t help but joke about it. "Mr. Lu, have you finally found your soul mate?"
Seeing Zhang''s meaningful smile, Charles felt displeased. On the other hand, Le felt overjoyed.
Le''s purpose tonight was simple. She wanted everybody to think she was Charles'' woman, and that
Sheryl was just nobody. At that moment, she looked at Mr. Zhang, shed her big smile, and held
Charles'' arm tighter.
Charles remained expressionless, but inside, he felt angry upon hearing Zhang''sment.
Changing the topic, Charles asked, "Mr. Zhang, did youe here alone today?"
"I came with my woman." A naughty smile registered on Zhang''s face, which seemed to tell Charles,
''You know what I mean.''
His message was certainly clear, but Charles refrained from being the same as him.
"I won''t disturb you, Mr. Zhang." Charles nodded and then left.
Seeing Charles had only interacted with Mr. Zhang for a little while, Le knew that hisments had
irritated Charles.
She felt confused. She was now the one who stood next to Charles. Was she inferior to Sheryl, who
got him in trouble from time to time? She wondered if people thinking they were in a rtionship made
Charles depressed.
Charles said hello to several other guests, and Le still followed him around, without letting go of his
arm. But now, she was well-behaved and didn''t take the initiative to speak unless spoken to. If Charles
didn''t introduce her, she wouldn''t tell them who she was.
Le wasn''t worried about this at all. After all, everybody was curious and would casually ask Charles

who she was, seeing that he had brought her to tonight''s party.
Charles'' general response was that Le was his secretary.
Most of the time, the other side showed a knowing smile to Charles and even praised Le.
Le had thought that Charles would deny her, but unexpectedly he told the truth, so she secretly felt
pleased.
What made hercent was that, since Charles introduced her as his secretary, their rtionship
was vague in everyone''s eyes.
Although, in reality, the rtionship between the president and his secretary was the most dangerous.
At this thought, Le almost burst intoughter.
