<h4>Chapter 44: Uing Disaster</h4>


    A week had passed since Daemon saved her from those bullies and I could notice that the blonde was hanging out more and more with the transfer student, at first it was only during ss but now we could see them hangout together in the hallways.


    I was currently sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch with Mina and Sarah, the two of them were talking about their day while I was listening to them.


    "Oh and then, Kaine did-"


    "Wow, really?"


    Boring stuff basically, I was more concentrated on another scene infront of my eyes: Daemon and Alicia were sitting beside each other in the cafeteria.


    This sight surprised more than one as everybody knows Daemon doesn''t like to hangout with others, yet this new transfer student pierced his shield?


    "That''s the power of plot armor and scripting for ya" I mumbled.


    The author took a whopping eight chapters of his novel to show the rtionship between Alicia and Daemon improving as we slowly saw the protagonist spend more time with her and actually enjoy it.


    But of course, us readers thought this was the beggining of a change of personality for the main character, but she was only there to die and fuel his anger, thus leading him to the next arcs.


    "Kaine, are you okay?" Mina asked me.


    "Yeah, why?" I replied.


    "You''ve been staring at those two for a while now" she pointed at Daemon and Alicia.


    "Oh, I was just wondering how they got so close in such a short amount of time" I lied.


    "Well, I heard that she was being bullied and he saved her, then they started hanging out together" Sarah exined.


    Yeah, basically people think he stays around her to protect her from anyoneing close, but I believe a single warning from Daemon would of made anyone stop.

    Through the days, as I counted them, I kept observing Alicia and Daemon as they spent their time together, I could already sense that a feeling other than friendship was slowly appearing.


    I guess the author did a good job in that part.


    [6 days left]


    Sudden dreams started appearing in my sleep, some where I would interfere with the uing arc, thus saving Alicia, because I definitely could if i''m being honest.


    But the other majority were... Alicia dying, but not because of the viin, but by my own hands.


    I usually woke up at that moment and felt shivers running down my spine, of course I would never do that, if Daemon found out he would kill me.


    [5 days left]


    I was walking in the hallway when I saw them kissing, it was a quick peck on the lips but it was enough to make me realize that the author was right, the two of them were in love, but in the original novel they didn''t go as far because of Mina''s and Sarah''s constant appearances.


    "Damn, I didn''t expect that" Imented and continued walking.


    But of course, I was still counting the days until her death, and I was getting closer and closer to the inevitable.


    "I wonder how he will react..." a maniacal smile curled up on my face.

    I was sitting in ss when I noticed something strange, Daemon was missing, and so was Alicia.


    "Where are they?" I wondered.


    "Ms.Lana, where are Daemon and Alicia?" I asked the teacher.


    "They are both absent today, I don''t know why though" she answered.


    "I see..." I nodded and looked at the empty seats, "they must be having fun somewhere."


    Without the two first heroines blocking their romance, I guess they could go as far as they wanted.


    [3 days left]


    I was in my dorm when I received a message from Mina, she was asking me toe to the garden.


    "Why?" I texted her back.


    "Juste" she replied.


    "Okay..." I sighed and got up, I walked out of my dorm and headed towards the garden.


    When I arrived, I saw Mina and Sarah sitting on a bench, they were looking at me with worried expressions on their faces.


    "What''s wrong?" I asked.


    "We need to talk" Mina said.


    "About what?"


    "About you" she replied.


    "Me?" I was confused.


    "Yes, we''ve been noticing that you''ve been acting weirdtely, especially when ites to Alicia" she exined.


    "What do you mean?"


    "You keep staring at her, and whenever she is mentioned, you seem to get annoyed" she added.


    "I don''t know what you''re talking about" I denied, "it''s all in your head, let''s go back to the dorm" I looked at them with a nk expression.


    The two girls looked at each before sighing, "fine, but if there is anything, tell us and we''ll be here for you"


    I feel weird, I don''t why, I have this strange feeling inside of me I can''t exin when I try to think about the uing event.


    [2 days left]


    ...


    I have nothing to say, I don''t wanna think.


    [One day left]


    Tomorrow is the day it happens, the day Alicia dies and Daemon drowns in darkness.


    I wonder just how badly it will be this time as they actually got closer than I expected them to, I wonder what will he do at this very moment...


    And why do I feel so happy at the thought of that?


    [Disaster Day]


    As much as I hate to say it, I didn''t feel guilty towards Alicia or Daemon, actually I didn''t feel anything at all towards their uing situation, it''s not any of my problems.


    "This is needed for the future of the world, no matter what, it has to happen"

    "I''m gonna go outside for awhile" I told Mina after ss ended and arriving at our dorm.


    The reason? I needed to assist and make sure that everything goes well.


    "Huh? Oh okay but be sure toeback" she agreed and went back to what she was doing.


    I walked out of the dorm and headed towards the ce where it would happen, the basement of the academy.


    I entered the building and walked down the stairs, and I could already hear voicesing from the end of the corridor.


    The reason why they attracted Daemon to this ce is to kill him after the minotaur arc as they noticed that he damaged their ns, I should have obviously been part of the equation too but I guess an extra can''t interfere with the plot.


    The viin of this arc basically just grabbed Alicia in the hallway while Daemon was next to her and he led the two of them down there, where nobody could hear them.


    I walked down the corridor and stopped infront of the door, I could hear the conversation going on inside.


    "You''re gonna regret even trying that you little shit" Daemon''s voice was harsh.


    Then I peeked inside of the room as the door was open and saw the viin in one corner, while Daemon and Alicia were in the other, thetter on her knees as she was visibly injured.


    "It''s time" I mumbled as I saw the two men pull out their weapons.
