<h4>Chapter 45: Alicia''s Death</h4>


    It was a one on one battle to the death, Daemon the protagonist of the novel, agaisn''t the viin of this arc, he had beige hair and an above average face, but I guess it doesn''t matter to describe him further.


    Daemon unsheathed his sword and charged at the viin, he swung his de at him but he dodged it and countered with a punch to the face.


    "Ahhh!" Daemon groaned and fell on the ground, he was bleeding from his mouth.


    "Hahahaha, you''re weak, you can''t even defeat me" the viinughed and kicked him in the stomach, "you''re just a kid who thinks he is strong."


    "Shut up..." Daemon tried to get up but couldn''t.


    "No, I won''t shut up, you''re pathetic, you think you can save her? You can''t even save yourself" the viin mocked him.


    "I SAID SHUT UP!" Daemon shouted and got up, he punched the viin in the face and sent him flying backwards.


    "You bastard" the viin growled and pulled out a knife, he threw it at Daemon but he dodged it.


    "I''m gonna kill you" Daemon roared and charged at the viin again, he swung his sword at him but he blocked it with his bare hands.


    "You''re not gonna kill me" the viin grinned and pushed Daemon away, "because I''m gonna kill you first."


    This was... boring.


    I mean the fight happening before my eyes was impressive, but I was honestly only waiting for the moment the viin pulls his secret move and kills Alicia, I just needed that confirmation before going back to my dorm.


    And as the two men kept exchanging blows, I kept wondering when it would happen.


    But after Daemon swung his de at the viin''s chest and actually hit him, I knew that something was wrong.


    "Daemon isn''t supposed to be stronger than him right now, what the...?" I wondered, but I guess it''s fine as long as everything goes ording to the script.


    The viin stepped back and touched his bleeding chest with an annoyed expression on his face.


    "You little shit..." he groaned, then put his hand forward.


    "This is it" I mumbled.


    Suddenly a red magic circle appeared in the viin''s hand and above Alicia''s head.


    His special ability and n in the novel was to summon a magical beast above Alicia''s head, which ended up killing her as she didn''t expect it and because the main character was overwhelmed by the beige haired man.


    But in this situation where the main character was winning... what I feared most happened.


    And as the magic beast''s head started appearing from the circle, Daemon turned his head and noticed it, thus leading him to rush in Alicia''s direction and jump to save her at thest moment before the creature dropped to the floor.


    And instantly, the exact moment I saw that shitty sight before my eyes... I snapped.


    [Anger meter: 100/100]


    [Skill: Hatred, activated]


    Daemon had now already cut the beast''s head and was yet again overwhelming the viin, meaning Alicia would undeniably live if this continued.


    But no, I can''t allow that.


    "Alicia has to die..." I kept repeating these words as the hatred aura around me increased little by little.


    And that''s when I remembered the words I said the day she first appeared, "Alicia needs to die, and if by some miracle she doesn''t during the fight, then I''ll be the one to end her."


    "I''ll be the one to end her..." I mumbled thatst part and put my hand inside of my pocket, pulling out the relic I acquired before.


    Then... I aimed it at the girl as she kept watching Daemon fight the viin.


    "Goodbye Alicia, but you need to die for the sake of the world" I smiled as I thought this, "you will not be missed."


    I felt absolutely no remorse towards her, it''s the opposite actually... I felt happy I was the one who was gonna do it.


    Maybe I''m getting affected by that [Hatred] skill, but maybe not... I don''t wanna know.


    I nced at her onest time and could see she had tears streaming down her face behind her sses.


    And without hesitation, I pulled the trigger out of the room and instantly, a violet beam came out of the end of the gun and flew towards Alicia who was clueless about everything.


    It hit her directly in the head, leading it to immediately explode.


    "Gotcha" I was happy I got it on the first shot as I truly couldn''t afford to be found out if I wanted to stay alive.


    ""WHAT THE FUCK?" both Daemon and the viin shouted in unison after Alicia''s headless body fell to the ground.


    I don''t know why I felt happy I hit my shot instead of being worried I killed an innocent person, but what can I say other than it''s for the greater good?


    Instantly, Daemon dropped the viin and ran at full speed towards the hallway, which was from where the beam came from, of course, in any normal situation I would be trapped.


    But...


    [Skill: Aura Body, activated]


    My body merged with the aura on my back and I directly went into the upper corner of the hallway to hide.


    I saw Daemone out of the room and check the hallway for a bit, but he realized nobody was there so he went back inside.


    "Phew" I deactivated the skill after making sure he was gone, ''I almost got caught"


    [You are only allowed to use the skill 30 seconds at a time]


    Which means I had basically been five seconds away from dying by his hands...


    "Well, it''s fine, as long as the job is done" I shrugged and walked out of the basement.


    Now all I had to do was wait for the next arc to start.


    "Hahahaha" I couldn''t stop myself fromughing on the way out though.

    (Inside of the room)


    Daemon was currently beating up the viin who he thinks killed his friend.


    "TELL ME WHO YOUR BOSS IS OR I''LL DESTROY YOU!" he was out of his mind and only thought about vengeance.


    "H-here..." the viin after so much torture finally gave in and handed a card to the blonde man, "all the info is there..."


    Daemon grabbed the card and read the name of the organization: "Lotus High".


    Below it was the name of the man who he thought was the murderer of his loved one: "Dariel".


    And below that was the adress.


    "Thank you for the info asshole" Daemon who still held his sword in his right hand shed the man''s throat and killed him on the spot.


    He looked back towards where Alicia''s body was, and without even checking on her or dropping a single tear, he went out of the room to go upstairs, back to his dorm.


    "Farewell, Alicia" were hisst words before walking out, thus leaving the two corpses behind, the souls of their owners already gone.
