    "I don''t know who he is! Butter, Cassie told me that he is one of her colleagues'' brother. Apparently,


    he likes her so he oftenes by to visit," I retorted in annoyance. "I hate to judge but there''s


    something about him that I don''t find appealing. He looks like a refined rascal. I would have definitely


    broken his legs if Cassie didn''t stop me."


    Hearing I''s angry tone, Sheryl burst intoughter. "You really have a temper! I wonder how Aron can


    stand it," shemented, shaking her head.


    "He doesn''t have a choice. He is my husband," I replied casually.


    "It is the first time that I''ve heard of that man. Cassie never mentioned anything about him before,"


    Sheryl analyzed slowly. "Do you think he caused the misunderstanding between Nick and Cassie?"


    "Are you saying that Nick has broken up with Cassie? How could it be possible? No wonder Cassie


    sounded so different earlier. Maybe she and Nick are pretty much done." I nodded her head.


    "Yes, it is true. They haven''t talked to each other for quite some time now." Before Sheryl could


    continue, her phone suddenly started ringing.


    "Hold on. Let me take this call first." Pulling out the phone from her bag, she checked and found Nick''s


    name on the caller ID.


    "Hello, Nick! Where are you now? Did anything bad happen yesterday? How are you?" Sheryl couldn''t


    help to throw all those questions to Nick as soon as she picked up.


    Sheryl sounded so worried that Nick felt guilty when he replied, "I''m okay. Don''t worry about it. I just


    feel upset. Are you free today? I cane and meet you so we can talk."


    "Sure. I''m at the hospital right now because I is sick." Sheryl took a nce at I, who was now


    gesturing at her. Sheryl immediately understood what she meant so she continued, "You cane


    here now because I also wants to talk to you."


    "I is in the hospital? Is it serious?" Nick couldn''t hide the worry in his voice.


    "She had a stomachache earlier but she''s fine now. Don''t worry about her," Sheryl assured him.


    "Okay then. Which hospital? I''ll be on my way," Nick asked immediately.


    "The hospital where Cassie is working at. See you then." Sheryl hung up before Nick could even reply.


    She then walked towards I''s bed and sat on the edge.


    "You''re indeed my good friend. You understood my gesture," I praised Sheryl.

    Meanwhile, Nick was left staring at his phone after Sheryl hung up.


    I was confined in the hospital where Cassie was working.


    He guessed Sheryl intentionally told him that.

    When he thought about that, Nick felt excited. He never realized how painful it was to be


    misunderstood by the one he loved, until it happened to him. He then realized that he couldn''t leave


    Cassie.


    He thought it would be a good opportunity to clear things out with her. No matter whether Cassie would

    One hourter, Nick finally arrived at the hospital. He went to ask a nurse where the ward of I was.

    He came across many nurses along the way. He was actually afraid that Cassie would be one of them,

    stopped walking immediately when he heard them talking.


    "Sheryl, why did Cassie stop me if she loved Nick? She should''ve just let me kick that man''s ass," I


    "It is so obvious. You''re in the hospital. She works here. How would she allow you to kick someone''s


    ass here? Besides, you said that he is the brother of Cassie''s colleague, right? Think about it. If they


    find out that there''s been a fight in the hospital and it involves her colleague''s brother, do you think she


    will be able to stay and still work here?" Sheryl rolled her eyes at I. She couldn''t understand why I


    needed to ask her if it was so obvious.

    "I believe Cassie is still in love with Nick. That man is not even her type."

    Outside the ward, Nick was startled because he didn''t expect that these two had made a n for him.

    "Hi, Sheryl and I," Nick greeted them casually.


    When I saw Nick, her eyes lit up and she said, "Hey! Here you are! I miss you so much."


    Nick blushed. I still said what she thought, without worrying that her husband might hear her. If he


    did, would he take Nick as an enemy? Nick was worried about that.


    "Nick, I really cares about you. Why don''t youe closer and let her take a good look at you?"


    Sheryl said with a broad smile.


    Nick had no other choice. He walked closer to the bed, putting the fruit basket on the night table as he


    went.


    "You don''t really have to bring me anything, but thank you," I nagged.


    Nick shyly stroke his hair. "I don''t know what you like so I just bought some fruits. I hope you like them.


    How are you feeling?"
