Chapter 1679 Remarry

    Chapter 1679 Remarry

Le spoke in a worried tone, saying, "Aunt Melissa, even though Sheryl has said that she wants a

divorce, she insists on taking the two kids with her. Surely Charles won''t agree to that. Charles would

never really part with Sheryl because of the kids. I can see that after they get divorced, Charles will

probably still pay regr visits to the children. As time goes on, they would probably get remarried

because of falling back in love."

"Absolutely not!" Melissa mmed her hand on the table in anger, seeming worried now as well.

"What can we do about it, though? Sheryl knows that Charles wants the kids. She might have even

done it on purpose!" Seeing that Melissa had gotten angry, Le began to viinize Sheryl even further,

picturing her as an awful and insidious woman.

"You are saying that Sheryl might not be nning on really getting a divorce at all. All she wants is to

have Charles love her more, am I right?" Melissa seemed to havee to the realization suddenly and

    looked at Le in shock.

"Aunt Melissa, I can''t say for sure; I''m just a bystander after all. At least, that is how I feel!" At first, Le

had sounded so sure of it, as if it was a fact, but now she sounded more hesitant.

"Well, I think it makes sense. How could Sheryl really decide to divorce Charles? She must be ying

    some other kind of trick!"

After she was convinced of that point, Melissa became even more infuriated.

"Aunt Melissa, please, don''t be so angry. The only thing we should try to do is to further erge the

gap between Sheryl and Charles. We should make Charles resent Sheryl first. Then, we can help him

take the kids away from Sheryl. Only then can Charles stand a chance of leaving that woman forever!"

Le gave Melissa a reassuring nce.

Melissa nodded her head and thought deeply. She knew that Le was right; even if they were going to

get a divorce, the main custody of the kids could not be allowed to be given to Sheryl. After the divorce,

it would be impossible for them to get back together again if Charles had the kids.

After thinking for a while, Melissa said, "All right. For the next few days, you don''t have to go to work.

Take the time to be with Charles more. Perhaps he will grow more fond of you as time goes by."

"Aunt Melissa, is that okay?" Le looked at Melissa in shock.

Le was now running into a dilemma. As much as she wanted to spend more time with Charles, she

had to go to thepany for work. After all, if the n between her and Holley didn''t get executed, it

wouldn''t work so well when things had to be der.

"Don''t you want to spend time with Charles?"

Melissa was confused by Le''s reaction. ''I thought that she loved Charles?'' she pondered. ''Why is she

    so hesitant now?''

"Truly, I do want to! I would love to spend time with Charles! However, I only joined thepany not

long ago, though. If I keep applying for so many leaves of absence, then I''m afraid that my boss will be

unhappy with me." Le feigned a worried look on her face.

"There''s nothing to worry about. When you marry Charles, you''ll be the wife of the Shining Company''s

CEO, so no one would dare to judge you!" Melissa didn''t understand what Le was thinking. ''What is it

that is worth worrying about? Even if Charles doesn''t support you, you still have me to count on, '' she

    thought to herself.

Le put on a smile and nodded. "You are right, Aunt Melissa!"

At such a crucial time, Le didn''t want Melissa to be disappointed in her. If that was what Melissa

wanted, she would heed her advice.

After Melissa thought about it for a while, she continued, "Help me arrange a meeting with Sheryl. I

have to talk to her, so I can see what she really wants!"

"Okay, Aunt Melissa. I''ll talk to Sheryl about it!"

Actually, she wouldn''t really want to talk to Sheryl at the moment. She knew very well that Sheryl

wouldn''t want to talk to her.

The two women spent the rest of their time together discussing the matter. Having managed to sort

things out eventually, Melissa heaved a sigh of relief. "I''m so much more assured right now. I just hope

that Sheryl never appears in my life again!"

"Aunt Melissa, everything is going to get better soon!" Le grinned at Melissa as she held her arm.

After Melissa had finished eating, Le left the patient ward. When she walked past Charles'' ward, she

    stopped in her tracks.

Initially, she had nned to visit him, but through the ss, she could see that Charles was wearing a

grim look, so she gave up on the thought of visiting him.

After Sheryl left the hospital, she went back to thepany building.

In her office, Sheryl smiled helplessly. "Sheryl, you''re overconfident. Do you really think that Charles

can''t live without you?" she murmured to herself.

As she said that, tears started to well up in her eyes.

Phoebe knocked at the door and came in. Wiping away the tears in her eyes, Sheryl squeezed a tight

smile out and said, "Is there anything you need?"

"Ma''am, are you all right?" Phoebe walked up to Sheryl and put some documents onto the desk. When

she looked at Sheryl, she was shocked to see that there were bruises on her face. Evidently, she had

    been punched by someone!

Sheryl suddenly became nervous as she touched her face in a hurry. ''How could I forget about that?''

    she thought to herself.

"Oh, never mind about that. I happened to hit my face by ident. Is there anything you need?"

Sheryl''s voice was a bit tearful, but she steeled herself to act as if nothing had happened.

Phoebe pitied Sheryl in her heart, but she knew that Sheryl wasn''t someone who enjoyed being pitied,

so she didn''t ask any further questions.

"Ma''am, there is a proposal for a partnership with Blue Cloud Technology. This is the third draft. Can

you take a look? If you don''t have any issues with the proposal, then we can proceed with the n."

Phoebe kept her head bowed to avoid looking directly at Sheryl''s face and passed the file to her.

Flipping through the file, Sheryl asked, "Have you contacted Mr. Xu yet?"

"Yes! The only thing left that we need is your signature!" Phoebe eximed.

"All right. You can continue with your work now. After I''m done, I''ll call you," Sheryl said, and she

seemed to be intently focused on reading the document.

Phoebe understood what Sheryl meant. She wanted to say something more, but eventually gave up

    and left.

After Phoebe left, Sheryl heaved a small sigh. Holding up a small mirror, she gazed at her face. The

hand mark there seemed to mock her stupidity.

Taking a deep breath, Sheryl told herself not to think too much about it, and then she started working

    again.

After she finished reading the document, she called Phoebe in.

In the meantime, I, who had just finished extorting Aron, also arrived at thepany building.

I had forced Aron to buy her an expensive set of make-up. In truth, she could afford it herself, but

she enjoyed having Aron pay for her purchases. The more he felt disgruntled about it; the more joyful

    the process was for her.

With a huge grin, I walked into the Cloud Advertising Company building. When she saw Phoebe,

she noticed immediately that there was something wrong. "What happened?" she asked. "Did you have

    a fight with Josef?"

Phoebe''s eyes started to turn red, but she pursed her lips, unwilling to say anything. I then realized

that it must be something really serious. Why else would Phoebe look so sorrowful?
