Chapter 1845
The people present shifted their attention to Nicole. She reached for the band aid, her gaze lowered.
“We can be in a fake rtionship. You help me navigate this crisis, and I’ll pave the way for you in the
industry. Six months down the line, we can release a statement citing irreconcble differences and part
ways amicably. What do you think?”
Leighton’s expression darkened momentarily. “What makes you think I need your help to get into the
industry?”
Nicole responded calmly, “Despite your soaring poprity, you’ve only recently entered the
entertainment scene. Those scripts won’t fall into yourp without the right connections. Unless, of
course, you’re willing to seek assistance from your father or cousin.”
Nicole knew exactly how to rile up Leighton. His family disapproved of his chosen career, and he was
adamant about making a name for himself without their support.

Leighton gritted his teeth and retorted, “I am where I am today through my own efforts!”
Nicole raised her gaze. “So, you should understand better than anyone how challenging it is to climb to
the top without connections. How will youpete with other actors for roles without awork?”
“I’m still young!” Leighton argued.
“When I won my first acting award, I was no older than you when you stepped into the industry,” Nicole
nonchntly remarked.
Leighton was at a loss for words.
Nicole was a well-known acting queen in the industry, a typical actress who thrived on the attention of
adoring fans.
While other actors might take time to grasp the emotions and nuances of their roles, Nicole swiftly
immersed herself in the character upon receiving a script.
Her profound understanding of characters and adept portrayal of emotions always impressed the
directors with whom she coborated.
Leighton was talented but was nothingpared to top-tier actors like Nicole.
Nicole had downyed her achievement. Leighton knew that her first acting award came even earlier.
When she was fourteen, she starred in a film that shocked the industry, earning her a direct nomination
for Best Supporting Actress that year.
Due to her age, all she received was recognition after careful consideration from various parties. But
everyone knew that Nicole was indeed the undisputed queen.
Despite the award system being structured that way, it failed to mask her exceptional talent. Four years
later, she got a Golden Film Award for a film she starred in that year.
Leighton had some reservations about her personality but genuinely admired her professional abilities.
So, hearing Nicole say this now made him feel a bit embarrassed.
Estelle, on the other hand, remainedposed. “Ms. Aspen, Leighton hasn’tpletely shifted his
focus to film and television yet. He’s an idol. I’m sure you know how a public romantic rtionship can
jeopardize an idol’s future in the early stages of their career. I’m sorry, but we have to reject this
proposal.”
Estelle had been in the industry for years. Regardless of how grand Nicole painted the picture, it didn’t
sway her. Leighton had a natural talent for acting, but it was unclear how far he could go.
He was currently securing endorsements and participating in various activities due to his status as a
rising star. As long as Leighton didn’t act carelessly, his poprity could be sustained for a few more
years. However, once a romantic rtionship was made public, his fanbase, which majorly consisted of
females, would drop him.
Most of Leighton’s fans supported him primarily because of his rtionship status, hoping he remained
single or romantically avable.
Meanwhile, there were also a number of fans who supported him mainly due to his professional
achievements. They invested money to propel his career and disapproved of any romantic involvement
that might distract him from work.
There is little one can do when fans go wild. An idol’s poprity is built on their fans’ support, making it
vulnerable to their unpredictable reactions.
