Chapter 1528 Rescue Melissa
In Le''s crammed bedroom, she was sleeping peacefully.
Her sleep was interrupted as the phone began to buzz. The shrilling noise startled Le, and she was
hour. With her eyes still half-closed, she answered the call impatiently. "Who is it?"
"Le, who do you think I am? Enough of sleeping. I have something urgent to talk to you. And for that,
I need to see you, right now!" Holley eximed from the other end.
As soon as Le heard Holley''s voice, she got out of her bed. Judging from Holley''s serious tone, Le
was certain that this was indeed an emergency.
The sleep left her body and now she was alert. Afterposing herself, she replied, "Okay, that won''t
be a problem. Where are you now? I''ll start right away."
"Actually you don''t have toe anywhere. I will being to your house. In fact, I have almost
reached your block," Holley answered curtly. She didn''t dare waste any more time. The longer she
took, the greater the risk would be for something unexpected to happen.
Soon Holley arrived at Le''s narrow apartment. Le poured a ss of water for her, and then stood
by her side stiffly. She didn''t look straight into Holley''s eyes, and instead she busied herself staring at
the floor.
This was the first time that someone ever came to her little apartment. She rented this house in spite of
it being poky and dark. In truth, this was all she could afford. However, Holley''s presence here made
her embarrassed. She always carried a pretense of beauty and arrogance. But today, the most
disgraceful part of her life was unravelled in front of Holley.
The walls were dirty and ugly. On closer inspection, one could notice cracks. The tiny living room was
crowded with many ragged furniture, but none of them were intact. Even the sofa that Holley was sitting
on was broken, with the filler exposed. Everything in this room depicted Le''s vulnerability.
But Holley was in no mood to notice how Le lived. As soon as she was seated, she went on and told
Le, "I want you to recuse someone as soon as possible."
Holley''s words sent Le utterly at a loss. With a startled look, she asked, "To rescue whom? What''s
going on?"
As she spoke, Le couldn''t help getting nervous. She wasn''t prepared to hear what Holley hade
to say.
"Melissa lost all her money when she gambled in Macao. Now she is confined by the usurypany. I
need you to go and rescue her right now."

Le was so surprised once Holley finished her request. Several questions began to hover in her mind.
''How does Holley know that Melissa is in trouble? It seems like she is happy about it, '' Le thought
confusedly.
"Did you set this trap for her?" Le asked without any fear of confrontation. Now her eyes pierced
Holley with suspicion.
Even though she didn''t hear Holley''s response, the answer seemed obvious to Le. Yet she really
couldn''t believe that Holley was capable of mobilizing so many people to set up a trap. Melissa''s fate
was changed in a blink of an eye.
Now a feeling of intimidating sped her when she looked at Holley. Holley was a powerful person. If
one day Holley decided to tackle her, she would definitely be dead.
Having seen her questioning eyes, Holley let out a loudugh. Herughter wascent and
arrogant, probably because she was ted towards the great effect of her trap. But somehow Le felt
creeped out when she heard it at night.
Holley put her hand on Le''s shoulder and warned her, "This is none of your business so you don''t
have to worry about it. I am not here to listen to your unnecessary questions. There is only one thing for
you to think about: rescue her as soon as possible. This is a great chance for you to impress her. You
must regain Melissa''s trust sessfully. Otherwise, all of my efforts will be in vain."
Le nodded solemnly and asked, "What should I do in order to save her?" Then she lowered her
head, thinking that she didn''t have any money for Melissa''s salvation.
"That''s easy. The only thing that the usurypany wants is money. You give them money, and
Melissa will return safe and sound." As soon as she finished speaking, Holley took out a bank card.
She tapped on it carelessly and then gave it to Le.
"Now take this. It contains three million dors. This will help you to put a full stop on Melissa''s misery.
Also, you need to hurry up so that you can return to the Lu family as soon as possible," she told Le.
A smile crept on Holley''s face. She could already predict a bright future in front of her.
Le took it without any hesitation and nodded her head obligingly.
A victorious smile spread across her face. She hadn''t expected that the arrogant Melissa, Charles''
mother, would ever stoop that low. Melissa might treat her as her savior when she saw her.

After Holley''s departure, Le began to get ready for her visit to Macao.
She managed to catch a flight the same night. She had apanied Melissa to the casino several
times, therefore she was quite familiar with it.

Once inside, she said in a gentle voice, "Hi, I''m Melissa Shen''s friend. I''m here to ransom her. Here I

As his eyes savored her, Le felt rage spike through her body. She couldn''t help but feel pure disgust
for this man. "Excuse me? I have given you what you want. Now it is time for you to give Melissa to me.
I am in a hurry," she spat out angrily.
"No problem. There isn''t any problem, of course. To tell you the truth, originally we were nning to
charge some interest. However, you are such a gorgeousdy. I have decided to take nothing but our
principal three million dors," the director smiled flirtatiously.
Looking around, Le realized how alone she was. After all, in this strange ce, she was powerless. If
the man intended to do anything to her, nobody would save her.
Le forced a smile on her face and pretended to be fearless. "Then where is she?" she asked, a bit
impatiently.
"Well, we''ll release her undoubtedly. But before that, we need to finish some procedures. I will assure
you that you can see her tomorrow morning. At the moment, you can''t meet her. Anyway, you look
extremely tired. May I have the honor of booking a hotel for you?"
Le restrained her anger and decided to ignore his offensive manners. She wanted to take Melissa
home as soon as possible. But since they wouldn''t release Melissa until tomorrow morning, she had no
choice but to wait. Despite her frustration, she didn''t dare to offend them now.
"Thank you for your kindness, sir. But I have already booked a hotel before I came here. I don''t think I
will be needing your help," she said feigning a smile.
A look of regret passed his eyes after her rejection. At the same time, he detected the anger she was
